Recently, i came across this interview with Micheal Everson who is expert in writing system. It was really interesting to learn such script existed in our history . In fact the script is so beautiful and intriguing that i initiated an effort to learn it personally. Given your considerable expertise in extinct scripts, how would you characterize the foundations and the structure of the Osmania script? Structurally, Osmanya is a simple left-to-right alphabet with 22 consonants and 8 vowels. Three of those vowels are long vowels; the consonants WAW and YA are used to represent the other two long vowels UU and II. The Osmanya alphabet is very well suited to represent the sounds of the Somali language, in just the same way as the new Latin orthography does. The alphabetical order of Osmanya shows the influence of the Arabic script. The shapes of its letters are simple, to recognize and easy to write. It is a marvellous invention. To learn about Osmaniya script, please visit http://std.dkuug.dk/JTC1/SC2/WG2/docs/n2361r.pdf To read about the interview, visit here. http://somalinet.com/library/osmaniya/?show=micheal_int

I am quite positive that senator Kerry will take over the White house office of presidency. They are now busy at the election race but i am sure they will give their full support to the new government once the election is over.

The surprise thing about our president is that he hasn't uttered one single word about the people of the North West and yet we are experiencing continuous roar of cries and complaints.

I am glad to hear this news. I doubt that Burco has population over 400,000. Who actualized these bogus stats. The foreign affairs minister of China congratulated the new president. "The Chinese government has been closely following Somalia's peace course, acted as coordinator in the United Nations Security Council on the Somalia issue, supported international community's mediating efforts, financed Somalia Peace Association within capacity, and actively provided humanitarian aid for the Somali people," Zhang said.

Nugaal, They see the president's patriotism threat to our division because he knows the few men who are against our division in that triangle. Therefore he will use his influence and authority as given by the international community to attract our brothers and sisters in North Somalia to help us build Somalia with collective conscience.

Og-Girl, The people of Puntland and the people of Zone five share brotherhood and they hail from one ancestor. We share the grievances and struggle as much as others share the grin of our grievances. Somalia is one and we will unite to be part of the struggle against the Ethiopians who occupy our land. Our new president has already declared to unite all somalis from every corner and pursue their common goal in achieving peace and order

Celebrations in Jowhar and Middle Shabele: Supporting the new President
NASSIR replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
We need pictures of celebration especially from these areas. -
you weren't making fun of him truly. You stated a fact that he shouldn't rely on those faction leaders in Mogadisho. They are united behind their president.

I think the president will appoint ministers based on meritocracy. He has also the strength to unite all somalis from South to North. The best way to collect weapons or disarm militias is to first employ the militias . This establishment can lead to stability.

OG_Girl, lol why did you edit. That was good response to Suldaan.

Is that so hard to fathom brother? I guess it might be for his cheerleaders Rahima, the president recieved 189 votes out of 270 votes excluding the five votes that were missing due to some members falling sick and spoilt ones. Is that so hard to accept as fair. I am sure many opposition will find it hard also when the president unites all Somalis in the final.

OG_girl, I think Baidabo is small city that doesn't fit to be the capital. It is also close to the border, may be Hargeisa for the time being.

Farxan thanks for your welcome. I agree it is too early to think of new governmental plans.

OG Girl I have that feelings for peace. How will the people of Mogadisho approach him as president. I am excited about his near visit to Mogadisho

Excuse my questions, can anyone answer these questions. Why are people reserving comment?
