Through a second hand info from a person I know who is very close to the Ugaska beesha Bula-Haji, ugaas Hafow, their protest is not altogether a rejection of the administrative positions given to them altho they deserved more, but to manifest how unsatisfied they are with the allocation of the positions of authority for the region of lower Juba. They do, however, support the government and vowed to continue their support fully in terms of the administration, peace, and participation of the civil and army services-nearly 800 of them accepted to be recruited recently despite a sizable number of them turning down the enrollment due to a conflict of the sources of income that is congruent with the one they had to forgo—see that as an opportunity cost

Don't you think that this action which interprates out of the adminstration's decree to take over the control of this part might lead to an armed conflict since this area was the center of the dispute not long ago. I was reading this article from Laasqoray.net, it sheds more light on the expansionist policy of Puntland in taking over areas traditionally belonging to the clans that settle there in total disregard of their concerns and positions. Digniin Falka Dowlada Puntland waxa uu horseedayaa Dagaal. Boosaaso(LaasqorayNET exclusive)-Dowlad Goboleedka la fara maroojistey ee Puntland ayaa maanta qaraar kasoo saartey dhul daaqsimeedka ku aadan Galbeedka Degmada Boosaaso, wareegtadan ayaa ku cad in lala wareego dhul daaqsimeedka buuraha Galbeed ilaa iyo xeebta oo reer guuraaga Beesha Dubays ku dhaqan tahay. Digreeto maanta ka soo baxday xafiiska madaxweynaha Puntland sumaddeeduna ahayd MW/DPS/45/2007, kuna taariikhaysneyd 13/02/2007, ayaa lagu go'aamiyey in dhulkaas bannaan ee u dhexeeya Garoonka Diyaaradaha ilaa iyo Jaanka Qaw oo ay ku jirto Buuraha daanta Galbeed ee Boosaaso ilaa iyo Xeebta oo ay ku taalo wadada aada Ceelaayo iyo Qaw ay dawladdu "dan guud ula wareegtey". Wareegtadan oo xalaaleyneysa boobka lagu hayo dhulka beesha Dubays ee Galbeedka Boosaaso ayaa waxay horseedi kartaa Majayahan kale maadaama dhulkaasi aysan xaq u lahayn iney Dowlad aan loo dhameyn ay qaadato. Deegaanka Galbeedka Boosaaso ilaa iyo gegeda diyaaradaha ayaa waxaa ku daadsan reer guuraaga beesha Dubays iyo beelo kale oo la deg deegaankaas sida Gaashaanbuurta. Boosaaso ayaa waayadii danbe fidey oo baaxadeed sadex jibaarantey, maamulka hada ka taliya Dowlad goboleedkii loo aasaasey wax wadaag ayaa waxa uu ku dhaqaaqey sidii uu Golaha deegaanka Boosaaso uga fara maroojin lahaa Beesha Warsangeli oo qeybtii ay ku lahaan jirtey hoos loo dhimey xaga beesha Cali Saleebaan iyo Cismaan Maxamuud kor loo qaadey. Caaqil ku sugan Magaalada Boosaaso ayaa noo xaqiijiyey iney jirto dhaq dhaqaaq siyaasadeed oo looga hortegi doono dhulka ay dooneyso in Dowladu la wareegto isagoo intaa noo raaciyey in arinku uusan ahayn dhul dan guud ee la wado in labara kiciyo reer guuraaga beelaha dega hareeraha Boosaaso oo lagu beero beelo kale. Tan iyo bur burkii Dowladii dhexe ayaa xuduudka beesha Warsangeli ee Bari isa soo dhimayey iyadoo ay jiraa deegaano badan oo laga barakiciyey beesha. Talaabadan ay ku dhaqaaqday Dowlada Puntland ayaa horseedi karta dhaq dhaqaaq colaadeed oo dib uga dhex cusboonaada beelaha *****yeed iyadoo maamulku uu masuul ka noqon doono wixii khasaare ah oo ka dhasha arinkan Maamulka Cade Muuse ayaa hore uga baaraan degey qodidii Macdanta inkastoo hada markuu kasoo noqday Dubai uu carabka ku dhiftey in macdan baaristii ay dib u bilaaban doonto taasina ay dhalisey shaki cusub oo laga qabo maamulkan uu horjooge u yahay Cade Muuse. Ha moogan faalo dheer oo dhowaan laga soo saari doono falkan cusub ee uu ku kacay maamulka Cade Muuse. Xasan Cabdi, LaasqorayNET/ Boosaaso

Garad, Let me correct the article you posted about the schools. Badhan has two high schools, two technical colleges, and one boarding school for the orphans, Xingalol has one high school, Hadaftimo, Dhahar has two high schools, Midgale has one, and Lasqorey has one high school that is now under remodeling--it was funded by UIE-based agency led by women from the region. The effort to build a Uni by the Diaspora was opposed by JNA representatives of Sanag, Mohamed Muse and Fatima Jibrell for reasons that have to do with an emphasis on giving full support such as the meeting of the funds to all the resources those schools demand. Adequately meeting the needs for the Intermediate and High schools in the whole region has worked very effectively so far. The problem comes from the arrangement UN imposed on the community that unfairly lumps it with Hargeisa. UNESCO probably consigned the books to Sanag through the Hargeisa office. The dilemma of the community lies in the fact that the United Nations administrative arrangement had lumped it with the Northwest Zone and established its zone office in Hargeisa. Besides the fact that Hargeisa is 300 miles away from the center of the community, politically speaking, the Community and its leadership do not see eye to eye with the leadership in Hargeisa, on matters relating to the present and future of Somalia . On the other hand, the United Nation’s Zone Office in Bossasso, which is only less than a hundred-miles away from the center of the community, has all along maintained that assistance to the eastern Sanaag(extends between the cities of Bossasso - the capital of the Bari region and Erigavo, the capital of the Sanaag region - in an east-west direction.) community is not within its purview except the villages and towns in Bari in which the community settles. A road project is underway as soon as the Las qorey project is over.

I like Haydra. Two guys I have always admired the remarkable talent and profession with which they reported News: Haydra and Mohamoud Hassan. I hope Mohamoud Hassan comes out of retirement.

Somalis have been looking for alternative sources of news and Radio service that can reach a sizable number of Somali people in Somalia. I would also recommend fair selection and hiring of capable correspondents, news anchors, and reporters. Thx Samarui

Ahmed Gure, I thought you were speaking of Somalis in Juba , not a particular clan. Juba is settled by various major clans.

The author of the article makes a raft of errors and exposes himself as a man with hidden agenda or someone paid to write for the ICU and their warlord undercurrents, currently lurking in the city. He indeed asserts this fact that they blended with the locals on the expense of the fragile security in Mogadisho created by the government. He makes his biggest mistake at his assertion that the TFG is dominated by certain clan from the north. In fact, TFG is very fair in terms of its composition, and ministers who hold the most significant posts are distributed along equitable lines. He also regurgitates the old but failed warnings of the ICU. It was the biggest political miscalculation the ICU ever made in initiating the war and laying siege to areas surrounding Baidabo—the old Provisional seat of the TFG. The miscalculation emanated from a widely held local discernment, which seemed to have instilled hubristic confidence in the ICU/USC camp during when Gen. Aideed led the campaign against the U.N mission to Somalia-a mission that was to restore hope and feed the starved populace of Somalia. The discernment inteprated the withdrawal of U.S troops as victory, hence the UIC could as well put up a longer resistance and eventually defeat any force that comes on their way. However, government forces with the help of Ethiopia blew up that inflated balloon within a week. Are we to think of the voluntary withdrawal of U.S troops in Somalia as a sign of victory to the USC? That 1993 fight had an unfortunate outcomes on Somali people and the ethnic cleansing episodes in Rwanda. The decision to withdraw US troops coincided with the transition during which the senior Bush was being replaced by Clinton who had made the promises in his campaign that he will bring U.S troops home before he were elected. And he did.

Aji stands for all the major nomad clans in the North, South and west of Somalia. Bay and Baidabo clans are Aji themselves. However, what I am saying is that Swahili speaking coastal people in Somalia are different than Aji.

lol, keep them coming

Majority called Aji is homogenious but not all of them

Look out to Xishoodbadane-guys. Most mr.right are in that characteristic category.

What about gabaygii CALI DHUUX I do think that Women are praised only when the lyrical producer or the poet is in love of a girl, but in reality our culture puts down Women. I might be wrong but I was sort of influenced by some books I read a while ago, eg, Nuruddin Farah, and some other well know Somali authors. read, Rise A Knight by Ali H. Abdulla And Injustice to Women by A. Hirad, a follow up article to Rise A Knight.

Abdullahi Yousuf's claims being Arab what is true about?
NASSIR replied to Kamalu Diin's topic in Politics
What is wrong in being an Arab? I do believe we are either Arabs or a mix of Arab and Cushites(pharaoeh). Some of my cousins do exactly look like Arabs and they are pure Somali all the way to the last Grandfather I am descendent of. It makes me wonder how in the world they look so Arabs that the claim to relate to such roots merits the charge of mythical corruption into our culture? Can anybody explain why? -
Kamal, how you been man? I love those songs. Thx nsyl.

"My people will not be the sacrificial lamb for liberating Somalia. they have gone through alot of hardship(US carpet bombardment, posioning of water sources,TFG, Ethiopian and Kenyan forces looting plundering, raping and ethnic cleansing " I agree!

I will think about all of these questions should time permit. They are sure very good questions to answer.

Ex-xisbiga, Somalia is awash with weapons , something that was clear to everyone. I don't understand your aim of posting [octogenerian] few tanks given to us to kill one another. I very much doubt that they can be driven to several miles. You have to understand the Rayale governor uses them for the protection of his palace from the possibility of sub-clan attacks. Remember in Mogadishu, the 77 military base was left unscathed with thousands of tanks by the former regime after its troops disintegrated and clannish war took on high toll. People of Cadado captured it as I do remember and occupied there for a while. As I also remember, four of these BMs were based in Xingalol, DamalaXagare in Sanaag region. I think they are still there and maintained by the locals. One of them was probably sold. Weapons are every where. See the full picture
