Al-shabaab will bring nothing but honor and pride to Somalis. Only the enemies of our nation wish to see their demise. Cadaan, I had the luck of listening of the father of the stoned girl, posted here and was harshly critical of them but please give the liberators their due credit. Prof. Samatar was on Al-Jazeera this week hailing as a long-awaited victory the group's determination to begin the long journey to emancipate our minds from tribal bigotry and behead the enemy that perpetuate our weakness. I was against the Islamic courts and its new personality Ahlu Sunna for employing our religion as a political tool but not the Shabaabs and their message to bring justice and peace to Somalia. They have no chain of order or command but their main aim is to trust Allah and rid Somali towns, villages or any nomadic settlement of thugs, goons, and tribal militias under the command of Ethiopian-supported warlord. Just as it's rightful to protect one's land and be a master of its own destiny, let them rule through the commandments and prohibitions of Allah Taala. Bless them

It's not about mistakes they were alleged to have made. It's the naivety of our people to accept at face value of the other war relayed via other non-Muslim sites/media as legitimate, deserving and just. Whoever is at war with our wronged nation doesn't have to harm us physically but they will pursue other malevolent methods of tarnishing the reputation of Islam and those who advance its pure cause. If Shabaabs were all bad, how come Kismayo, Merka and other places racked by daily pillaging, destruction of the environment and killings can have the complete opposite of that? A simple Q that should insulate our easily fragile central processing unit from unwanted Virus.

Sophist, Garaadka ma deg-degin ee dhibka jira ayuu ka hadley. Haddii aanan wax laga qaban oo meesha aanan si cadaalad iyo mudnaan ku dhisan wax loogu qaybsan saxib Puntland ku deysay oo waxay noqotey meel hal reer ama hal jifo leedahey. Wax baddan bay reer Sool, Sanaag, Hawd iyo Galbeedka Bari dulqaateen oo tanaasuleen. Haddana iska daa in wax loo garto , waxaa loogu sii daray dacaayad raqiis ah iyo idinkaa kala qaybsan. Soo ma dhici karto in beritoole ay dhibaato tan oo kale ah ku habsato reer tolkeen. Mise sheekadu waxay weeye. Si kastoo laguu caawiyoo, cudud laguu siiyo Cajabayeey abaal aan la celin, ma carradiinaa leh Iam an advocate of a bottom-up approach athwart political participation and economic development on a national level. Therefore, the coalition building efforts did not bear any fruits and or were scuttled in the sense of greed and clan interest. PL and SL in my view are a stepping stone to attain bargaining power in a Government of National Union . Sultan M. A Shire did not summon for the creation of USP for his own interest but he was cognizant of the lumbering provisions of a contract signed based on transient affinity rather than sturdy and irrevocable principle. It's just amazing the inhabitants of these lands have to give up so much of their rights for the sake of a fictitious umbrella. Ninkaas Generalka ah, I thought he was a politician but he proved to be no more than a General who is content with Ministerial Post of another clan's House. And I believe wuxuu jagadaas uu qabteyna kama aheyn in uu tolkiisa ku liido ee waxay ka aheed yaanan ceeb iyo xan kaa raacin in kastoo qabiil wax ku dhisan yihiin, hadana waxay isugu soo urruurtey in qalad qalad lagu saxo, reerkuna ay jab iyo kala daadsanaan ay ku danbeeyaan. Blessed, Koora-Dadab is a historic nick for a man named Raad-Wanle. It literaly means the one who didn't know how to fit and balance the dressage saddle for the Horse. He was a skillful horse rider and fighter but pretended not to show it lest it undermines his primary goal. It's a long story and you can get enough of it by reading a newly released Somali book whose title is my Online allias. Koora-Tuunshe, saxib u sii sharax inta kale lol

Of course, Khalid. It's good for Africa and this type of investment model should be replicated all over the continent. The top-down approach have been a disaster in Africa. It benefits only the few and the corrupted. I hope for their success in this endeavor if an Accountability and Oversight Office is established for this purpose.

^u right Galeydh should have never coalesced with Jees and Morgan. But still the D-jibouti plan is a flawed one and it won't resemble the TNG in any form or shape. It would be different players with self-interested goals. Naxar, that is what it is and it's recipe for another big disaster.

This is a massive investment in the agricultural sector, but one with peculiar approach. The investors from New York have entered deal with the Elders and promised 10% return being ploughed back into the Community. Besides, they intend to build the infrastructure essential for this Mechanized Agriculture and which entail the creation of more jobs. However, from the perspective of the dangerous political terrain, they are optimistic that they should be able to build good relations with Government of Sudan and bypass the sanctions against the regime. ^from the Radio interview. Sharp and hearty ----------- A country divided is a country conquered by Iman Dahir Salah “Donyale” “The upright in every generation will carry the knowledge, rejecting the distortion of the extremists, the false claims of the liars, and the false interpretation of the ignorant.” [Declared Hasan by Shaykh Saleem al-Hilaalee] We are all one of the same ethnicity, so tell me why do you frown upon me? I have been noticing an injustice within our Somali society, the core principles of Islamnimo and Somalinimo is nonexistent. Our society has crumbled and what very little that is left is evaporating as I write this. I have always believed that the Somali Diasporas would make a change but now, all I see is history repeating itself. All I see is hatred brewing; all I see is division stirring our very foundation. I am beginning to lose hope for the change I wanted my future children to see. We are the result of CULTURAL IMPERIALISM; where brothers have been turned against each other for foolish and selfish reasons. We are allowing ourselves to be divided which in return we are conquered. We are potentially a great country, yet we are allowing ourselves to be weakened by the bigger hand of the west. THEY want us lawless, THEY want us to hate, and fight, starve and die. Their objectives is to strip us of our wealth, our health and our land. We are handing it to them with ease. I’ll say it flatly Puntland and Somaliland is going to be the demise of our nation despite the former's charter that it's semi-autonomous part of Somalia. Our sovereignty is in jeopardy because of tribal animosity and feuds that were fuelled a very long time ago by our first oppressors. Many of you see the issues of our country instead of attempting to help and band together to rebuild, you want to be separatists, deny your people their basic rights, and speak as if you are an entirely different race; many have this mentality not all but many and it deeply saddens me. Majority of our people are not ignorant of the riches we have in our backyard yet we are allowing the very people who have destroyed us to freely consume everything and burden our posterity with enormous psychological and economic burden. We have allowed them to rape our soil, our waters and our people. We were left with a disease not Aids but ignorance. This jahilnimo is the seeds of our own destruction. Why advocate a political separation? When they come with all their inducements, and corrupt you, steal all your resources and be indebted to them. Who will you turn to for help? Your brother on the left side of you, and your brother on the right side, only they will understand your struggle and only they will help you when you are impoverished. This is the mental picture we should be seeing. Until we are ONE people and advocate our oneness until then and only then we can be sovereign nation, and only then can we fight back and take what belongs to us; but I highly expect that to come from the new generation those who are spread out to the Far East, west, north and south. Many of you say with desperate air “Somali is lost, can’t be helped or restored” well it’s about our mentality that needs to be changed, then ruthless killings, opportunists and the vacuum for national leaders will come to an screeching stop, then there will be a lasting peace all over Somalia. The state our forefathers left for us is in its most embarrassing stage; many of those men are in supposed parliaments making deals with corporations and being paid very little for things that are worth so much more. Why must we allow weak men to determine the future of our country? Why must we allow easily corrupt men make decisions for us? There are deep injustices occurring that we are blind of. No one addresses with deep concern the root problem, and we just assume that this is an innate situation that cannot be changed. We are not barbaric; we are individuals capable of having different thoughts, feelings and actions and we can shape the future of our Government. So why do we allow with impunity tribalism to govern our lives? Why allow it to disintegrate our nation? Morals, ethics, humanism comes through one thing and that is ISLAM. Find it and be united by it. Jamhuuriyadda Soomaaliya hanoolato Iman Dahir Salah “Donyale” imansalax@gmail.com Political Science Student York University, Canada

How sad that our women are blind of the western propoganda that Islam oppresses Women. Islam obligates the advancement of women's rights. It's stated in Qur'an that "As man have legal rights over women, so women have rights over them. (Ayat 29, Sura Baqara) Islam as well commands the rule of law, economic development, Education, development of health, the prohibition of tribal, racial, linguistic and conventional division and bigotry. Under the current circumstances, Shabaabs are in the transition to liberate us mentally and physically and then the time will come when we are able to form a council of elected Ulama or highly respected scholars endowed with the Supreme authority of Allah given the right Qualifications after being vetted proberly: to be the representives of Allah and therefore conduct the scientific work essential to explain the words, commandments and prohibitions of Allah according to the time's prerequisites. So bear with the Noble Youth and give your Support. Jihad doesn't have to be physical alone. It's your knowledge and property or the money you provide for the liberation of your Homeland from a coalition of Vultures.

The sentiment of D-clan's lesser impact in monopolizing the violence in the South was echoed by a Ugandese General on Reuters. So there's a widespread consensus that Shabaabs are made up entirely of the H-block and that empowering it would indeed strangle the raging spread of the so called extremists. This is basically to strip Shabaabs of its social base, the pipeline of the resistance's lifeblood. And that has been the overriding case. And the fact that a series of reports from influential think-tanks have leaked the rumor that the TFG were predominantly structured around the D-clan and its leadership helped expedite the next course of action in accordance with America's shift of foreign policy from hard to soft power or a combination of both. However will the new experiment at the expense of unity and reconciliation work to deprive Shabaabs of its popular support or it will prove again there's no match for the Great Revolution. Where's Awad Ahmed Ashara in the list. I heard he declared his candidacy for Presidency?

Very good, below is an abstract of a series of confessions of a British spy in regards to Muslims of strong faith. He was sent by the Ministry of the Common Wealth to aggravate differences and schisms among Muslims so long as they continue their exploitation, luxury and welfare. "They were insurmountable obstacles against our objectives. For they were the kind of people who will never compromise their principles to the tiniest extent because they had turned against transient pleasures and adornments of the world and fixed their eyes on the Paradise promised by Qur'an alkerim" ^does this historic description fit the Youth?

It's essential that Al-shababs establish a diplomatic corps for their governing principles. Acceptance by the international community of their authority is all it takes to have normalized relationships. There's no radical, immoderate, backwardness or harshness in the dispensation of Shariah as the Supreme Law of Allah. Al-shababs have braught peace and justice in the areas they control. They have adhered to this Islamic principle throughout the inception of its successful resistance that Sovereignty belongs to Allah. I don't think if the west come to accept the emergence of Islamic state in Somalia, it will pose obstruction athwart to their economic or strategic interest. It's simple and based on the dispensation of justice and the administering of social conflict.

Xasan and Galaydh held the PMs once. What is the point of returning them to this portfolio or is it the two camps as always - the militarists and assemblists - as Hirad puts it, exchanging the fairy, internationally sanctioned government that exist only on paper or behind the defense of foreign army. How long shall we tolerate the cruelties and falsity of outsiders while we shun justice, mutual respect and charity that is laid out in the principles of Islamic governance. ------------------ INTERVIEW-Somali Islamist leader wants peace with Ethiopia By Abdiaziz Hassan Jan 27, 2008 ____________ DJIBOUTI, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Somalia's Islamist presidential candidate said he wants to make peace with Ethiopia, bring young militia fighters into a national security force, and rebuild the country's social services. Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, the moderate Islamist leader from the Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia (ARS), also told Reuters he was ready to discuss any political or religious issues with Islamist insurgents still fighting in Somalia.Ahmed, a law graduate from Libya, was chairman of the Islamic Courts' Union which ran Mogadishu in 2006. Initially welcomed for bringing order to a city ruled by warlords, Ethiopian troops invaded and ousted them from the capital. But the Ethiopian soldiers failed to quell a two-year Islamist insurgency and left Somalia on Monday. More than 16,000 civilians have been killed since the start of 2007, a million fled their homes and piracy has flourished off Somalia's coast. "It is very, very necessary to improve our relations with the neighbouring countries and to end the long dispute between Somalia and Ethiopia," Ahmed told Reuters late on Monday."That will help the region's development, because poverty in the region is encouraging the conflict to continue and we have to stand for eradicating it," he said.Somalia's parliament agreed on Monday to invite 200 ARS members into an expanded assembly which international players hope will elect a new president this week. Another 75 seats have been left vacant for other opposition groups to join later. The challenge for any new leader will be to bring security to the Horn of Africa nation and persuade the array of Islamist fighters to end their struggle now the Ethiopians have left. NO REASON FOR KILLING NOW Ahmed said it was time for all Somalis to find peace, whatever their political or religious ideology, and he would try and convince hardliners to work in the nation's interest. "The insurgents had been fighting for the Ethiopian withdrawal. Now they have pulled out of the country, there is no reason to fight and kill more Somalis," he said."If they have a political agenda, we are ready to talk to them. And the second issue may be based on religion, and we are ready to discuss that with them." Fighters in Al Shabaab, which is on Washington's list of foreign terrorist groups, have vowed to continue their fight to impose a strict version of Islamic law which has traditionally been shunned by more moderate Somalis."In this new era, we have to improve security. We will try to join all the forces available, whether they are insurgents, the current security forces or former military," Ahmed said."What these young militia men believe is not what they were born into. We will try to convince them how valuable it is to be a security officer working for the nation's interest," he said.Al Shabaab fighters captured Somalia's seat of parliament, Baidoa, on Monday, taking advantage of a power vacuum just hours after Ethiopian soldiers withdrew.Ahmed said including opposition parties absent from reconciliation talks in neighbouring Djibouti would be a priority, along with resettling the displaced, rebuilding the capital and restoring health services and education."I believe there is a big hope of creating a government of national unity," he said."There are no major differences between the Somali people. But there are some fishermen in the ocean of politics who want to destroy the image of the good people. We must face them and then stop them before they become obstacles to our efforts." Al-Shabaab, the true champions of the return of Somali pride and dignity.

The only way out of outsider meddling and political independence to the Somali nation is through the Al-shabaab resistance movement. We have been betrayed time after time and to trust again the Elephant in the room is a clossal life time mistake.

Somaliland Elections Could Provide Lessons For Somalia
NASSIR replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
Meanwhile, the recent withdrawal of Ethiopian troops has opened up a new period of uncertainty and risk. In contrast, in the separatist republic of Somaliland, things are heating up toward a presidential election on March 29th. What this hired foreignor fail to notice is how Riyaale, a mere stooge of Ethiopia's sinister program toward Somalia, had his power over the Guurti who gave him the endorsement of one more year of unconstitutional(regional) extension. This region as powerless as it is beyond its tribal domain is nurtured as an instrument of divide and rule in the wider Somali national interest. I don't object to its semi-autonomous status so long the residents realize that with the absence of a unitary government in Mogadisho, we will never be free from the dictates of our Christian Neighbor and its western support. I know most understand this fundamental truth. -

The Discrimination of Minorities in Somali Peninsula
NASSIR replied to MAXIMUS POWERS's topic in General
Originally posted by Qalbi-Adeyg: I don't understand this whole censoring qabil thing, I wonder if I go to a kenyan forum, they'd have the words "turkana, rendile, borana, samburu, kikuye, Jaluo" censored. Unlikely. Very moronic idea by the SOL admin. Why censor qabil names at all? Qabiil is a cancer and should be avoided and censored. However it's normal to discuss in an informational and territorial aspect without attempting to trample on the rights of your fellow Somali. To be Somali is enough therefore the mention of tribal names erodes our national identity as has been and the more we identify with our respective clans than what unites and protects the nation from external harm. The African tribes you listed are of different ethnic background with different language & beliefs. -
The Discrimination of Minorities in Somali Peninsula
NASSIR replied to MAXIMUS POWERS's topic in General
The only minority group in Somalia are those of different ethnic background like Bantu, Baravani, etc. The ******** are ethnic Somali and can't be considered to be an ethnic minority but victims of mythical beliefs and ancient but primitive caste system. In this case, they are political and social minority and according to oral beliefs they were the possessors of a powerful Somali kingdom. After its dissolution by an alliance of other Somali clans, they were subjugated and forced to scatter on every corner. I think this period was in the pre-Islamic era. -

Somali coast guard, saxib you must not let emotions overtake your wisdom. We are a great nation with very long history of overcoming obstacles placed on our way forward. I just have this feeling that we are at a crossroad of uniting behind the principle of Somalinimo that is deeply anchored in our tradition and religion.
