Al-Quran Al Kareem: This app lets you download six different recitation to your phone. No wifi needed then. Comes with quran search option, bookmarking and tafsiir. The search feature can use a little improvement. It failed me couple of times. And dropbox, google; gv. Will do more later insha'alaah.

Worth the money for what it does. So yes, whatsapp beats regular cellphone sms. Tango is just jaajuus and buggy too. The voice quality sucks too, at least with my experience.
