^If you know him personally, I don't. But I gather he's Somali by birth and holds a full Kenyan citizenship by choice. His Somali[ness] is beside the point anyhow. What matters is the agenda and the timing of his trip.
-
Should I care he is half Somali and holds a Somali name or that he is there to advance the agenda of a foreign nation that's currently initiating an aggressive war endangers our sovereignty? Hard to choose? Turn him away!

Som@li: I think that happens because people are tried of years of blood and chaos. They desperately need law and order. Any resemblance of that, they will give a try because they have nothing to lose. This man deceived them big time though. I don't know how he got so many fall for him without being articulate. That makes us naive and well lets not go there with name calling. oba hiloowlow;752409 wrote: Well Hogaamiye kooxeedyada kooxda uu madaxa ka ahaa hawadeey ka saareen,, Ethiopia asiga iyo nuur cadde ayaa fududeeyay ka bixistooda hadanaa Al shabaab ayuu dalka ka saarooyaa inaba caadi maha! It may come as a harsh or unforgiving but marriage is a life long partnership. No such thing as convenience or part time marriage. One needs to study carefully what they're getting into. My intent was not to judge the ex-convict but rather judging the baggage they are bringing into your life. I know it is not fair because they already paid the price and served the time but as others said, the system is unforgiving. Their struggle doesn't end the minute they step out of the gate. Sadly, that's when it starts. They face the biggest struggle outside that could alter their life for the better or worse. And that's what is wrong with the system. They don't get a chance to learn how to lead a normal life. The system is so broken they release them to society only to come back. So it ain't easy to live with someone who is reminded everyday they're convicts and living could be a challenge. They gonna share that with you everyday and sooner or later, it will effect you.

Somalis of all clans, regions and walks of life expected this man to fill the leadership shoes and lead big time. Well mostly did. They put their faith and last effort to drive the message of peace to the Somali populace. They hailed him from the early days of the ICU and some still think he's capable of producing any result. I don't think Somalis of all corners have ever admired and looked up to deliver as they did with him than any other public official in recent history. So far he turns out to be nothing better than a nuisance. Failed us big time. No leadership whatsoever. How did we get so wrong on Mr Mute President?

^So your logic is one has to go away, another foreign entity in this case, has to take over?

Kenya' s Desires to Demarcate Somalia's ' Exclusive Economic Zone'
Jacpher replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Stoic: I think what they are saying in essence is that, Kenya can't commit its troops to march down the streets of Kismaayo or beyond. It is not their best interest, nor do they gain from anything. If that were possible, Ethiopia with the biggest guns in the regions would have managed it. Understand AS is not here to win at all. They will play mouse and cat game, draw Kenyan troops to the villages and hit and run style. Kenya has everything to lose here. But the bigger point to be made here is it is likely it will SOMALIS fighting on both ends of the fences. For that matter, the biggest loser is SOMALIS. -
The Zack;752353 wrote: Kenya' incursion cannot be compared to Ethiopia's occupation. Unless someone has been in deep sleep or totally out of touch, one should know the difference. Today's al shabaab can't be compared to yesterday's ICU. Come one people! Ethiopia was enemy, Kenya is not. Ethiopia "stability" depends on Somalia's destruction, Kenya's is not. Ethiopia invaded the Somali capital, Kenya is not. The emotional reaction of this incursion.need to.stop, people need to react with objectivity, not subjectivity! I opposed the Amxaaro invasion from the get-go and will do the same with the Kenyan invasion. Neither of these countries nor another nation should set a foot in my country. Let me get that out of the way and let me play a little devils advocate here. My friend Zaky, how can you explain opposing Ethiopia which was given the green light and was invited to aid the Somali government at the time to battle with the ICU? I know it was Yeey's government, sponsored and put together by foreign powers but still in paper, Ethiopia was acting on the needs and orders of Somali government, for that matter, in papers, it wasn't a violation of the sovereignty of Somalia. On the other hand, Kenya is clearly breaking/violating our sovereignty and any UN mandate between nations. We know thus far, Somali government said they did not allow or held any talks with Kenyan government to militarily intervene into Somalia. Help me understand how you don't see the war of aggression of Kenya is Somalia as it is? At least the Ethiopian troops had papers backing them, [not that it mattes] but this Kenyan incursion doesn't.

^Stay away from any drug dealing convict at any cost not matter how much they persuade they changed. They can change all they want but the consequences of their crimes [committed or not] is a lifelong struggle. You want to be nice, loving and choose to struggle with them for the rest of your life? That's for you to decide but what you need to know is that the system is not set up to rehabilitate them so they get out, knowing it ain't that bad, free food and shelter in the big house. Some choose not to handle challenges life throws at them, so they return in a short time. Sugarcoat it how much you want but the reality is these people don't get much of a help in there except house them. Prepare yourself correcting/dealing the choice or call it mistakes they made before you met or known them. Plenty of men/women out there than being stuck with someone and paying for their mistake for the rest of your life. Be a little selfish and ask yourself, what is in it for me? It's ok to ask tough questions. Your interest comes before that of another. We make choices everyday, some good, some bad and some make really horrible ones and we all have to pay for them one way or another.

^lol@gafuurada xun. Abtigiis, this is bigger than Kissima awoowe. Now you put the country before the tolka ina adeer. You've left Zaky and his prof. out in the cold. Kenya has come to claim a piece of the pie. -
Abtigiis;751987 wrote: My support for the Kenyan invasion came from deep sense of wanting the end of Alshabab. And to the extent it is about this, I support it; even if this has to be achieved through the formation of a clan entity for that matter. Ironically you and the professor hold the same view. You are not in the heart of Kenya so stop telling us it's doing this out of 'deep sense of wanting' to save Somalia from AS. The same card was used time and again by Meles and the CIA paid warlords in Moqdisho back in the day. Saving Somalia from itself waayadaan awrkaa lagu kacsanayey. I consider Kenya our best second home and I hate it to see it pulled into the nasty mud of Somalia. It should off course work with the Somali government as it does many times but should not intervene militarily. Nothing good can come out of this.

You raised pretty much the same argument the colony used to conquer Africa. Very simplistic view point.

The days of bleeding one another over clan difference is behind us. These days, we are rejoicing and celebrating the joy of clan triumphs and accomplishments. What a great improvement we've made over the last two decades and a milestone for the blue flag.

To insinuate the Sheikh was mute on xaqdarro and he started condemning AS today is misleading. As far back as I can remember, Umal has been speaking against AS iyo fasahaadka ay ka wadaan Soomaaliya. Perhaps, you should listen to his longer muxaadaro on this subject on Halgan dot net. Rumor has it, culumada soomaaliyeed noloshoodaa loo goodiyaa for their stance on AS. Allow ilaali culimada.

^Sxb nuune haa iyo maya. I was not lucky enough inaan cashar live ka qaato sheikha balse over the years, dhowr kutub waan ka dhageystay including tafsiirka. Ilaahey miisaanka xasanaadka ha u saaro cilmiguu na soo gaarsiiyay. Sheikh Umal xafidahulaah brought very persuasive and powerful xikma in this khudba for all of us. Kuwa muslimka gumaadaya in the name of jihaad iyo gaalo la dagaal are not different than kuwii dilay Cali Bin Abidaalib. Kuwa niyadda ka taageersan oo ayidsan gumaadka muslimiinta waxba ma dhaamaan kuwa dhiiga daadinaya walowba ay ka maqan yihiin meesha. The Sheikh spoke directly to the youth meel walba ay joogaan including the youth of SOL, Maadeey, pay close attention to the advice of the Sheikh. A most needed reality check ayuu Sheikha ka hadlay walaahi. Fast forward to:
