Classified;974368 wrote: The Separatist movement in Hargeisa is perhaps supported by the very foreign entities that finances the SFG in Mogadishu. British and EU support the Hargeisa-based Administration called Somaliland. It has been supporting it since the 1990s. I don't think you can compare Somaliland with Jubbaland, an idea that isn't entirely formed nor has the backing of any Western government. SL is better than JL because SL is brought to you by foreign entities since 1990 miyaa argument-gaaga?

No company operating in Muqdisho should spend its hard earned capital on other cities, says this woman. Dahabshiil can't do business in Muqdisho if it wants to build other cities. I guess this woman is blind to the millions of foreign aid flowing to Muqdisho and not Wajaale.

King Fahd, Yaasir Carafaat, Sadaam Hussein, King Hussein of Jordan right next to Siyaad Barre, Alle ha u naxariisto dhamaantood. Who is the man between Sadaam and King Husein? Was this Arab League or something? On top raw [siyaad Barre left shoulder of top raw] looks like a young Mucammar Qadhaafi.

Perhaps Al Shabab will win back the hearts and minds of Somalis if they take the initiative of eliminating the brutal blood-sucking warlords of the last twenty years starting with this one. Too bad AS was never in the business of bettering the country.

Pakistanis might work as slaves but look at what they're sending back.

Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world with over 180 million and you are comparing it to a country with less than ten million. Pakistan has got to feed 18x that of Somalia's population. -
Is your history lesson any better than; I am of the queen, protected by the British colony, and my history lesson is written by British colonial history writers.

Why is Somalia and Djibouti part of the Arab League?

Classified;969529 wrote: Nuune, I want Somalia and Somalis to have self-confidene and to be proud of Somalinimo. Classified: You're mixing two issues. Being part of Arab League ain't about lack of confidence and less Somalinimo. Perhaps, Somalia has all that but decided to go for Arab League membership because of its strategic interest, economical and geopolitical. Not everything is black and white. Nuune: Somali clans being of Arab linage is a fact no one can deny but I don't think that persuaded Somali governments for go for the Arab League membership. Somalis do share Arabs with culture, religion, tradition, language, trade and some clan linage. None of that can be ignored because we ain't geographically in the Middle East. -
Good thing Muqdisho is coming back. I hope other peaceful cities be given the opportunity to see some of these important developments. Places like Baydhabo and Marka need good developments.

nuune;969525 wrote: ^^ Classified, Jacphar is not series in saying that marka ka gudub, what do you want from Somalia anyway? Nuune I just don't get this idea 'we-are-not-arabs-why-in-arab-league'. Somalia is in the Arab League because it chose to for its own interest. After all, most Somali clans say they are of Arab linage. -

^Well. Saudia would be part of Somali League if there were such a thing because, for one, both start with the same letter, for another, both share culture and religion, the only sisterly countries with 100% sunni Muslims on planet earth. -

Somalia is a member of the Arab League because it is in the Arab League. -

Howard University Trayvon Martin, Am I Suspicious?

Welcome to Florida. Imagine if the roles were reversed; a wanna be cop black man gunning down a white man. Post racial America ha iga harto. This was more about Florida's stand your ground law and the right to bear arms and shoot to kill than justice for Trayvon. Trayvon was profiled, stalked and gunned down.

Democracy and the will of the people is all good except when it produces the unwanted result. It happened in Aljeeriya, Falestiin and now Misr. -

Breaking news: Egypt Coup d'état, Morsy overthrown.
Jacpher replied to MoonLight1's topic in Politics
The military knew that 48 hours deadline wasn't enough and Morsi was to fail. They certainly chose their side. Now all eyes on the next move of the brotherhood. Something is telling me this military coup isn't going to be the last one.
