^It'll be Clinton before another Bush come back. It was Romney's big dream from his father to become the POTUS one day. He has been trying for the last sixteen years and this is the closest he's gotten. You know there ain't gonna be another chance for him to run. Maybe one or two of his sixteen boys try.

^Who can even argue [against] that. Black people can't #%# with time machine.

I don't attend much of them and if I do you won't see me in the dance floor. I just eat the food and congratulate the couple. As for the guys who think it is not fun to take a wife to a wedding then kuwaas khyr ma leh qaraabasho mesha u tageen. And the word qaraabasho only has negative connotation No there's nothing wrong with going to aroos. I wasn't even thinking about diin side of it. And yes I get invited but I don't remember last time I went to one but waan ka cudur daartaa. I see no reason for it when Meher, two witnesses and jalamad shaah will perfectly do it. All that is going to be spent on roos, let her keep it or spoil it on her, her choice. No point in aroos if you really think about it.

Aaliya: I don't go to aroos because I don't believe in them but that's a different story. The word 'qaraabasho' hints someone doing something very wrong. I don't know what guys go there for but I bet most guys don't see the fun in taking wife to aroos.

^Would you take your husband to aroos? Exactly. Thanak you veero armaajo.

^Did you say his wife? What?

You gotta let him have. He's compensating if you know what I mean.

^Hadde gabadh Khaatumo ah u raadi ha ku soo galee.

By popularity, Farmaajo is electable in the streets. By leadership, he is a failure. And as a public figure, he isn't above criticism. That speech at the parliament was painful to watch.

Blackflash;874210 wrote: Yes, but slaves in the Arab peninsula before Islam were predominantly middle eastern. Since a free Muslim cannot be enslaved , even as spoils of war, slave traders had to look further outside their domain as more populations converted. Tell that to the millions of Muslim black Arabs in ME who are still looked down for being descendants of slaves

I highly doubt but if this is true, President needs to be bold enough to tell that mad man, Faroole the truth, PL is not entitled to the premiership. Any qualified candidate to do the best possible job should compete for the job, minus Puntlanders, thanks to Gaas/Faroole aggressive campaigning style. Than again, I hope the president won't disappoint by picking a popular candidate like Farmaajo who would be too weak to advance the country. -
Blackflash;874196 wrote: I think I'm being misunderstood here. I'm not linking the slave trade to Islam directly, just stating that Islam linked Somalis and other coastal Africans to their arab counterparts , and it was this relationship that was then used for the expansion of the slave trade. Again the problem with that statement is that African slavery predates Islam and Somalia, as others pointed out. But somehow you want to convince us slavery existed in the palm of Islam/Arab/Somalis. I guess Arabs brought Islam to Indonesia, the largest Muslim majority country through slavery.

^I think what she meant is that if the parents aren't in their best, kids can't be expected to turn out better or held to higher standard than their parents. We do know little children imitate what's around them and if they grow up seeing the head figure, for example, chew or smoke, you can't expect the kids to not learn those bad habits. But it happens the other way as you said, good parents can sometimes end up with not so good kids.

Treat others as you wish to be treated, as the old saying goes.

^What's your role in this discussion? A defense lawyer You haven't shared your take on the topic except accuse MMA of using some type of power which you fail to explain or accuse me of discrediting him. I re-stated what he edited out from his post, those were not my words, his words and I think he can defend his words on his own. Why don't you have an opinion? Do you agree or not agree? I made my argument. Your argument so far seems to be a mere foul cry, don't ask my fellow atheist hard questions.

^You had to edit that out. No need for that now. I'm sure that's going to be another slip up.
