  1. ^Really you think so? This analysis ain't no different than someone in Moqdisho writing a piece arguing the Somali business man that killed his worker couldn't pay him. He couldn't afford to go hungry by paying a large salary out to a worker. You see his hunger for food and the need to feed his family made him act that way. If this is not the case, why he didn't kill other Zambians? What the writer is doing is sugar coating the real crime here. He sounds apologetic to the mob justice and doesn't want to see it for what it is; criminal enterprise. If Zambians were driven by hunger for food as he is making the case, they wouldn't be burning Somali cars and stealing mattresses and household items in the residents of Somalis. He's laying the blame on the government and the Somali businesses for being successful, neither of which have done anything wrong.

Is it not safe to suggest we followed these men to the gates of hell either because they did it through the barrel of the gun or no alternatives existed back then. If you were given sermons everyday that so and so were out to get you and the only opportunity to protect yourself was to pre-emptively fight your deemed enemy, you didn't have a choice but go along with the message played for you. And you didn't have any means to challenge whatever leadership tolka had in place. This is true for many that fought for these men. I like to think we learned lessons and out grown of that ignorance. I think in today's context, tolka can lead the good fight to change the path and the masses respond better to tolka. It can be a great tool to get there.
  3. ^ His tol is not included in that twisted logic. They are the exception here. Wax fahan.
  4. ^You couldn't have come up with any worst example

You don't have to look for a middle ground in every story - even where there is no such thing as this one - just to look sober and intellectually profound. Political correctness disgusts me and is soon going to be added to the catagory of harmful traditional practices like FGM. People are increasingly getting fed up of hypocratical zingers that no one actually believes in. Only a hardcore clannist like you would interject a clannish point of view to distract and call the victims of this brutal attack 'lucky' for sustaining injury by machete yielding savages who are morally bankrupt to distinguish between innocent from the guilt.
  6. Tolka can be a positive force but lacks genuine leadership. Ratiga tolka waxaa hogaanka u hayya rag calooshood u shaqeystayaal ah. Imagine genuine leaders echoing positive change while using their own tol to advance the country. Warlords use tolka to do their dirty work. Why shouldn't good people use for the betterment of the country?

We Somalis have a lot of blood on our hands, don't forget that brother Yeah we'd be baboons if we were doing all that you listed in their backyard, Ndola. Somalis are being victimized there for one thing only, for being Somali. And that's baboonish waryaa.
  8. Abtigiis;899557 wrote: The title should have read BARBARIC SOMALI MAN MURDERS EMPLOYEE AFTER FAILING TO PAY SALARY The Zambians reaction is entirely understandable. The somalis are lucky none of them is dead. Somalis are notorious for not honouring committments when it comes to paying employees or others who trusted them. I have seen many maids complian about this. And the Somali killer is not mad. Sheekadii Puntlanders ka ee "war ina libaax sanka taabaaa la yidhaa iimaan laawaha. 13 hore ayuu dilay, iskaga carar meesha yuuna 14 kaaga dhigine" that used to be used to deny long-foot qat merchants should not be exoprted to Zambia and other lands. If he is mad, why didn't the community detain him if they knew he is dangerous as the woman in the video claims?? I visited Zambia in 2009 and the Somalis were living dangerously with a lot of businesses in Chaisa slum. It was a ticking bomb. I understand the riots happened in Ndola but expect Chaisa to ignite anytime. Rest in peace poor proletariat Kabasso. Your death pains us. What a baboonish line of thought there you display.
  9. Every institution in the world has some outside interest and influence so I don't mind tolka getting a little cut as long as the country gets its fair share of the pie. However these appointed officials usually want to pocket the whole cake for their own personal gain under the disguise of tolka. I bet tolka is oblivious most of the time and it doesn't get any share while its name is evoked for all kinds of things.
  10. Somali philosopher;899551 wrote: you call them baboons adoons and you expect them to be nice to you? If I were to call someone baboon, I wouldn't expect them to be nice because baboons aren't capable of being nice. Baboons belong to the zoo, away from society that's speaking of actual baboons. And no you don't have to be nice but you must obey the law. Laws are made to protect the people, not to be nice or friendly.
  11. ^Somalis are in conflict with each other because of resources and old wounds but I don't think they are xenophobic to foreigners. I think they have a soft spot for foreigners especially those live under their roof. I said African baboons because of their savagery act was baboonish.
  12. ^Put himself out of work on behalf of tolka. So his oath of office was for tolka, not for the country? Glad he's no longer there. Disappointed at those appointing the likes of this man that want to serve their tol more than the country.
  13. There were over a dozen Yemeni and Indian shops in the neighborhoods not far from where I grew up and I don't ever remember seeing Somalia rampaging their properties because they happened to be foreigners. As a matter fact, a small number of foreigners still live in the country amid the war and they rarely get targeted for being foreign nationals. These people are morally bankrupt. The Somali woman in the clip is saying she warned the worker not to approach the business man because he was on drugs. At least she tried her best to save his life. What do they do; target her and loot her properties instead. Che: I didn't get your point. I wasn't saying I am no African. I can't imagine Hargeysa or Boosaaso having people looting the properties of foreign nationals because one them committed a crime and police arrested. I couldn't image this happening in different cities throughout the country.
  14. ^Those are old dances waryaa. Here's the new Sufi dances. Someone needs to update them of the new dance.
  15. ^What respect are you talking about? The poor Somalis running for their lives asked for this?
  16. I got this email this afternoon and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Apparently a Somali business owner kills an employee of his over salary dispute, the whole country goes out to hunt down any Somali and loot their businesses. People are running for their lives and losing their properties because some Somali guy on drugs who is in custody by the way, killed an innocent man. The army had to come in and move Somalis out into camps to rescue them. South Africa, Kenya and now Zambia? These African baboons must live in a different civilization. I pray my good friend out there makes it out safely insha'alaah. One of the video is very graphic.
  17. Che, I was discussing the shooting in Oregon the other day with someone at work and that's what they said, guns don't kill people. Cadaanka in bible states believe if they don't own guns, they aren't real American and they don't get to go to heaven. Liberals are too elite to go for shooting practice or carry guns. One of them said cars kill more. Should we ban them then?
  18. Colorado, Maryland, Oregon, Connecticut, what do these states have? Liberal elites? Che why you don't see this happening in down South where guns are as holy as the bible and everyone owns one. You see guns don't kill. People do. Liberals just want to take away your guns. Rush would say something similar to this next few days.
  19. How many of these tragedies will it take for the both parties to get serious about gun violence. NRA is too big to be confronted and the Republicorp don't want. Dems are too weak to take away any guns. More guns on the street under Obama than Bush.
  20. ^Sxb if you said, as a Kenyan you oppose Somalis having start up conversation about khat and the millions of dollars we lose to this green grass each year, perhaps this argument would've been better understood. I can understand our neighbors opposing this because it is economical for them to lose this thriving industry. But the average Somali needs to get a better understanding and awareness about khat before any war policy is thought of. Relax Mr. Sijuwi, no war is waged here. Just a conversation, an important one. And yes Somali government has the sole right and responsibility to ban khat and make it illegal regardless whether Japan or China failed its own war against Khat.
  21. ^I wasn't. I was showing him the absurdity of his argument. As far as breaking the laws goes, exposing yourself in the street will land you in jail no matter how adult you are. Laws are in place for a purpose and reason, unlike someone here.
  22. ^Go down to the park in your birthday suit and shoot any illegal drug up in your arm/nose and tell me if anyone has right to interfere in your life.
  23. ^No one is advocating to start a war on khat. Far from it. Did you ask yourself if Somalia is at a position to start a war? War wuxu ma dhukan yahay horta. The man in the clip is jump starting the conversation about khat consumption and encouraging people who sell khat to start thinking about the damages it brings to families. It is an editorial piece, not a government official or war policy.
  24. There's something fishy about this sermon by Tarsan. By the way, when is this guy gonna remove his mayorship isbaaro and let others run the city?
  25. ^Chewing tobacco once a week is your solution? Wah Khaat is a serious problem and I'm glad to see someone paying a good attention to its dangers to people.
