Great idea. He's gonna turn this boring section into Photoshop tutorial. Good job Lee. Mabruuk Con. Time to show off your geeky colors. -
I'm continually surprised by the attention given to this lady. I've have read everything she has to say and I found her lacking in almost everything - be it knowledge of the religion, integrity, intelligence or even simple common sense. There is no sense in flogging a dead horse. Val, could not agree with you more. I think she has a large audience with receptive ears and she is using Muslim women issue to further her publicity. What has she done for Muslim women besides insulting their sacred scriptures? JB, I don't think Ayan knows much about Atheism. Leave the Muslim women issues to our qualified sisters and educate her on the typologies of atheism and the immorality of advocating for something you actually don't favor.

Xoogsade, Thanks. I've listened to that clip a gazillian times and it appears he's saying something but it's not clear for me as the anchorwoman is talking at the same time. I think it's funny how he yells out "yaa walad" as if he's calling his son. What's wrong with SOL? Has the first page deleted. I don't see it.

Ethiopia PM: no confirmed Somalia al Qaeda dead-FT LONDON, Feb 5 (Reuters) - There has been no confirmation so far of any targeted al Qaeda suspects being killed in Somalia, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi told the Financial Times in an interview published on Monday. Ethiopia is working closely with the United States to identify Islamist fighters killed in neighbouring Somalia in recent clashes, including U.S. air strikes, Meles said. "We do not have definite information on a number of the key al Qaeda targets. There are reports that one or two of them might have died but we have no confirmation," he told the FT. Bloodied papers belonging to Aden Hashi Farah Ayro, head of an Islamist militia, had been found, but reported sightings of him suggest he may have survived, Meles was quoted by the newspaper as saying. In addition, hardline Islamist leader Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys and Sheikh Hassan Turki are "alive and moving in and out of Kenya on the border," he added. Ethiopian troops and Somali interim government forces launched an offensive in late December that routed the Somali Islamists who had controlled most of south Somalia since June. On Jan 24, U.S. officials said the United States had carried out a second air strike in Somalia. Two weeks earlier an AC-130 plane killed what Washington said were eight al Qaeda-affiliated fighters hiding among Islamist remnants pushed to Somalia's southern tip by Ethiopian and Somali government forces. Is 'yaa walad' that demeaning to Arabs? I can't make out of what he said in Somali. I laughted at 'anta calal hawa' and him yelling out yaa walad.

lol@Kastar man. You're pushing it. I'm sure Jenerale disagrees with you politically but I highly doubt he's grateful for the death of his fellow Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia. I'm grateful for all Allah has bestowed on me. Alxamdulilaah.

Somalia: American Soldiers Seized in Southern Region, Arab And Western Diplomats Say Aweys Osman Yusuf Mogadishu There have been mounting reports that numbers of American soldiers were missing in southern Somalia following the recent US air operations on the Islamist and al-Qaeda hideouts in southern jungles of the country, Al Sharq, an Arabic newspaper based in Qatar reported on Friday. The paper also reported that Kenyan police have seized armed Asians crossing from Somalia into the Kenyan border. The Kenyan police believe the foreigners were fighting alongside with Somalia's defeated Islamists. According to the paper, Arab diplomats, who asked for anonymity, confirmed that an unspecified number of US foot soldiers was seized in southern Somalia where Islamists are believed to be hiding after their loss of the capital Mogadishu to the UN and internationally-backed transitional government of Somalia and the Ethiopian troops in the country. Western diplomats, who have not been named, also affirmed that US soldiers were missing in southern Somalia, Al Sharq reported. It added that Michael Ranneberger, the US ambassador to Kenya, who met with Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, the defeated Islamist leader under Kenyan custody, has asked Ahmed to explain where the missing Americans are lingering. Ranneburger has reportedly made the efforts to convince Ahmed to go back to Somalia and take part in a unity government election, which, he said would be held in Somalia next year. He said Sharif could achieve a high government post in the upcoming government election. Meanwhile Kenyan police, who asked to remain anonymous, have confirmed to Al-Sharq that they caught two foreign fighters armed AK47s between the Kenyan and Somalia border. The date of the capture was not specified, however. Kenyan security forces are stationed at the Kenyan border along with Somalia to clutch the escaping Islamists and al-Qaeda operatives given a safe haven in Somalia by the Islamic Courts Union. US ambassador Ranneburger, who spoke to Shabelle on 20 January, said the Islamists were harboring al-Qaeda operatives who were exerting control of the Islamic Courts. Islamists always denied they had al-Qaeda operatives in their Islamic party while in control of the strife-torn country. According to Kenyan Times, Kenyan authorities have arrested five people, including a U.S. citizen and a French citizen suspected to be fighters for Somalia's outdone Islamist movement, on Friday.
