^Ain't Burco a Somali city open to all Somalis alike regardless of clan or political affiliation? Obsession with Duke?

Is it down? All I'm getting is Adversiting links. This RSS Feed was a good addition to SOL and one-stop for Somali News. Is it working or currently out of service?

Grown men crying. Stop it. Stop suggesting Abwaan is high on alcohol. As Fahiye said, nothing is wrong with speaking against the gangs holding the historic city hostage.

A/Y In a Serious Condition at a Hospital in Nairobi

Comments here celebrating such a sad event are contemptable, but predictable. It ain't so much about celebration ina-eedo. It's wishing odaga a good farewell and less innocent blood on his shoulders. I was told a nomad sent his relatives and neighbors a shopping spree upon the news of the death of warlord Caydiid. I doubt if JB has similar celebration plans. -
Somaliland is one of the progressive nations in Africa, with strong democratic institutions and a free press. Somaliland is often referred to as " Africa’s best kept secret". There have been strong developments in the Swedish/Somaliland relationship, with Sweden currently exploring the options of providing aid to Somaliland directly, rather than through other organizations such as the EU or Non-governmental organizations. A/Y In a Serious Condition at a Hospital in Nairobi

^Riyaale. Somali leader rushed to hospital Somalia's interim President Abdullahi Yusuf has been taken to hospital in the Kenyan capital, the BBC has learnt. His condition is said to be "serious" but there are no further details. He had a liver transplant in the 1990s. He was named president in 2004 after protracted peace talks in Kenya but has not been able to end years of conflict. Mr Yusuf's Ethiopia-backed government is battling Islamist insurgents and the UN says that more than one million people are homeless in Somalia. He is to be flown to London for treatment and has cancelled a meeting on Wednesday with regional leaders. The news comes as four ministers resigned from the cabinet named by Mr Yusuf's newly appointed Prime Minister Nur Hussein Hassan. The ministers complained that their Rahanwein clan was under-represented in the government. Mr Yusuf, 73, had been due to travel to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa for Wednesday's meeting between regional leaders and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He is a northerner, from Puntland, and a member of the ***** clan who had been an army commander during Siad Barre's rule and subsequently a guerrilla leader. President Yusuf controversially enlisted the help of the Ethiopian army to oust the Union of Islamic Courts from the capital, Mogadishu in December 2006. The past year has seen increasing levels of violence as the Islamists battle the Ethiopian-backed government, rendering Mogadishu too unsafe for the government which has been forced to operate out of Baidoa. Somalia has not had a functioning national government since 1991. Source -
JB, I fail to see the lack of knowledge you arguing about Jidbaale but Photoshop can be utilized for web designing.

^What's the matter? Jidbaale is more informative than Somaliland.com I'm glad you are diversifying your source of information.

^Don't be cynical now Sheh-dhuubaneey. The only negative one in the list is that Alla hoogayeey maxaa saas kuu galay, a fake sympathy at its best.

Kudos SheikhaJacaylka for remaining true to your [elected official] leaders and clansmen. Most of people like to distance the heinous and evil characteristics of their leaders while holding others to a different higher standard.

Ghanima You've a valid point. The Muslim communities have learned their lessons the hard way not to go to that extent for freedom of speech. Just like many non-Muslim minorities don't have the privilege of freedom of religion in Muslim countries. A Muslim would get just about enough attention raising few legitimate questions about the Holocaust or its historical accuracy. I think the Sudanese government's argument is the intention of the schoolteacher to deliberately insulting prophet Mohamed [scw] which can hardly be proven. The burden of prove is on them. I think if the teacher's intention was as alleged, she'd have probably done in other avenues, not in the classroom. Leave it for the school officials. The Sudan government has a bigger rat to catch. Save Darfur from those nomadic janjaweed militia.

^You've got the biggest cilmaani in your backyard. Enough with the double-talk. SPIEGEL ONLINE: But this isn't just about the Ethiopians. You're also fighting against the army of the legitimate Somali government. Sheik Sharif: The so-called legal government is a farce. There were no free elections worth speaking off. They're keeping us out of a true national dialogue -- which we've always called for -- with the slimmest of arguments. Critics of the government find themselves in jail without trial or simply disappear without a trace, just because they condemn military collaboration with that very part of Ethiopia which has been oppressing millions of Somalis for decades. What do you have to say about the bold sentence Caamiroow?
