^You're asking what you know of? There are elements of qabiil in almost every aspect of the culture. From settling disputes to counseling troubled marriages, to selecting elders and officials. From livestock branding to food selection, to our political affiliation and outlook of world views. Our culture is enriched with qabiil elements. The conflict is not that of qabiil per se. It's Somalis who misuse qabiil and employ qabyaalad tactical for their own evil calool u shaqeysi. The average Mohamed of clan X doesn't perceive his counterpart of clan Y or Z as a threat. This is mostly true in cities throughout the country, specially the metropolitan ones Moqdisho, Hargeysa etc.

JB got his shaah and a few more dollars to sell it. Just kidding. No offense intended. Really. What's up with the timing? Is Addis involved in this proposal in anyway shape or form?

The Huffington Post Pregnant Man? Find Out How It Happened To our neighbors, my wife, Nancy, and I don't appear in the least unusual. To those in the quiet Oregon community where we live, we are viewed just as we are -- a happy couple deeply in love. Our desire to work hard, buy our first home, and start a family was nothing out of the ordinary. That is, until we decided that I would carry our child. I am transgender, legally male, and legally married to Nancy... Our situation sparks legal, political, and social unknowns. We have only begun experiencing opposition from people who are upset by our situation. Doctors have discriminated against us, turning us away due to their religious beliefs. Health care professionals have refused to call me by a male pronoun or recognize Nancy as my wife. Receptionists have laughed at us. Friends and family have been unsupportive; most of Nancy's family doesn't even know I'm transgender... We are proud to announce that this pregnancy is free of complications and our baby girl has a clean bill of health. We are happily awaiting her birth, with an estimated due date of July 3, 2008. Just so you don't get confused, Thomas was Tanya before she met Nancy and decided to become a he. What am I saying here. How do you say transgender in Somali? Mushakal? Wait....that's Carabi. ps. I don't want anyone going Max'ed Dheere on me. That's why I have vomit up there. Just vomit instead. That way it only involves you alone. Feel free to use this tip at your own risk.

^C'mon. My views can't be that terrible. JB: Enlighten me how PL came to existance out of bug.

If that's all you convict him of, then you don't have a very strong case. Unfortunately, qabiil & qabyaalada is at the core of Somali culture, tradition, history and literature. Qabiil and qabyaalad flows into the bloodstream of our body and mind. Kind of like the way Shaydaan flows into the bloodstream of humans body. I don't think there has ever been a single abwaan who has not spoken of the issue or devoted gabay to the ill effects of our society. There's no way one can tackle Somali culture or literature without that touchy subject. Bacadle is a true Abwaan in every sense of the word. One or two gabayo does not diminish his talent and contribution to society. I recently received a collection book of his gabayo. I could not put it down for hours.

As the old saying goes, the pot calling the kettle black. SL is not so godly and free of bug itself. I don't understand the logic of pointing fingers at others and accusing them of the something you're guilty of. Isn't that called hypocrisy? I don't quite get your reasoning.

I don't wish to go into old unproductive argument but the fact remains neither SL nor PL has any legitimacy over one another of land ownership. Mecca can't claim what's of Medina and vice versa. At the end of the day, Soomaaliya Soomaali baa leh regardless of clan, movement or political affiliation. History shows both entities started as clan movements and magically formed into political movements. A single clan can inhabit a sizable area of the country predominately but ownership remains to shacbu Soomaali in large.

JB: Get over your resentment. He's well liked & respected abwaan Soomaaliyeed.

Bugland claim parts of our land sxb ,,,, plus they are our neighbors so anything happens can affect us. Adinkoo ah? Jabhada SNM?

^Ain't PL part of Somalia? What's up with the sudden interest in anything PL related and you guys these days? Nothing exciting in your inner circles?
-
^Why is that? MMA: Bacadle is a legend. I think he's in Moqdisho. I hope he's healthy and doing well.
-
Truth does hurt as they say it but I think Somalis have lived in a veil far too long. Reality check in place. History is repeating right before our eyes.
-
^I thought SL was immune from qabiil politicking.

Dhakhtar waqooyi waa ....

This was 1977. Fast forward thirty years to 2008. We're in the same spot we were over quarter a century ago. Amxaaro flag flying over Moqdisho skylines and on the desks of SL & PL head of states. Rag waa kii hore.

The Huffington Post Barack Obama and Brad Pitt Are Cousins, Hillary Clinton and Angelina Jolie Are Also Cousins, Study Says BOSTON — This could make for one odd family reunion: Barack Obama is a distant cousin of actor Brad Pitt, and Hillary Rodham Clinton is related to Pitt's girlfriend, Angelina Jolie. Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society found some remarkable family connections for the three presidential candidates _ Democratic rivals Obama and Clinton, and Republican John McCain. Clinton, who is of French-Canadian descent on her mother's side, is also a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette. Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six U.S. presidents, including George W. Bush, his cousins. McCain is a sixth cousin of first lady Laura Bush. "You'd think with all that singing talent in the family she'd be able to carry a tune," Clinton's senior adviser Philippe Reines said. "But now it makes much more sense how she snagged a Grammy." Clinton won for best spoken word Grammy in 1997 for "It Takes a Village." Obama also won a Grammy in that category this year for the audio version of his book, "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream." Genealogist Christopher Child said that while the candidates often focus on pointing out differences between them, their ancestry shows they are more alike than they think. "It shows that lots of different people can be related, people you wouldn't necessarily expect," Child said. Obama has a prolific presidential lineage that features Democrats and Republicans. His distant cousins include President George W. Bush and his father, George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson, Harry S. Truman and James Madison. Other Obama cousins include Vice President Dick Cheney, British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and Civil War General Robert E. Lee. Obama often jokes about his cousin Cheney at campaign appearances. "His kinships are across the political spectrum," Child said. Child has spent the last three years tracing the candidates' genealogy, along with senior research scholar Gary Boyd Roberts, author of the 1989 book, "Ancestors of American Presidents." Clinton's distant cousins include beatnik author Jack Kerouac and Camilla Parker-Bowles, wife of Prince Charles of England. McCain's ancestry was more difficult to trace because records on his relatives were not as complete as records for the families of Obama and Clinton, Child said. Obama and President Bush are 10th cousins, once removed, linked by Samuel Hinkley of Cape Cod, who died in 1662. Pitt and Obama are ninth cousins, linked by Edwin Hickman, who died in Virginia in 1769. Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, declined to comment on the senator's ancestry. Clinton and Jolie are ninth cousins, twice removed, both related to Jean Cusson who died in St. Sulpice, Quebec, in 1718. The New England Historic Genealogical Society, founded in 1845, is the oldest and largest nonprofit genealogical organization in the country.

Desperate Marc dedicating a whole thread to few individuals he dislikes? Marc, why evil? Why not wrong, misguided, bad or bossy? I don't think it's smart idea to refer others with difference of opinion as evil. They may have disappointed you by not meeting your personal expectation or standard but it doesn't mean they are wicked. Admin should close down this page. No page should be initiated just to offend others. Bullying behavior should not be tolerated. We don't need a teenager ending his life due to online bullying. BTW, Isn't this against the rules of the site?

^Only in your dreams that Cadde will get re-elected. What do you mean by foreigners? Are you speaking of the presidential candidates? Ciisoow: It's unfortunate in this time and age, in meesha ay noqoto sida masqul. Basically take a dump at people's face or drop a bomb. As much as I deplore Yeey's policies in PL, mostly the place was stable.

Mayhaps it is because you now accept the reality on the ground, but for whatever reason let us hope with the change of location, came a real change of personality. I thought you got over that Jubbaland dream. Timirtii horaa dab loo waayey ma maqashay? Hadaad raganimo sheegatay, I challenge you to repudiate and disown the evil warlordka aad af-hayeenka uga tahay halkan.

^ lol@closet qabilist. Ari boowe jeedaali. Isseh: I don't understand all these 'laws' being introduced as Cadde's term is nearing its end. PL is better off in badda lagu daro hadey saan ku sii socoto.
