Bishaaro, Puntland soldiers are to keep their arms since they fall under a local government that is indepedent from the federal body when it comes to their affairs Plus there is peace over there. Remember, federal jurisdiction applies only where reer Muqdisho are concerned because they have no functioning local authority. Even when some tribal leaders and warlords came together and made the pledge of forming Banadir government, they were rebuffed. Not that I have confidence in those men, but at least their pledge meant a good step forward without waiting for a federal government to clean house for them. The same people you are talking to in here felt threatened by such pledge of peace. They suggested antagonism was the aim because their government might have some hardles thrown in its way with their obsession of ethiopian troops being part of whoever is coming. I was told Abdullahi Yusuf commented few occassions to Puntlanders that they will be part of the troops disarming People in Xamar. Meeshaaseey wax ka cagacageynaayaan. But people/others took note with their own interpretation of that and are waiting, or so is the talk of Town/Xamar. In a way, Somalis live in extremely different worlds not knowing about each other, with Each group blowing their own trumpet. Dadaa xataa wexey isku sasabaan waxaan caqliga ka dhaadhici karin as if wishful thinking will give them what they like to see happen. No one cares or listens to what the other is saying. Laakiin, Wixii jiraba cakaaruhu imanaa sida la dhihi jirey ee aan aragno meeshey wax ku dambeeyaan.

Bro Qorsheel, runtaa waaye, sida badan dadka wey ka shakinaayaan daacadnimadaada haddaa qolo kale ka dhalatey oo aa wax ka sheegtid arrin dadka dhan wada quseyso. Si goonniyaa laga yaabaa in laguu eego. I may have been guilty myself of doubting other people's honesty and care. Anyway bro, it bothers me when I sometimes think, if tomorrow nothing goes right and everything goes wrong again, that I gave the impression I was against our common interests as somalis when my intensions are not to be antagonistic to something good. Dadka qaarkiisaa iska hadlo oo reer hebel iska dul saaran. They assume the worst and accuse others of evil intensions when there may be a legitimate concern others expressed for whatever reason. Why not give the benefit of the doubt is what I am thinking. Magaalada Xamarna Qof lagama xigo. You might or might not know, there are many people in Xamar who hail from different regions of Somalia and are not related to the locals. Beneath the surface, Soomaalida waxba kuma kala maqno. Dhib ween ma jiro saaxib, haddu jirana maamul la'aanta xamar lee waaye. Iyadana waa loo talinaa. Abdullaahi Yusuf teleefoon u dira adiga iyo Duke lol, Xamar imoow dhaha meelahaa wareegeysid dan kuma jirtee. I would be most happy if he goes there. He gave the impression that he can't come to Xamar without escort from Ethiopia. That fuels and gives credence to other people's thoughts about him. So shekada wexey noqotey, Amxaaruu noo soo wataa. Wax kale oo aa dadka ka dhaadhicin kartidna ma lahan saaxiib. marka waxaa fiicnaan leheed, somehow intuu yaasiinka soo Aqristo waaba hadduu quraanka aqrin yaqaannee, inuu isa soo biimeeyo lool. Btw, siinta guryaha imaasho la imaado magaaladaa ka horeeso maahinoo? Geesinimadaa ku imaan leheed yeelo nooh marka hore, ka bacdi waxaaga gacantaa lagaa saaraa. hadii kale, magaalada bahalo galeen waayee, iska illoow doqoshkaa xaafadda hodan ama cabdicasiis ku leheedeen. Ama mukulaalahaa ku nool, ama waa la dul dhistey, ama waraaqaa loo sameystey hehehehe. Adaa cirka roob ku'og.

Qorshel, lol lool, haye, waxaa og tahaaba iska yar. Saxib, hadalkaas waxaa ugu dan lahaa kan kor wax ku qorey, Aw-ilko-firaanfir lol. Inuu cariish xataa magaalada kuleheenaa laga yaabaa laakiin uu iska camiranaayo LOL. Btw, anigabo waa kaa istaahilaa inaa dhibkeyga ila qeybsato. Hadalkeygaa kistoo kulul miyaa? Saxib, guryahaaga lagaama inkiraayo. Adaa iska leh. Nowadays people go to Xamar and claim their property if they have some connections over there. It is easier than it used to be. My neighbour from Garowe originally has done it. I was even pleasantly surprised when I was told. Dowladaanna waa noo hagaageesaaye waxba muranka ha u qaadan wax ween. Meeshaan dadka fikradooda qaldan tahay lee la saxooyaa. PS: Arrimo badanaan qorey ka bacdina waan tirtirey. Too much info LOOL. Take Care bro.

Waryaada, Amxaaro maka casunno Xamar cadeey inta kale laakiin waa lasoo dhaweenaa haddey imaanaayaan. Amxaarada waa bias iyo xumaan ka talis, saasaa lagu diidey. They can't be trusted. They have shown their willingness to render any Somali effort useless and unworkable in the past simply because their frontmen had no chance. Now that they are winners by proxy, the reward for them is set to be to let them march to mogadishu under the guise of peacekeeping troops. How dreadful that is runtii. What peace have they ever given to the Somalis who live under their jurisdiction? We are not interested and they are not welcome. Idinkana iyagaa ku heesataan mexey u diidan yihiin Amxaaro, Anigana waxaan ka baqaayaa ineyba oggolaadaan, taas ka waramahee? I tell you, On one end, there is this disappointing track record of Mogadishu tribal leaders and their past inefficiency to go beyond personal aggrandizing and asurpation of rights, and on the other, the dispicable scenario of a foreign troop marching in Town and disarming Somalis when they couldn't do it themselves. Reading the history of foreign troop deployments in many countries will serve you better as well. All they do is get entangled in the local politics due to sectarian and devisions that pre-date their deployment. And there, you may have the incendiary, another war is raging before you know it. Do you honestly think with the possible competiton between groups and demagoguery of some, it will be smooth operation in Xamar even if troops from Amxaaro are welcomed with open arms? One thing is true, Muqdisho had been a disappointing place in the sense that it set back and held hostage any progress on the national front, however, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope they expediate this time the shedding-off of the cloak of degradation and do something worthy other than dispute among themselves and whine about others. Idinkana, waa la doogaayaaye, waxba ha dacaroonina. You will get your house if you can prove you had a house to begin with in the Town lol.

Before we see the showdown over that issue, I hope these men follow up their promises with implementation and set the course to a much brighter future for those concerned. Then they should stick to their guns by rejecting front-line states. Surely, if the opposition of the front-line states have the support of the locals, and they are legally in the government, they will win. The government will be forced to negotiate. They(these opposition groups) need to prove they are men of their words and can do what they said they will in their last handshake. Reactionary or fear, whatever the motivations, sublime are their proposals and the steps they said they will take to give their communities the much needed security. And nothing makes or equates rejecting front-line state troops antagonism. If the supporters of such measures can prove the need to include Ethiopian troops in the deployment, there will be no argument. If they can't prove the need, and they will hold the onward march of the process hostage for the inclusion of their beloved sponsor, I am sure they will be solely responsible for the dissolution of parliament and government altogether. Letting Ethiopia be the maker or the breaker of our future will be an unforgivable crime. Let those supporters in the parliament, the president, the prime minister bear the sole responsibility of any negative outcome over the dispute of the front-line states.

Good for them. They have waited long enough and denied their families/friends/dependents the chance of living in a permanent peace. They are in the best position to come out of this dignified if they make their promises true. I think the best thing about their efforts if it bears fruit is to have an edge over the dispute of troops. When you are screwed up and devided, nobody takes you serious. But when you have the proof of your independence and humanity, others will have no reason to meddle with your life. May they succeed this time so "us" who are stuck in these depressing lifestyles can go home and make our contributions.

Bishaaro, yea, that is a nice movie. Mystic river & Cold Mountain are good movies as well.
-
Action Movies I watched and somewhat liked: - Hero(Captivating for its scenery of nature, the story, the sacrifice) - So close(Made in hong Kong, Efficient female contract killers, highly technical movie as well). - I-Robot (a guy movie or so I think) - Equilibrium (slow start but picks up pace, very nice story line with Matrix-like action). - Bundok Saints. - Dare devil. - The Punisher. - Brothers of the wolf. - The last man standing(another guy movie). - Blade I&II Other Movies I liked include: - Legends of the fall(tells you how some can never forget about whom they love no matter how long apart or status change, that some people also would keep loving someone so blindly no matter the obvious disadvantage in such blind love, A matter of intrigue always for me, Tristan is my Favorite, the idea of saddling my horse like him every six months, not looking back and be on my way..very..appealing). - Gattaca(science fiction) - Hanibal - Usual Suspects - Ocean Eleven - The italian Job? hope that was the name. - Born Identity(the book is much better) Oh well, I don't remember too many of what I saw but saw too many movies.

Che, have you checked "the motorcycle diaries"? About Xamar, Waa runtaa. I think we could use some authority there. But life isn't too terrible as some here make of it. At least I don't get inundated with how life is terrible over there when I call mom. It is not perfect I tell ya, but livable at least to those who have made it their home.

Critica, I am neither misinformed about Xamar nor drawning in a see of negative tribalism. My parents live there and I call the town regularly, know what is going on more than someone who has no relatives or haven't been there other than what he reads about the town knows. As for negative tribalism, Should a son be harbouring ill-feelings for his mother's tribe? It is not befitting for a son to be siding with either of his parents tribes. People like me feel the brunt of negative tribalism since we straddle between families who are from different tribes. The last thing I want is any dispute, disruption and issues between my parent's relatives. I never supported a warlord but prayed for their death, and when they died, I was happy and relieved. Away with evil was my first utterance. The only thing they did was make my life uncomfortable and disabled me to face one of my parents knowing how she might have felt. Honestly, life is difficult for any Somali muslim who wants to live among Somalis in these trying times. Wind.talker. A point-well taken bro. Xiinfaniin. Muqdishower wexey ka dhigan tahay, reer hebel, nothing to do with ownership. No one owns Xamar. Didn't mean to strip anyone of their right to the town.
-
Duke, no hard feelings bro. It is part pride and part knowing that the destiny of Muqdishowers is in their own hands that makes me less interested in debates of this sort. No hard feelings Saxib. CAAMIR. Mogadishu might be the most dangerous place to you, but it is home to millions including Somalis who come from as far as Ethiopia. Despite its security problems, people live in it, travel to it, do business in it, go to schools and colleges, move their families from europe, canada and America to it. The city is not void of people, wealth and other sorts of progress. It is actually better than the whole Puntland combined in terms of economics and educational institutions(check the websites for schools and colleges of Mogadishu and compare) despite the opportunities Puntland has in terms of open ports with security. The perpetual antagonism towards Xamar, coming from some including you, is based on tribalistic thinking and an assumption that the more negative about the city that is talked about, the more it is justified that Troops be deployed over-there. All for Abdullahi Yusuf to be safe and secure in his seat. Ain't that very lowly? Defintely no compassion and concern other than trivial objectives. Those who are honest about their desire to see a working government in xamar have their voice diluted by the voice of antagonists whose suffocating preoccupation with the acquisition of power makes others suspicious of everyone else they consider "outsider" no matter how honest an "outsider" might be.

Duke, Bes waaye, meeshaan ka qeyb galkeeda waa iska daayey. I just sound unlike me, another fadhi ku dirir. I better join where I belong and fit in without feeling that I have compromised my beliefs and capitulated to my unreasonable side because of what someone writes and says in here. Kheeraan kuu rajeynaa saxib. If everyone accepts that each somali group and individual have a stake in this process, then people must respect everyone's voice and address the matter instead of imposing a certain label to dispell credibility to one's concerns, or accuse them of sinister things. Respect and understanding is what is going to make this process complete. I hope this process goes forward and we get its benefits inshallah. Bro Juma. Focus on the positives. Going to Xamar and seeing the progress for yourself might reduce the need to prove anything to anyone who thinks lowly of Mogadishu and its people. I am sure you will be happy and love what you will see. Education, business and entrepreneurship are all at their peak. I hope nothing stops such progress due to political upheaval. Besides, Xaafadaha ugu dhisan, ugu nabad galyada fiican, waa xaafadda reerihiinna deggan yihiin. I am thinking Abdullahi Yusuf will be posing for picutres while he has such modern xaafado behind his back telling the world progress has been made despite lack of government for the last fourteen years LOL. Anyway, kheeraan idiin rajeenaa kulligiin. I am done here. I don't want to argue. I had done it before and I felt it changed me for the worse.

Can people voice their displeasure with certain policies? remember, all these arguments started with ethiopian troops being in Mogadishu regardless of the how they are coming? I think you supporters of abdullahi Yusuf misunderstand what it means to have freedom of choice in a so called federal government, freedom of expression, having a different opinion. You all seem to be saying people have to shut up and accept whatever that is thrown at them. Instead of putting dark interpretations of events, demeaning communities just because they don't like certain policies and feel undermined by it, why not take the time simply and address the benefits of ethiopian inclusion in the troops that are coming? Others have TOLD YOU the DISADVANTAGE which is the ethiopian bias towards Abdullahi Yusuf. If that is difficult for you, and you fear your weakness as an individual will be exposed by explaining the wisdom of ethiopian inclusion in the troops, then stop circulating around nonsense and don't poke other people's somaliness. You have got nothing to say about it except malign others. And that is what you do best. People who voice concerns about this have legitimate claims and they have stake in this, so it makes sense for them to voice their concerns and displeasure. The issue is addressed, if not, they have moved on and there is nothing the world can do and will do about it.

Bro Wiil Duco, I listened to the whole audio and I wasn't offended a bit. I found it to be less than what I expected. He wasn't hateful but belittling the influence of other tribes. He compared himself to Abdiqassim in terms of age and education, which was funny btw. I thought he had a sense of humour. He also talked about his record as a fighter for his tribe against other tribes and recalled of their defeat in his hands and under his leadership. He was telling the audience to forget about government and keep what they had. He reasoned with them that what was going on was unfair to his tribe and must be rejected. I got the impression that he was a man who wanted to keep his influence and power appealing to his tribe's passions. So what? every warlord did and still do that and I am not gonna pretend he is unique in this way. As for my assumption of him being Shuuci, remember he went to russia for education? Most of those somalis who went there came back atheists. With that in mind, and his warmongering records, coupled with fighting young religious men in Bosaso, I concluded he was religion-hater. I understand from the tape he has no clue about islam, but I was surprised how he mentioned that People die when Allah decides so, and praised god few times by saying Alxamdulillaah. To me, that is a big deal. May be I should have listened to other warlords and see if they mentioned God too LOL. Anyway, I have nothing personal against Abdullahi Yusuf. I don't want him to be the cause of war between my parents' respective tribes. If this effort doesn't work, I choose my parents' safety and want no wars between Abdullahi' s Major Clan and Others. People are afraid that if this doesn't work, he might say others are rejecting him because he is from such tribe. The facts are different and people only don't want ethiopian troops even under IGAD. Some can exploit the situation and make things difficult, but there is no rejection by others based on tribe I think. I don't want to see the progress made in Xamar to be reset way back to the nineties and people become victims of new wars. I have had enough of living in between families who are psychologically scarred by tribal wars, so this is personal for me. Xamar is diverse now with different tribes living in it and having businesses there. No one is asked about his tribe. I don't want that to change because of Abdullahi Yusuf. I care about the people more than I care about Abdullahi Yusuf's chance of presidency. I want this to work based on agreements and not on force. That is my beef with Abdullahi yusuf.
-
He is funny LOL. He cracked me up several times. Some of my thoughts about him were vindicated. The only thing that surprised me was by his mention of Allah several times. They used and still call him Matukade, and because of that I thought the guy was just typical shuuci. At least he believes in God no matter how twisted he sounds. Anyway, This audio can be and already is bad credit for him where others are concerned most definitely. It is their deja vu all over again.
-
I do think that he can address a lot of issues. But we shall see.
-
Wind.talker, It is all good if Ethiopia is staying out of this. Abdullahi Yusuf can put these rumours to rest by saying frontline states won't be included. That will be the end of speculations. I wonder why he is so quite lately? I haven't read Somali websites and didn't listen to BBC. Is there something he is saying about this? Last I checked he wanted IGAD with ethiopia included. He needed to sacrifice himself by going to Xamar and show the people that he meant business and is honest about being a president for all Somalis. A man who puts people first isn't afraid of anything. Reconciliation should have meant forgiveness and readiness to move ahead with the process of building a government. On the contrary, All Cabdullahi Yusuf did was take one wrong step after another. Many in Xamar would have supported him if he showed the courage in the early days to visit the town and speak to the people. It would have been difficult for those who disagree with him to do anything. The whole world and somalis would have turned against them if something happened to Abdullahi Yusuf. Sadly, Abdullahi Yusuf has the same mentality as any tribalist who doesn't trust their fellow somalis due to earlier conflicts. So reconciliation meant nothing but buying your own time to get what you wanted, and once you did, just be yourself. He gave the impression that he can only be in Xamar guarded by foreign troops with ethiopian troops most preferable to him. That impression he gave right or wrong have turned all potential supporters who wanted to see progress away from him. People felt they were demonized collectively as is the case most often. And then there was the lectures he gave about his war record as if people were interested about wars. You could say the man is reer mudug and doesn't see wars as a big deal, but it offended many. We live in a world where people hang on to every word you say. Abdullahi Yusuf wasn't prepared to lead a nation to be honest with you. I didn't like his victory cause I knew he would have difficult time due to personality issues and others who don't trust him. We would have fared better if civilian was elected although Abdullahi Yusuf, Atto, Yalaxow, Aidid Jr might have all rejected again due to their ego and wanting to keep their powers and influence. In any case, we are in full circle again and I am hoping because of a man or men, people won't draw the lines again as it had been a decade ago. We have a lot to lose if that happens. I saw a thread posted by Libax-san-kataabte that said Abdullahi Yusuf visited Xamar, and I thought, THERE ENDS ALL PROBLEMS AND DISPUTES. It was a joke.

Crazy questions you are afraid to ask!!!!!!!!!!!!
Xoogsade replied to BORN_BRANIAC's topic in General
Cute-Girl, The impact is as painful even at a shorter distance if you hit the pool flat on your stomach. It depends on how you enter or dive in to the water from reasonably higher ground. Have you watched olympic diving? They dive to the water from a distance, yet the divers have smooth entry and feel no hurt. However, if they hit the pool with their body not straight as an arrow, there is the risk of body injury. A body falling from a distance is heavier than its actual weight. Force due to gravity?? velocity/speed/distance. Someone approaches the water with speed coupled with heavier weight and you have an impact. Interesting question really. If I find scientific explanation other than my thoughts, will let you know lol. -
Who Do You Think Has The Best Nick On Somalionline?
Xoogsade replied to MiZz_LeXuS's topic in General
Xoogsade is another one though self-congratulatory comment. -
Caaqil, thanks for the info about the towns. You aptly described government as it used to be. Take Care saxib,
-
MsWord, Coming together might be a sinister design to some while to those concerned, it is their survival and preparation for what is to come towards them. That is the impression one would get if they were to talk to these people and ask them why. It is even beyond warlords and specific communities now according to what I hear from Xamar. That is how serious people over there took this invasion. And to them, what they think matters more to what others say or think. Surely, they aren't waiting for a second opinion and live in their own world.
-
Msword, Glad to have entertained you with the fervour. But conspiracy theory? I don't think so. People are paranoid back home and take threats very seriously. It doesn't take much to entice them into armed conflicts, offend their tribal sensibilities or frighten them. And that is what happened.
-
Miskiin, That is a good reason to worry runtii. Sadly, Somalis treat government as family ownership, hence, their attitude of whatever it takes that gives us the chance to rule. That is why I sometimes think in la gumeysto iney ku fiican yihiin oo xorriyadda laga qaado in kastoo damiirka oggoleyn. Suldaanka. Thanks man, I thought Dacar iney Qaraar tahay laakiin I totally forgot the relation it had with the tree. Thanks saxib. I tried to understand the meaning of the towns like Dacar Buluq and it didn't make sense to me. Oh well, people who named the place that name knew what it meant anyway. No offence.
-
Caaqil, Ereyga "Dacar" afsoomaliga "Qaraar" muu ka dhigan yahay ama la mid yahay? . Intee waaye meelahaanna? Mudug intee kaga yaalliin mise waa gobollada dhexe?
-
Miskiin, Nin caadeystey inuu wuxuu doono xoog ku meel mariyo markiisii hore, oo aan weli fahmin Somalia ineyan aheyn gobolkuu madaxda ka ahaa oo looga dulqaadan jirey waaye Abdullahi Yusuf. And for his supporters, instead of questioning his nonsensical insistence on these specific countries be included in troop depolyment, they choose to attack others, one time whole tribes, and the other the same warlords they were praising months ago for their participation in the reconciliation meetings. Btw bro, why do you worry about The Capital being moved to another town? I have a different opinion and feeling about this. Some like the move because they want this government to survive and work with good intentions while some think it is some sort of punishment to the people who live in Xamar. Anyway, haddii nimankaan habaaran ee cirka laga soo ridey magaalada joogi laheyn, oo dadka degganna xagga siyaasadda ka mideysnaan lahaayeen, waxaanoo dhan ma dhici leheen iyo is qab qabsigaan. iyadoo la baryaayo aa loo imman lahaa oo la dhihi lahaa aan wada shaqeyno. The blame partly falls on the men who put the city and their communities where they are today. Haddii mustaqbalkana ay dhacdo in la beddelo caasimadda, facasaa an takuuna kheyran. Waxaan shar aheyn oo dowlad niman mujrimiin madax ka yihiin laga heli lahaa maa jirto to begin with? This is my idea and it isn't popular, laakiin, I am the least bothered I think by the much talk of move. Besides, there is a great chance to make this last effort work. The warlords are now part of a government to which they pledged allegiance and a light can be shined on them if they lack any credible arguments. Luckily for them, they found a good point and others are insisting on the losing end. I personally support any evil who doesn't like ethiopian troops in the capital and I suspect there are plenty like me. If Abdullahi Yusuf and policy makers were smart, they would accept to forego the neighbouring troops and put more emphasis on troops from other countries. I m thinking there is much help available for them to make things work this time. What other excuse would there be if this issue is settled? Nin walboo nasoo marey kan kale wuu ka madax adkaa waddankiina sidaasuu dhulka u galey. And you don't even have to question the blind supporters who gave and will give their lives for lost causes. Habeen wanaagsan.
