  1. Duke, Adigey qiimo kula leedahay where the capital is, others are quite happy with the arrangement, have you thought about that? The further away the disputed government is, the better runtii. What makes a town a town is not a government basing its institutions in it but rather the people who live in the town, and the reer xamars have done quite well lately for themselves. Adaaba dowladda la sheegaayo u heellan saxib, for others, shiddey la soo socotaa. Laba kala baridey kala war la'.
  2. ZEPHY Haa Abaayo, iga dhab waaye, you think I would ask? Come on, not all guys think with their lower jewel. That is not fair you know. Some of us are gentlemen. 7 of 9 You surely grew some balls talking to me like that.
  3. CHE, You have a healthy approach to the whole saga of somali politics. Qabiil is the only obstacle to peace and people love it. In fact, they built their best hopes and future on that ideology of tribal power-sharing and now they are paying for it once again. They thought such system would please everyone. The minute the president was announced the lines were drawn as losers vs big winners and it continued from there. A/Y had perfect opportunity I think and people might have helped him had he moved to Mogadishu right after his election. Perhaps such move would have quited any meaningful opposition to the government. But with the pride of some hurt by their loss, coupled with A/Y's threats and controversial proposals, his declared mistrust of Mogadishu and its residents by deed, provided the perfect ammunition to an already disenchanted men and many people from their immidiate clans came along with them due to their tribal pride. Dadkaan waa lagala daaley qabiil halaga talo baxo and a uniting central tenet which is islam must be used. They refused such concept uniformly, so my view is, no injustice to anyone then, and since all are corrupted, let somalis be as they are till they repent or whatever group who can come together and build a consensus for a rule, let them have it and I will support them. Let us hope this government isn't really dead and somehow by miracle something comes through.
  4. ~Any woman who thinks the way to a man's heart is through his stomach is aiming just a little too high.~ By Zephy LOL, Okey, they should just aim a little lower then? Or there is more to the quote than what I can deduce from it? It must be saying men think with that lower spot than they should with their brains? I am at a loss here
  5. Bro Che, Ilaahey waxba lama aha inuu soomaalida hal habeen qalbigooda isu keeno, but this is what they chose and Allah lets people decide their own fate through their freewill. I feel bad at times like these when I see a good somali brother losing hope, at the same time, when I see some other men's attitudes, I just think may be some more years of hell on Somali earth isn't that bad afterall. I wish Qabiiliiste oo dhan hal habeen in nafta laga wada qaado including myself if I was one. I am that certain of me to ask Allah to take the lives of those who placed their society where it is.
  6. Bro dowlad qabiiliiste adigoo kale ah, oo dadka neceb, una heysta inuu aabbihii madax ka yahay meesha oo dadka nasabadooda meel uga dhacaaya arrintaa daraadeed, yaa raba oo soo dhoweynaaya haddaad caqli leedahay? Ogoow, ninkaad u diganeyso inuu adiga kula mid yahay xagga qabaliyada ama kaa daran yahay. Waxba been been ha isku maawelin ee ka tasho meesha waa lagaa tashadaye. In your tribalistic fervour, you missed the reality of this government and how really helpless it is in the face of powerful ideology that is not going away anytime soon. Where you and your likes think there is government, others treat it as their demise and a threat to their existence, such fear from the common folk because they know who they are going to deal with, YOU IN MULTIPLES SO CORRUPTED life would be difficult in a position of powerlessness. Adaa lagu eegtaa oo laga war qabaa dhaqankaaga, ka dibna la gaaraa go'aan saxib. Perhaps this true insight into the minds of others might help you stop entertaining any break for you any time soon. Too bad for the needy somali who would have benefitted from a government. The likes of you screwed it up for them.
  7. It is not diversion but to show kindness and take pity on an embittered soul whose one solace comes from lashing out at individuals he doesn't know, he never met, and who have done nothing to him personally. You obviously lack common sense but lest you not be left withering in your sad state of mind, I reminded you what you left behind of backwardness and stubborness. If your preference is to wallow in that refuse, your prerogative Ali Baba. If this is therapeutic though, hey, who am I to deny a needy brother to get some relief and release pressure at my expense. Do continue the saga saxib. I will be a happy spectator and will cheer you on. PS: Adeyba kuu kala soocan yihiin Dhuuso mareeb iyo Galkacyo, to me, you are all the same both people and land.
  8. The reality is quite different on the ground in Somalia. People have no respect for authority and lack trust in it. When the government in Galkacyo insisted the killer to be executed according to the law, his tribesmen broke into the jail and got him out. A war ensued and government soldiers were attacked in their garrison. When the government also removed the headmaster of the school and nominated one, people were unhappy and installed back the one they were happy with. You can say the government should have put people's choice into consideration and shouldn't have nominated an official without consultation, nonetheless, that is how Somalis will treat government for years to come. It will be what people want right or wrong or a war with the government. If that conflict in Galkacyo between a community and government lead by a man they consider their own was possible, what do you expect from others in different towns? It can be worse right?
  9. Ali Baba, take advantage of the opportunities you have here in the west and do something worthy for a change. You are lucky to leave that primitive mudug life and mentality behind and see how the civilized people of the world live. Your first opportunity I think in a town, so don't waste it.
  10. Ali-Baba, once you get the upper hand, send them all to the gallows as there are no innocents in the community that embittered you and others so much. Tell me though, why haven't you joined the rag-tag malnourished troops supposedly marching towards Mogadishu and other smaller towns? Aren't you passing by the perfect opportunity to aid a good cause? the awaited liberation? earn heaven in the process, fulfill your ferocious tribal instincts? A/Y needs men like you with the deep conviction and rage to fight alongside him as others including those who pretentiously align themselves with him aren't willing to die for the cause the lesser role of soaking blood on your mouth is okey too before you physically join the vaunted army, a necessary prelude to bloody hands indeed is the kind you are engaged in right now. Keep up the good work son.
  11. The only way to stop mad men was to let them die the death of their victims and A/Y will be no exception. The downside is that the death of tyrants doesn't come soon enough and they kill many before they are killed or die in bitterness. PS: Horta yaa madaxa laga marey oo u dagaallaamaayo A/Y marka hore?
  12. I like the poem "Dardaaran". Makes one feel sorry for him and proud at the same time that in the annals of somali history, there was a man who stood tall and refused to sell his soul and country. He wasn't perfect man but the best somalis ever had(after gurey) and will ever have(may be).
  13. Sky, you misunderstood the somali part in my comment I think. I wasn't defining what government is or should be but relaying to you some facts. While some people are loyal supporters of the government for whatever reason, others(who show some objections to it, with the exclusion of Atto and Yalaxow), have legitimate concerns and pray to God that if this government means more trouble for them and bloodshed, God should keep it confined outside their premises. This is what I am told people do after prayers(friday prayers in particular). Their concern is legitimate since they will be caught in the crossfire if there will be one. Anyone who puts himself in their shoes can understand them perfectly. We tend to see political issues from our narrow self-interests with dogmatic fervour and that is the problem. No one cares about the other and takes into account what people are thinking. I can't even give a simple analysis without my intensions being doubted Just because I am not related to A/Y for example, my comments are automatically viewed as anti government despite my logical arguments against more violence and wars that can lead to more destituteness, death and agony. Anyways, Wixii kheer ku jiro ilaahey ha siiyo somalida for they trully need it. Other than that, I am apolitical. Some of you twist my hands and force me to reply to their injustices Xiinfaniin Such noble campaign would be possible and would have found many supporters if A/Y wasn't viewed negatively or he wasn't who he is in the minds of many. There is an image problem for him. he is a hard sell to people. People won't see who he wants to fight against. And if he doesn't need the Somalis to support him and secured the support of outsiders, such would be the cause that may have unified many somalis across the board to fight him and his army of outsiders. Either way, it would be a lost cause. You must remember that people supported this government for peaceful purposes and never consented to any war. Do you think A/Y would have been elected had he talked about wars? Ethiopian troops? All these issues were after his election and they caused the political stagnation. Enlisting the local support in Xamar was and is still the best option. For him to do that, he should personally pay a visit to the town even if he has to leave the government ministers behind at Jowhar. He needs to do basic campainging before he talks about a war. He needs to show he can come to town without invading it first. He drew the lines too early and spoiled the chances for a success I think. A would be tyrant waiting for his chances waaye odaga and people aren't so crazy about aiding and abetting him.
  14. Checkmate, caadadeyda waaye nooh inaan gadaal ka cabsado marka horena aan daan daansado dadka Can't go all the way can I? And you have to expose my cowardice, masaasaa qaraabo lagu yahay saaxib? karbuunaa igu shidey lol. PS: Xoogsade username gives a fearsome character impression to others without me uttering a word I know. It is a misnomer that serves a good purpose.
  15. Arawello , I wrote something to you but changed my mind. Don't wanna invite anymore troubles. Bishaaro Raalli ahoow ma diidey? Don't you think my public apology is an act of being a gentleman?
  16. I bought the Somali version(Diiwaanka Gabayada Sayidka) from one of the Local Halal somali shops. I also bought the Yibir of Las Burgabo by Mahmoud gaildon as well from there. Just ask the cashier even if you don't see the book on display. They have the tendency sometimes to keep it out of view unwittingly. Good luck.
  17. Lidia, wisdom exudes from your words. Thank you. Bishaaro, Haa, maxaa iga qaadi kartaa? lol. Raalli ahoow abaayo in case you were offended. I thought once you called yourself an airhead, I could too.
  18. Bishaaro, There is hope for the airheads. There are organizations who freely help people out of debt by dealing on your behalf directly with the credit companies reducing your interests. I think these services are acceptable to the credit card companies and banks because they are afraid of people filing bankruptcy. These moneyed elitists who have monopoly over people's lives lobbied the congress and their friend Bush to make it difficult for people to file bankcruptcy. Waa gumeysi caadi ah.
  19. Dabaal ma taqaanaa maka horeesoo tiimbashada aaba tiimbatide? Xaasid lol. Seriously Abaayo, accruing debt is like signing your freedom away, withering your mental well-being and making life difficult for you. I am not talking about you but in general. To me the banks are blood suckers who create money on the backs of the poor giving them papers and plastic pieces that are worth nothing before these poor people unwittinly sign on to their scheme. Yaa tuugo u shaqeyn karo day in day out? Mafia waaye furtey meel dadka lagu dhaco. Did you know Arawelo that paying your bill can screw up your credit and hike your interest rates as well? You may ask how, Well, these MAFIA BANKS set the deadline date usually to a nonworking day(it falls within weekend so your payment sits unprocessed for two days). Then they tell you your credit is screwed because of that and interest goes up, top that with late fees you have to pay. God! only someone mindless gives these people an opportunity to rob. If you have two credit cards or more from different companies, they will all use one bad credit report to raise your fees and interest rates. I watched a whole program about their schemes on TV sometime ago.
  20. Xiinka, I listened to an interview taken by Marka radio sometime ago where A/Y was being asked about his view of the current issues and the future of the government(he was in Yemen at the time). Listening to his replies was like reading Duke(word for word) and You(to some extent) honestly! Ma isu dardaaranteen? btw, nice of you to console Duke by letting him know you are as focused on the ball as he is. I do think foreign troops or not, ample weaponry or not, what will make this government work is the co-operation of all parties involved. That fact seemed to elude A/Y who came across in the interview as someone already decided about what he wanted to do if he had the wherewithal. In fact, he was contemptly talking about others who disagreed with him and belittling them which makes aptly clear that he will never come into terms with them. Amxaaro isn't coming so who else is going to be soldiering for what he wants? I heard he was dissuaded from seeking the aid of troops from Mudug and must rely on others to avoid misunderstanding or willful misrepresentation by others who disagree with him. Every way you look at this, problems for him seem insurmountable. PS: Waxa dowlad dad u arkaan, dadka kale ilaah ayay ka baryaan ineysan saameyn ku yeelan noloshooda oo dhinac loo dhaafiyo.
  21. Sky, The fool in the pic isn't unique in his warped thinking. I see parallels between him and those who would support a war but aren't there in Somalia, any war waged to settle political differences between men who aren't worth the sacrifice they are asking for and demanding people to make. As for your question about whose liver would be split or enraptured by this dude in the pic, I assume his intended victims to be those whom he considers his enemies. About Aidid Sr, he was a pick I made out of many, but if he or anyone else from other communities was in place of A/Y today, would those twisted individuals drumming up for A/Y's war be supportive of a war when their relatives would be caught in the crossfire? Would they make their parents the sacrifical lamps for undeserving government based on corruption and on the failed concept of tribal appeasement?

Very interesting! likewise, I read an article long ago that detailed how Christopher Colombus saw in the carribean islands people who prayed like Muslims and their women covered from head to toe. He made an observation about their dress being that of European like and men sporting big beards. Some of the words used by the indian American tribes have relations with Allah and so on. He even found arrows made in west africa according to their modeling. I will link the link once I find it again to here. Ha u deymo la'aan PS: I found this link which seems to have as a content what I read long ago. http://www.cyberistan.org/islamic/mamerica.html Check out the names below, very interesting http://www.cyberistan.org/islamic/places2.html
  23. Nuune, Meel laga qaaqaawan yahay aa ku xiran odaga yeey. Xaasid waaxid lol. I didn't bother checking others.
  24. Bishaaro, labada shimbirood oo avatarka kuu ah ma wax bey afka isu gelinaayaan? I like the way you express your romanticism through the avatar, waa heer sare besides, most guys I see nowadays here in the states exactly look like the guy in the picture. They bought the sponsor iyagoo bacdoodii qabo.
