Maashallah, Bro Qumane, thanks. I pray for Hodan as well. It is as if I forgave her now. It is indeed tragic story. The endurance of the story comes from the unhappy ending it has. If they married, that would had been the end of their story. Thanks again Qumane.

Duke, it is at times like these I feel guilty about my disputes with you. I operate and pick on you on the assumption that you are extremely biased(many may agree with me), and then you say something that is a counter to my beliefs about you. Saxib, if I have to continue participating in the political section, I am hoping you will accept me as a somali brother who can have differences of opinion with you. Inshallah, I will not say what you are not to score a point. Adigana, I hope, out of anger, you don't resort to accusations that are obviously unbackable. I cafi saxib.

Indha Cadde, was he part of Al-itihad? honest question, I don't know about it. I want to know what kind of wadaad he was prior to these allegations. -
It is normal for other Somalis to ask for the proof of your claim. You shouldn't be insensed by their curiousity. They think it is funny/questionable gardarrabo haku ahaatee. Besides, most often those who claim to have Arab roots think such claim gives them special status among somalis. I think you know about that. Think about a somali person who doesn't feel a bit arabic about him, and you who say is Arab in origin. What is the difference between you two today as somalis? can you tell what tribe a somali belongs to when you see him in downtown seattle? Alpha-Geeljire thinks somalis have nothing in common and his reply would be a resounding yes. It is ignorance engrained in some people's mentality that dirves a wedge between somalis. It seriously has nothing to do with who is who. Your family roots are your family roots. Sideedaba, you are who you are individually and you get no entitlement owing to your 36th father assuming he was from Syria. Anyways, this is tiring. Arabism which equates tribalism has no place among somalis. Islamism yes, a yemeni, iraqi, syrian, egyptian who are obviously arabs will have no issues with a somali muslim person. I am assuming if you and your families kept to their roots(accepting that based on your insistence that you are arabs), we wouldn't have a talk about who is arab and who is not.
-
CAAMIR, Why don't you link the rest of the info of the serfs? I also hope you check the Yemeni tribal names and find out if there is one that has the name of the last name of those among somalis who claim to be Arabs. A good reason for me to believe such somalis have nothing in common with or have roots in Yemen. You might learn few things about that. PS: Carabnimada qofkii rabo looma diidana. others don't see why it is important.

Tragic ending. Thanks for the conclusion Muhammad. According to people who go insane with love, they lose appetite for eating, get depressed and become secluded from others. I read many of a story like that or heard about it from real persons. So it makes sense the poor fella to had died weak and deprived of body nourishment. May Allah have mercy on him. I heard also they do unbecoming things on his grave. Wax waalan lama waayo lool. instead of praying for the man, they visit his grave, as they said, with the intent of screwing. run miyaa sheekadaas? Wax maka maqashey?
-
Sheekadooda intey ku dhammaatey? Funny thing is, I know the beginning of it, the middle of the story, but somehow never ended up getting the final part clearly. Cilmi died out of love is common knowledge. What about Hodan? As a kid, I always hated HODAN. Every time aan sheekada maqlo, my words were, xaasidsanaa laakiin, miskiinka mexey sidaas u yeeshey. I was quick to judge her assuming she refused him. Anyways, I get a bit here and piece of the story there. I didn't get to check above me if there was a link with the full story, so if anyone has it, yallah, soo callaq anigana aan riixee linkiga. According to one of the poems above, it seems his relatives knew about his obsession with hodan and tried to provide him with pretty women in hopes of him forgetting about her. How nice of them really. All that made him though was suffer more and reawaken his dormant undying love for her. Man! Jacayl SUCKS if it hurts people like that. But he should have tried marrying one, who knows, may be after toddobada(the seven days discovery), it would be, "Oh" I can deal with that. I like to think every woman is just like the other and all give womanly thing in terms of warm feelings and etc, so why pain yourself when you can get one? Mise tan la rabo besaa wax gooni ah laga helaa? Cajiib.

LOOL. Dhinaca gabdhaha/naagaha bilaash maloo DHIHIN meeshaan. I think you girls can discuss anything you wish. The problem is the lack of privacy certain feminine issues require. It just occured to me to click on the "Women" Section while eating my Suxuur, and loooooool, I am still laughing at the subject. Ceeb badanaa. Adduunkiyoo dhan hadda wuxuu noqdey an open book.

Originally posted by CAAMIR: What if you kidnap him and demand ransom? Then might you reassess of its benign consequence from the sublime to the ridiculous? I hope you comprehend the moral/legal rectitude of the word kidnap before you employ for biting satire. Of course, you nailed it, I would demand a ransom given my inherent savagery, and my comprehension skills are not as advanced as yours. Apart from that, Gediid has the perfect understanding of what is going to happen if A/Y comes to town with troops. Even if we give A/Y the benefit of the doubt, it will still be difficult for him to justify such move to people who might see it differently. A/Y can dismiss the opposition he faces as unimportant like many here do, but the reality can be altogether different. It will be beyond normal, miraculous in nature, for A/Y to go there as he plans and then people over there collectively welcome him. Unless the naysayers join him in jowhar, and come back with him to Xamar, failure is a sure thing. PS: If A/Y can't arrest or punish men who are in the government, what purpose did his year in Jowhar serve after he comes to town? Wouldn't it be more useful if he accepted the fact that these men are not as a threat to his person as he makes them out to be? or he accepts the fact that they are part of his government? A/Y might be on the same road men before him took, keep on insisting things will go his way and in the end, leave much troubled people behind. Sky It is like a third party intervention where you force two groups to sit together and make them understand forcefully, it is not difficult to solve their differences without a war. This analogy will be acceptable to you or to Caamir only if you see A/Y as someone who was elected on good will, and that if things don't go his way, he can't force anyone but negotiate with them.

Tukaale, I commented but may be it is not to your liking or to the liking of anyone who expects something other than what I have expressed. I wrote the same thing you wrote(sheekh and drug dealing are not compatible), but as common in places like this, the willfully blind, can't see anything because that is their choice, to be blind. Adiga qudhaada, maka soo saari kartaa meesha ay ku qoran tahay "I support religious drug dealers"? Can you? On behalf of Duke? I don't mind. It should be enough that I said earlier according to the report, the man is/has questionable character, it is still written up there, and at the end, I also said that you can't be sheekh yet own drug farms(The same thing you just said above}. Oohinta orgiga ka weyn ma maqashey? Waxbaa idin cunaaya runtii, but I will make sure no one gets away with comments they can't back up with evidence. I disdain lowering myself to the level of people bereft of any sensible thoughts and argue about nothing, however, sometimes I can't and won't let naked lie slide by if I can help it. Anything else you wanna say tukaaloow? -

Can you point out where it says in my earlier posts "I accept drug dealing religious men?". You have the whole day to show for that, and when I come back, you will pay for it and be a victim of your own malice as usual if you haven't pointed that out. Now, on my way out. PS: One needs a way out only when they lost an argument and want to save a face. I don't need to save a face here(very important for me to stres this) or lost an argument. I don't write whimsically, or about bigotted death wishes on others. As for the jokes, they are a way of communication. They serve their purpose. It pleases me to write facts that pain some people as they are and as I know of them, say my unadulterated view with confidence regardless of who gets annoyed by that. I stand by what I said and say always what I mean as much. So I shall see where I said "I accept drug dealing religious men". Awalba qof hadalkiisa credibility sidaa uwayn aan lahayn yaad ila ahayd, That is why I said I don't judge people based on Some complaints. This challenge will be yet another chance for your self-review and for people to see one more time that you just utter nonsense as you see fit. Don't disappoint me fadlan. -

The reason I asked the question was, I look down on Guulwadeynta and learning about political figures more than necessary, so if I can ask another Guulwade, that is a short cut. Thanks. You have been useful saxib. Now I know, Show nimanku waa hal qabiil awoowgood lagubta -
Femme, I know that. But desperate times call for desperate measures. I wouldn't mind kidnapping the Old man ala commando style in his sleep so he wakes up in Xamar the next Morning lol. That is what I meant but no physical harm to him. PS: I didn't know you read the political section Ramadan Kariim Sis.

Okey, gartey, some questionable character the man is if what was submitted as a report about him is true. Where does Sheekh Dahir Uweys fit into this equation? What about him now? In the late 1990s, I watched a video from Marka and surrounding areas. What was on the tape spoke of a better change than the marauding malitia men who robbed and killed people at will. Taped were the elders from Qoryooleey, Marka, Jamaame and etc who were showering praises on the change God has brought to them. In fact, some were very emotional in the interviews. They even had a segment about Qoryooleey inwhich they interviewed the Xamaali men in the market who were happy to keep their meager earnings whereas in the past, they were robbed. There were also other segments about court procession where the Elders of the areas, aided/guided by a sheekh, meted out punishments on violators. That is the last time I checked about MARKA and surrounding areas. I thought those people earned what they had been praying for. Oh yes, there were also a segment about Marka Prison camp where they rehabilitated the looters. Some of those prisoners actually said they were forced to pray and learn about islamic Caqiida. This Indhacadde Dude waa gadasheyda, and to be honest, I don't follow too much about who is who. My first reaction to any political figure is "Oh Boy, there goes another crook" and that where I stop. In a place like this section, I reply to people's comments if they are obviously biased. I am somali after all and CAN'T TAKE BS from anyone. PS: Some might disagree anything good done by others just because supposedly, the man doing it comes from another town and doesn't belong there. Please, if you think that way, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME REPLYING. As for this Yusuf Indhacadde, I will see what more I can learn about him. Surely, you can't be Sheekh and own Drug Farms. I wonder why the tribal Elders on his payroll aren't talking if their tribesmen are held hostage as pointed out by the report? -
Yes, if I could, I would at gun point force him come Home which is Xamar and force him to start government business.

But the president is notably ABSENT and may be preparing for a war on these same people celebrating his inauguration. First time in Somali history an elected president can't show up in his Capital because of a dispute with fellow crooks while the common nomads want him in town PS: I am shocked people aren't armed to the teeth in these pictures. Malaha kuraasta hoostoodaa la dhigtey qoryaha out of the camera view lol. -

How is ma lady Rahima? ii warran abaayo? Just keep at it sis, we will have to teach the brethren here how to sit down with a female and discuss issues of importance You are the voice of reason as many others are representing the somali girl's views who are mostly unbiased and more sensible than male somalis. -

Yea, what was the subject all about? And who is Indhacadde? I don't even know what clan he belongs to(I can guess the main one but don't know the sub-one of course, never asked) let alone can say anything factual about what he did or does. Definitely, I am not going to judge him based on some complaints. I for one get accused of many things. I take the articles or comments in here mostly as what they are: Emotional tribal outbursts in support of A/Y and in Demeaning anyone who is considered a threat to his more-loved-than-everyone-else's-life screwed up presidency. -
You sometimes think collectively(collectively blame etc) like those who were subjected to a narrow world-view in their impressionable years. And if it wasn't something common, something uniquely Wind.Talker, I would have said you have particular dislike for one subclan. Having said that about you, I find you friendly and reer magaal, someone people could reason with to a good extent.

I haven't checked the links attached but read everything in the article. Very informative. For those who have families in town, and who may read this article, Shouldn't they contact the group and offer their moral support? Explain the culture a bit and even promise to pay the group a visit in the future? Gegida waa beellee intee wax xun ka aragteen? Good airport for a small carro guduud town.

Indeed, what goes around, comes around. We waited in Xamar while the rest of the country was being burnt, properties appropriated, innocents buried alive, tied behind jeeps and their skin fell off piece by piece just because of who they were tribewise. -

Waa runtaa Gediid. It is confounding to see almost all societies knowing their roots and having no dispute about it while Somalis are eternally confused. Waxaa u fiicnaan lahayd, to focus on the provable immidiate source and forget about the elusive origin. They are known to be Somalis as entity and that should have sufficed them today. They were granted a country they call their own(a privellege millions of people around the world don't have) and hold a unique place as homogenous society, yet, many are blinded to that gift. Well, anyways, enough said about the subject.

Originally posted by Alpha-Geeljire: Yes some arab tribes were considered ignoble, if you would recall when the nabi (scw) told jacfar and all the "minority" arabs who wouldn't have protection from the infidels to flee to Habasha. I don't remember the specifics and how the conversation of the prophet and his small in number companions at the time went although I read an online version of the biography of the prophet in a book called "The Sealed Nectar" long ago. Now, can you name the ignoble Arab tribes to which some of the companions belonged to? Also, it appears to me that in your definition or line of thought, Minority means Ignobility when it can mean "small in number" only as a tribe smaller in number compared to others within the same geographical area. Does "small in number" mean "ignobility"? Large tribes meant guaranteed protection from hegemony where smaller tribes would play safe to avoid confrontation with a giant unforgiving one. It was pre-islamic days so the stronger ate the smaller. Could that explain what the prophet pbuh meant with what you said? As somalis, we have some tribes small in number whom you would consider noble. If these somali tribes can't be ignoble for their small number, I wonder how the Arab tribes can be said to be ignoble just because they are minority within their own community? I am just following your own definitions here as I understood them. I don't believe there is any ignoble person on this earth based on birth. One is ignoble or becomes one based on his/her deeds basically. In the eyes of all reasonable beings, that person will be shunned. You are right, I am trying to figure out what is your take on the issues. If along the process of the exchange someone blames you or disagrees with you, I have no hand in it. You came here as an adult and that is how everyone else sees you I suppose. So I have no ulterior motives other than expressing my disagreements with you where legitimate/necessary, or to clarify some doubts I have about something you wrote for myself. I got plenty of skeletons in the closet that need to be addressed. I should be the last one seeking to highlight other people's short-comings. My apologies if you have assumed that I have written with the wrong intensions. Your views are yours and if you firmly believe in them, it is logical you stand by them. At the same time, if your expressed views are out of touch with islam, then the noble thing to do is to revisit them and correct them. That goes for everyone. No one is the above the Law. PS: I know you are not seeking recognition from anyone. You were blunt in expressing your views as they were. As for me taking your views as hateful, no, hateful is not the word that came to mind. My reaction in the beginning was: Oops! we got Alpha-Acraabi lool. But anyhow saxib, who am I to deny people of their lineage if they are saying they are Arabs? No matter how paradoxical or enigmatic the claim seems to be, I am not the one who is forced to or required from, to explain away the insurmountable obvious disparity. As an outsider to the claim of arab-hood/argument, as a pure somali nomad, my participation should be as "Interested to know person". I count only ten fathers to the subclan I belong to, add two more names and I am there at the the Somali Father Figure. If you can continue to sheekh ismaa'iil who is said to have come from Syria, hey Man( that is what my mother says as well Although I am not sure how convinced she is), good luck to you all. I am happy with being Somali. Serves me good. No ambiguity in my case. That is the name, the clan, and what the whole world knows me for.
