^^ Duke, We will see about that. So far, there is only failure to report and no progress if we avoid to measure success on some warlord's survival in the TFG. Garyaqaan. Allah is just and won't let an injustice go unpunished, therefore, A/Y is responsible for the deaths of innocents and those who will die as long as he insists he is the leader of Somalis. You and Him(A/Y) both agree that he is responsible and is a leader for somalis, and you know well what that entails, as the prophet pbuh said, every leader is responsible/questioned for/about his subjects and their suffering. Allah is just and punishes severely those who fail their responsibility. A/Y has a lot to answer for saxib, if I were you, I wouldn't put myself at risk speaking on his behalf. You yourself will be questioned for your support, think about that if you care. People make a habit of belittling the crimes individuals like A/Y committ because of their corruption. Allah doesn't forget the pain of innocents, their death and sufering. TFG supporters are in no place to mention God. They are best served to keep singing the clan songs, it serves them better. Waxaan la yaabay kuwa A/Y taageero oo Aayad quraan hoosta ku soo xardhaday, they make mockery of Allah honestly.

It is wait and see game on their part not necessarily about them knowing who is their next target. These guys are very predictable. Waa maskax caruureed. These pictures seem to have been taken when the demonstration ended. You can see more people in here. Despite the threats from TFG clan militia and the Xabashis, these women and children took a great risk to express their love of freedom while many other somalis willingly submit themselves to Xabashi spying and collaboration for cheap clanish goals which haven't materialized as of yet as they hoped for. Good for these brave mothers and kids. Gobnimada waa loo kala dhashaa.

What galvanized the people yesterday morning was what happened the day before when the TFG militia executed a Quranic Teacher who used to teach Qiraa'ada to kids by calling him Al-Qa'ida and then refusing his body to be buried. That brought the entire neighbourhood out yesterday when the insurgents came to avenge for the dead Quranic teacher and take his body forcefully for burial. ^ Okay bro, if your objectives are noble, the means with which you want to achieve them should be noble as well. The end should not justify the means when you know the end(even if it is to your liking) will not be productive but counter-productive for you. Perpetual conflicts is not what Somalis need and clan politics deepen the crisis. Accepting clan politics hurt is the first step to freedom and peace. I don't expect things to imporove any time soon and am pessimistic, but Allah plans and Almigthy him knows what is in store for the troubled and decimated souls back in Somalia. Hoope your family is doing good. Take Care Now.

^ LOL, good point Duke, they are not effective being there and far away from the heat, but they have nonetheless made the right choices at least to distance themselves from stoogely and nominal parliament, stoogely and nominal president, stoogely and nominal prime-minister owned and managed by Zenawi and who all serve nonsomali and narrow clan interests. I support: A- Somalis against clan politics. B- Somalis who expressly want Ethiopians out of the country. C- Somalis who fight the Xabashis wherever and whenever they can revenging the somali blood. I hope to see your political views and how they change once we are past TFG. Most certainly, you won't twist news, fabricate, downplay legitimate opposition, go at length to demean and tarnish thE image of some man yesterday you were supporting and today you passionately dislike after he disagrees with your favourite man. Your buried sanity will come out then me thinks I hope to see you past the useless TFG and how your views and behaviour will change. PS:If I want to know what A/Y is planning, I read you

^ This occupation is here to stay for a long brutal shameful time to come. Zenawi knows he has somalis by the balls, thanks to Puntland, Somaliland, Jubbaland, and to the Nolander Warlords trying to bring the last citadel(Muqdisho) to its knees. Why don't they name that piece of a sore on the Map a different name so we don't have to be delusional about it? I mean Somalia, it is gone, waa u dhammaatay.

^ You shouldn't have missed to attend your role model's welcome party considering how you accentuate your love for the man with "Alxamdulillah" as if I would fail to sense the urgency in your voice bro You may have attended but fear to admitt How sad. As for Reer Cuqdad, tell that to those who kept their heads low and lived in perpetual grief and resentment till the Xabashis landed on our blessed soil only for these cowards to come out and celebrate the massacre of their foes. PS: This is very civil discussion, drop your two cents.

Addis Abbaba (Sudan Times) – Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said he is against the withdrawal of Ethiopian troops in the current conditions from Somalia. He pointed out that this move means sabotaging sacrifices paid to stabilize the neighboring country. Speaking on Tuesday 23 October at the 4th regular meeting of the House of Peoples’ Representatives Meles said total and immediate pull out of the Ethiopian army in Somalia under the circumstances would have been tantamount to sabotaging the sacrifices paid by the army and also rendering valueless Ethiopia’s contributions for peace in Somalia. Responding to questions concerning the relation of Ethiopia with Somalia, Meles said the Ethiopian army was deployed to Somalia as per a request made by the Transitional Federal Government. "So, rushing to pull out the army immediately would have entailed a situation for the already dismantled forces of terror in Somalia to regroup, and thereby to render void the sacrifices already made by the Ethiopian army." He said Somali troops, with crucial aid from neighboring Ethiopia, drove the Council of Islamic Courts out of the capital and the southern Somalia in an offensive that began late last December. But many Somalis resent the presence of Ethiopian forces. Somalia, a Muslim country, and Ethiopia, which has a large Christian population, fought a brutal war in 1977. Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi had announced in January 2007 the withdrawal of its troops from Somalia two weeks after after helping the Somali interim government rout Islamists in a two-week war. The United States and Ethiopia have portrayed the Islamists as linked to and even run by al Qaeda, putting Somalia firmly on the map of the U.S.-led war against terrorism. Somali Islamists took control of the capital Mogadishu in June 2006 and had imposed sharia law across much of the south. ^ LOL, Unfortunately, my own clan is rumoured to be part of the daba-dhilifs because of Warlord Qeybdiid who happens to be a favourite buddy of A/Y. He named Qeybdiid the head of the so called Somali Police. This career warlord Qeybdiid and his minority militia who are drawn exclusively from his close cousins costed their clansmen a good name. Somalis judge everything collectively as you know, so, my clan found itself in the list of traitors and I have seen some who support Qeybdiid. History will be unjust to this clan when it lists them among those who saw to Somalia's demise and who placed it in the hands of the Xabashis. The good majority are against this shameful history in the making, least of all, they aren't happy with A/Y and Geedi's senseless indifference to the plight of so many women and children who were forced out of their homes by Ethiopian Artillery. It takes few bad apples to spoil the rest. Each clan have dirties and untouchables in my book, Supporters of Geedi, Supporters of Qeybdiid, those two are in the list of somali scumbugs. Puntlanderska, Iyaga xaaladooda ilaahay uun baa og and to be frank, judging only by what I saw both online(SOL) and elsewhere, and in real life, 90% of them are Pro-A/Y and by Extension Pro-Xabashis. May be kuwa North America are the most corrupted among them and that is why I see this blindness on their part. Dad badanaa ceebeesan.

NAIROBI (AFP) - Journalists in Somalia have never been more targeted since the 1991 collapse of the state's institutions, the London-based rights watchdog Amnesty International said in a statement released Friday. "The situation of journalists in Somalia is currently the worst it has ever been since the disintegration of the Somali state after the overthrow of the Siad Barre government in 1991," it said. The statement comes after the October 19 murder of Bashir Nur Gedi, manager of the popular Shabelle radio network and the eighth Somali journalist killed this year. In its statement, Amnesty urged the country's transitional government to "meet (its) responsibility to protect journalists and media workers from these attacks." The restive Horn of Africa country's capital Mogadishu is rocked by almost daily incidents pitting the embattled Ethiopian-backed government forces against an Islamist-led insurgency. "Intimidation of journalists has become a stratagem by all parties to the conflict in Somalia," Amnesty said. In a statement issued on October 23, the New York-based NGO Human Rights Watch specifically took aim at the transitional government, notably for its frequent closures of media houses. "The Somali government's systematic harassment of journalists, its closures of media outlets, and its failure to investigate the killing of eight journalists have deeply damaged independent reporting in Somalia," it said. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, Somalia -- where a vibrant community of independent journalists had developed amid the chaos -- now ranks as the world's second deadliest country for journalists after Iraq. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071026/wl_africa_afp/somaliaunrestmediarights_071026202326

GENEVA (AFP) - Somalia's government is obstructing the work of aid workers it accuses of "feeding terrorists" as the country grapples with an unprecedented humanitarian and political crisis, an UN envoy said Friday. ADVERTISEMENT Eric Laroche, the UN's resident and humanitarian coordinator for Somalia, told journalists in Geneva that civil war and the worst harvest in ten years had left some 1.5 million people in need of assistance. Civilians are increasingly vulnerable to suicide and roadside bombs, phenomena previously unknown in the conflict but which are "concomitant" with the fighting between government troops and Islamist rebels, Laroche noted. Some 750,000 people have been forced to flee their homes and are internally displaced, often because they belong to a clan that the government deems hostile, he said. "These people are kids, these people are mothers ... we're not talking about combatants," he said. Laroche described meeting one such displaced child at a refugee camp, one of the many squalid settlements mainly in the outskirts of the capital Mogadishu, the epicentre of 16 years of conflict. "I was with a young girl, she was 8 years old. Her arm had been blown off by a rocket which had hit her house. Her father the same day was killed. Her mother the same day was killed. Her sister the same day was killed. And she's a terrorist, according to the government." "This is just manipulation from the part of the government... they don't want us to do our work," Laroche said, adding that he had personally been intimidated and forced to leave one camp by armed men. He stressed that the UN always strives for impartiality in its humanitarian work and would continue its aid efforts despite government harassment. "The principles of the United Nations are humanitarian imperatives, neutrality and impartiality," he said. But Somali government officials rejected the accusations, three days after President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed ordered his forces to free Idris Mohamed Osman, the officer-in-charge World Food Programme office in Mogadishu from a six-day detention. "It is very unfortunate that the UN humanitarian chief is criticising the government," said Somali deputy parliament speaker Mohamed Omar Dalha. "I don't believe the government would get involved in obstruction of aid," he told AFP from the Somali southcentral town of Baidoa. Dalha explained Yusuf's gesture in freeing the WFP staffer was a gesture that his regime would not "obstructs aid work for its people." Osman's arrest forced WFP to halt delivery of food to about 75,000 people in Mogadishu, two days after the operation had resumed after a three-month suspension. As the government forces tackles a deadly insurgency erupted in Mogadishu early 2007 when Islamic militants were ousted, Yusuf is urging parliament to sack Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi for failing in his duties. Underlying the power struggle is the kind of clan rivalry that has fuelled seemingly endless and bloody power struggles since Somalia acquired independence in 1960. The conflict erupted after the 1991 ouster of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre and has defied numerous initiatives to restore lasting in the country of 10 million. The UN expects to appeal for some 400 million dollars (278 million euros) in aid for Somalia for 2008, up from 308 million dollars this year, Laroche explained. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071026/wl_africa_afp/unsomaliaconflictunrestaid_071026211806

The NGOs are doing a good job raising awareness and drawing attention to the matter. This road from Muqdisho to Galkacyo was once safe and cleared of all road blocks. As soon as the TFG came back, they came back with it.

Obviously, I was delusionally hopeful that a bloody warlord would bring change to plighted people and give them hope where there was non. He displaced quarter million of them who live under the trees and pay money for the shade to clan militia, plenty others were buried in graves unidentified after their corpses bloated and decayed in the streets of Muqdisho for weeks on end. The reaction of A/Y supporters like you was to justify shamelessly all that happened, and you still do while you emotionally cry in public about your clan's town take-over. You can not find a single justification for your clansmen's discomfort but have plenty of reasons so bloody cheap for other somali people's misery. Yyou are a contradiction. You even present arguments you vehemently reject as groundless when others presented with regards to Laascaanood. You all suffer from the problem as you are a group of loyal A/Y supporters. It is pathetic and reading you always brings this contemptuous feeling out of me.
