  1. ^ my friend, what is your view on this gaalo/muslim dichotomy. What about other religions and alternative socio-cultural customs. Islam and Christianity are not the only option! if my advice was warranted; its shows Muslims are completely out of the touch with the reality on the ground. of course I am not suggesting that Muslims don't exist but if the world population is almost 7bn then 5.7bn are clearly hell bound according to T-man and his like - which is probably all of this site.
  2. He accused me of being a gaalo once. Can you believe that, I mean what gives him the moral pomposity to say such a thing!
  3. ^ Thank you very much my friend for posting this wonderful and heartfelt film. It was beautiful! A Beirut beauty salon serves as a microcosm of modern society in director Nadine Labakis look at liberated conversation in a conflicted society. Over the course of their day it becomes readily apparent that women are truly the same everywhere, regardless of the society they live in. While single Layale struggles with her growing attraction to a married man, Muslim bride-to-be Nisrine fears that her husband will find out that she has already lost her virginity. As with many women who frequent the salon, Jamale does everything within her power to reverse the visible effects of aging. As Rose laments the fact that she has sacrificed her own happiness in order to care for her older sister, the intimate conversations shared over the course of a typical day reveal just how universal the lives, loves, and concerns of contemporary women truly are. 4. This is what happens when there is cultural fusion. A form of hybridity emerges whether in terms of language or identity.

  8. ^ my friend didn't saado ali recently upset some sections of the somaliland community by claiming that they will come back to the union by force and then dedicate a whole album to this cause! Have you seen the Ruun Xaddi response to this? I love the analogy of '' The mule that feeds with a horse, thinks its self a horse''
  9. My friend, This evidence was conclusive and has a result vindicated me against all those who are saying stuff about me being Marx. Whether you believe is entirely your own choice. But one thing is for certain and that is its true and very conclusive.

  11. These are the kids who act like they are from aboard. They wear like tight clothes, fake trainers and gel their hair!
  12. lol@danger! You are nuts my friend! My friend I am sane and normal just like you. I reckon its also to do with the fact that most of my conversations these days are muted whether on MSN, facebook chat or somaliaonline. talking to myself is my way of expressing something vocal because these days everything is done online, one must be able to say things aloud and express themselves.
  13. This past year I have been acting weird, of course, not in front of others but when I am alone. I have been speaking to myself to the extent that I have invented my own new language. Some of the words have been used so often they now form part of my regular vocabulary when speaking to other people. This usually starts the moments I am alone and I keeping having dialogue with myself and several other people - one of which is an elderly old woman. I am always very carefully not be seen by others but if I am alone then the conversations can last for several heated minutes. I have done research on this and they said it’s normal and usually to do with anxiety. Is this normal? Or I am just stressing over nothing.

  18. You have lost the plot! Which is it the lies or the drugs? As for lies - the evidence is conclusive! As for the drugs, I am not deny that! But name calling is unacceptable.
  19. No No No! You come with an illogical and ineptly structured idea. Why is it helpless when your argument doesn't stand my friend.
  20. Originally posted by ailamos: ^^ it's not an over simplification yaa B... read "homogenous identity" as opposed to the new identity that has emerged in Europe, the Muslims. To the conservative Europeans, Islam is a homogeneous identity, never-mind the differences between Turks, Iranis, Arabs and Africans, they're all "Muslims". So, when I say homogeneous, that's what I mean, the perception from the outside, not the intricate details within. If by homogeneous, you mean white skin colour! Then clearly we need to make the distinctions there. Muslims are not all non-whites. Take the Algerians in France, they look very Caucasian or even the Muslims in Albania, Bosnia and Muslim reverts!

Secular tolerance in Europe is fast becoming a myth and is being replaced by intolerance that is fueled by religious tension. One small correction my friend. Europe is not homogeneous, this is an imagined history and a deliberate distortion of their collective histories! They are all different in terms of ethnicity, religious afflictions or political, social trajectories. We must NOT over-simplify things. Even England is not homogeneous, in its history there have been a myriad and diverse population from the Vikings, to Normans to Jewish, post-colonial Caribbean and Indian sub-continent migration settlements and now Somali diaspora. All these immigrants have contributed towards the make-up of this country. There are similar patterns across the European mainland and there is no such thing as a homogeneous Europe. In fact you would be hard-pressed to find a homogeneous nation anywhere in Europe! The 'othering' you have mentioned is a loose term applied to whoever is the current threat! Its Muslims now but in the past has been used for Blacks, Jews, Catholics and the indigenous population used it for the maunders who came to settle in this country.
