  1. All things Calendar come to mind: Groundhog Day The Day the Earth Stood Still Independence Day Training Day The Day After Tomorrow Die Another Day Employee of the Month A Month of Sundays A Good Year The Year of Living Dangerously The Seven Year Itch LOL @ edible woman. Cara, your avatar is positively frightening. What is it about young, white girls wearing early 20th century dresses that makes them so spooky?
  2. Looks like a public service announcement. God knows that drivers in the Gulf region need it, along with stiffer penalties for their reckless driving.
  3. Cara, obsessing over women's wear and behaviour is the easiest thing to do. To have an agenda for the social, economic, and relative political stability of even a neighbourhood requires forethought, skills, some expertise, and a pooling of resources. Above all, it requires leadership and vision. As odious as I find business terms, women's wear is a low-hanging fruit. Also women's wear and public punishments are the easiest way to mobilize hordes of young, largely illiterate and undereducated men. They simply have little else to offer.
  4. ^ LOOOOL now I have projectile sprite on my keyboard.
  5. Love a good soccer game! It's great to see young Palestinian people enjoying something.
  6. ^ He's sitting down and has the colouring of a year old muqmad, how does he look fit? If the little girl moves suddenly, that arm will come out of its socket
  7. Wow, she looks 12. I shouldn't have had tuna for lunch.
  8. I will bet he is not a day over 75. Since when are nomads obsessed with guinness type of lies? She's 17, old enough to accept or reject this bag of bones. Let's just hope her first born doesn't look too muck like the milkman.
  9. Ibtisam, get some ice quick and put it on the ankle discreetly when sitting down.
  10. Cowke, price-fixing as seeker pointed out is a serious culprit in wheat/bread shortages. The goverment subsidizes bread to the populace which the middle man readily exploits. Their population growth is due to their high birth rate, especially in the rural areas. Subsidies or not, abject poverty is inevitable in a country where most live along a small area along the Nile.
  11. Not surprised at all. Egypt had an economy that was toe-to-toe with South Korea in 1972. In the past 37 years, their population has grown from approx. 30 million to more than 80 million now. There won't be enough wheat in the world to feed them if they continue to grow as they have in 3 short decades.
  12. Che, Ngonge, psshht @ 20% deposits  I get a 5% cut of all pre-sold packages by Hustler & Hustler and 10% of all sales royalties (in exchange for promoting the baby with the divine scribbles). Castro, LOL.
  13. Arabic text scribbled with henna or a crayon on an infant's leg in Russia is the kind of thing that should be laughed at and taunted mercilessly. Look what these hoaxes are doing to Christians peddling toast with faces and Jesus hair shavings on Ebay. Want to see a sign of Allah? Check out the astounding colours of autumn in full bloom now before winter begins. Now those are signs that you defend without sounding like Homer Simpson.
  14. ^ LOL @ Castro If someone hates the bra, wait until they see the BRO
  15. The balloon is empty! Wouldn't want to be his parents today.
  16. Alle Ubahaane, who wouldn't accept Duco? Seeker, thanks! Lots of sound medical advice around here. I will definitely give Topomax a try. Like you, I am weary of side effects and just pissed that Imitrex doesn't work anymore. My hope was to find some alternative therapies but I think that whatever they maybe, they will have to complement medication. Faarax-Brawn, they're much better walaal, thanks for asking.
  17. The only thing I would like to see in a parking lot, especially at big malls, is a sharp shooter on the roof to quickly shoot and kill these offenders: 1. My car is so big, I will park in 2 spots or leave 1 cm between mine and yours. 2. My wife is pregnant and my sympathy pregnancy allows me to park in the designated spot. 3. I'm packing my van with the bells and whistles of middle class (snotty kids and lots of shopping bags), I will need a full 20 minutes to get into the vehicle. 4. I am over 60 and I don't give a damn about anyone. Just try to walk behind or infront of me and I will drag your bleeding, dying body under my wheels. 5. My sports car means I can go 60 in a parking lot. Fcuk this pink nonsense, get rid of the parasites of parking lots
  18. Cara, unfortunately they bottom out my blood pressure but I've heard some good things about them. My only consolation is that short, dark days of winter bring fewer attacks.
  19. Warrior of Light, thanks! NSAIDS were suggested but they've killed my stomach years ago. Imitrex worked like a charm and it is such a shame that it isn't working anymore. Probably need to scan the noggin' or something. Theirry, thanks. I live in the dark when they start and it is probably the only thing that works beyond medication. Jamaal, thank you. Norfsky, exercise is probably good for everything, especially as a preventive measure. It doesn't make a dent in some migraines, though.
  20. ^ Truer words have yet to be spoken. But then I would miss out on all manners of testosterone-infused, sadistic medical advice!
  21. Cara, direct sunlight seems to trigger my most painful ones. Sometimes there are no particular triggers at all.
  22. Sheh, I've been on the phone with acupuncturists all morning and couldn't understand half of the people on the other end. Will find someone who uses electricity and see if they use cupping as well. Thanks! Koolkat, lol @ 'erbs, ahem. Heard they help but wouldn't know how to get my hands on some goddammit.
  23. Ibtisam, amen to the will and letters. I am reluctant to try another prescription drug as the last one had few side effects unlike what I'm reading about the new ones. But it is not as effective anymore. I'll give the acupuncture a try, it couldn't hurt.
  24. LOL @ you people. Tsk, tsk, JB and your one track mind. Seems like Ibtisam is the only one who knows about migraines. Ibti, thanks for the advice. I would love to try acupuncture as it is the only one I haven't tried. How long did the impact last for you? Johnny, what are they saying about digital medicine? Norfsky, clearly you've never had a migraine. The only running you'd fantasize about is out of a window on the 10th floor. @ Ngonge's needle and Nuune's alwaax.
