  1. It's a lack of leadership that put Galkacyo where it is today. With lean and strong leadership, I think it will overcome the insecurities khal khaliyay. Xiinow, it's time for Galkacyo SOLers step to the blade. Will Duke walk the walk so the rest can follow!
  2. NG, not only in Pakistan, but also in Afghanistan. But in our case, Somalia, they seem to crawl in turtle's pace. I can speak at least in PL, where the very same Raasul Kheima that Silanyo has visited as well as Sharqah/kha have promised many projects for PL and has yet to deliver. I can assume it will be the same thing for TFG as well. Let's hope the best.
  3. The more she learns the better she becomes. Keep her busy all the times with things she may feel interesting. Keep up the good work old man!
  4. Awoowe, truck loads have been coming since the collapse of the state, and it only prolongs Somalis dependence on all that's foreign aid. There are so many things they can do to help, starting with improving decaying infrastructure in Somalia/land.. Don't tell me all that UAE can do is to send few boats of drugs and food to Somalia.
  5. Great start. Most of the oldies are gone or no longer use their names, but hope others will contribute to the thread as well.

  8. This has been a long awaited conference and it looked very promising. Wish them the best of luck.
  9. NG, waar North carabi ma yaqaane naga daa Arabs promise all the time, but will they deliver in a real sense? Truck load of aid doesn't cut it.

This last week, akhwaans of different tribal backgrounds have been killed, arrest or handed over to Ethios in Gaalkacayo. Where did you get this news Mr. Che? Yes there were mini religious warfare that has caused great deal of insecurity in Galkacyo in the last couple of weeks, but to make up news of Akhwaans been killed, arrested, and handed over on behalf of Ethios, is just ridiculous. Unless your radar catches some outer news that we don't know of.
  15. Taleexi, ninyahow ma guddiya SSC ayaa mid lagugu daray Kolay waa la isku soo wada noqon xattaa reer Bin-hashimka go'aaya kolay tahay, xumaan haddaan lagu kala tagin waa kheyr. Val, I don't think the state PL was in when Farole took its helm could be called "strong" state that had everything things going on for it, as you put it. The state was in turmoil and its institutions rundown. Today there is security issue that needs to addressed and a lot of things that need to be improved, but I doubt if PL is worse condition than it was 2 and half years ago. And I also dont believe he can be attributed all political climate that is cooking in that corner of the world, as it has multiple dimensions and players. Let's hope things will prevail and peace will be kept.
  16. Nothing more than bargaining chip on their part, but will Farole budge this time?
  17. let's keep this alive and contribute. Here are some of his jokes I found: PROMISES KEPT a friend asked the mulla how old are you? forty replied the mullah. the friend said but you said the samething two years ago ! yes replied the mullah, i always stand by what i have said. DEDUCTIVE REASONING "how old are you, mulla? someone asked, 'three years older than my brother.'how do you know that? 'reasoning. last year, i heard my brother tell someone that i was two years older than him. a year has passed. that means that i am older by one year. i shall soon be old enough to be his grandfather. OBLIGATION nasruddin nearly fell into a pool one day. a man whom he knew slightly was nearby, and saved him. every time he met nasruddin after that he would remind him of the service which he had performed. when this had happened several times nasruddin took him to the water, jumped in, stood with his head just above water and shouted: "now i am as wet as i would have been if you had not saved me! leave me alone.
  18. Oba, I thought you were an adamant admirer of the former warlord turned Mayor, what has changed? I could be wrong, but you were calling him "halyeey" not long ago.
