Originally posted by Laba_Xiniinyood: The foul-mouthed Cadde, whose incumbency achieved little more bolster his capacity for invective, has had his allotment in the power deal. So it is time for fresh ideas and fresh opinions to lead the way - and that is where Mr Nurudin comes in. Unfortunately his knocks are hardly creating any resonance among the masses. There are experienced criminals ready to pounce on this poor soul once he sets foot in Puntland. I would choose him over any other candidate currently campaigning, not because of his (or lack of) credentials or anything as such, but for my desire to deoderize the vitiated atmosphere that the region has become; for my urge disinfect the region of the obstinate souls and their impudence that has defiled and sullied the beauty of the place; and for a hope that a fresh breeze will somehow reconstruct this marred portrait that Puntland has become. But though melodiously warbling on its prominent perch, the young bird must grow some plummage necessary for flight before taking to the skies. That is if is to fly against the seasoned vultures gyrating in swirls above its head. Very well put LX, good points indeed. Fahiye brother, you hardly present any facts as anyone else, we only raised our opinions like you did, and everyone is entitled to their own veiws.. waa intaa un warku... Nuradin to me is an able, young, energtic and eloquent candid fit for the leadership position than most that are competing with him for the hot seat...

Inalilaahi wa' inaa ilayhi Raji'uun, this is scary and disheartening, the sisters seem to have compeletely lost it, they misunderstood the purpose of life and see no reason to live... Ilaahayow adigaa arintaan naga badbaadiyay oo ah kan kaligii wax badbaadiya, 'Allahuma inaa nashkuruka binicmatil Islami, wal-iimaani wasakiinah...' Allagaman brother, no one can cheat death, no matter how sophistiacated or intelligent they may be, that term just doesn't exist. No one can manipulate or escape when the angel of death decends, never and not in a million years, it only wasn't the time... "Idaa Jaa'a ajaluhaa la yasta'khiruuna sacatan wala yastaqdimuun"

^LOol, Kutubka iyo diinta dadkoo dhan bay kadhexeeya, adiguba waad ila wadaagtaa iyo Muslinkoo dhan ee kabax sheekadaa haku marsoonee Do you have anything to answer my question, what is the relevence for celebrating this day, is it our Indepence day? why celebrate Barre's day and not Adan Ade or Abdirashid since they were all Somali Presidents, was Barre any better than them that we ought to celebrate his day or was he worse as history witnesses, isn't the fact that this day was celebrated in Somalia because Barre's regime forced upon the Somali people to do so.

21 October waa Maalintii Siyaad Barre wadanka afganbi kuqabsaday soo ma ahayn, what is the point of celebrating this day yaa nuune, it's not the day when the Somali got independence is it? Nor was it a day when the Somalis willingly elected their President. Mase odayaasha waxaad kujirtaa kukoray heesaha kacaanka oo xiisahaa kuqabtay.... We have had three Presidents since the independece, the first Somali President was the legend Adan Adde and who was also the first African statesman to leave power peacefuly, the other was the charismatic and democratically elected President in 1967, Abdirashid. The third General Barre, who as we know grapped power by force, thus if the Somalis were to celebrate a day in which one of these men grapped power, who do you think better deserves. I think this 21st October day is nonesense, irrelevant and a day which the Somali peoople was forced to celebrate by the Barre regime.

Its only you Fahiye that sees it that way and you can keep it to yourself... Everyone that have talked about Nuradin, anyone who worked with him, from the a Member of British Parliament, Jeremy Corbyn to Goldman Environmental Prize winner, Fatima Jibriil and Somali ministers to ordinary SOLers here have praised and support the man's endeavor to lead Puntland. Nuradin once again rocked and hugely welcomed, Londoners flocked the house in huge numbers, the house was overcrowded beyond imaginable, some audience were taken out for safety reasons while almost double the number that was inside the whole of people were stopped from getting in as there was no room for anymore. High profile guests attended which include: Prof. Jurrille, former TFG minister Goldman Prize winner, Faaduma Jibriil General Abdulahi Isse C/salaan Salwe Ahmed Said Kaarshe, Former Education minister during good days of Somalia Jeremy Corbyn, an MP for Islington North. And many other wise old traditional leaders and Educated fellas.

And the speaker, horta Nancy Pelosi waa democrat soo ma ahan, this Yankee politikz is crazy to follow yet too exciting. Che, I am not from Mpls brother we were only getting the reports, many SOlers from there have attended and can give you full report if you wish like Gheele.T and others, but overall it went well and was run smoothly, the cadidate spoke to the people and yes, both the Senator and Congressman of MN have met Nuradin and attended the meeting.
