The males in our community are violent thugs. They will never change and the only thing they're good at is killing each other.

Americans and Brits do not see you as clan XYZ. They see you as black men and when they get to know you, they will see as a pirate and terrorist Somali. Our ethnic name has a very very bad reputation all over the world. Feeling superior over one another when we're collectively at the bottom of every society we live in. Pretty hilarious.

No disrespect but Somalis in the US behave in the most dispicable shameful ways. The things that come out of the US and especially Minnesota is so damn embarrassing. I would not be proud to admit to be the majority in the US. Thanks to them all Somalis are labelled terrorists, pimps and prostitutes. * Puts head down in shame* Furthermore, these refugees from Minnesota and the US are ALWAYS in the media complaining and causing so much trouble. All over the internet in American immigration/refugee/muslim blogs, Somalis receive a bright spotlight. Our brothers and sisters in America need to change their ways. For such a small community, why do we commit so much crime? Please someone answer that question. Some people will say because we're poor and came here as refugees. That is BS! There are so many refugee communities that have been here for years and they do not make headlines. There is something psychologically wrong with us collectively. We have a very violent culture that creates these issues. Maybe all the women should be sterilized so that we don't breed these future criminals. I don't know why I was cursed to come from this community. I could've been born to any ethnicity and yet god made me born to the worst community.

The parents in our community do not know how to raise their sons, FACT! I may not have children but that doesn't mean that I cannot criticize parents who raise drug dealing sons and violent criminals. There is something mentally wrong with the males in our community. She's telling the truth. She just shouldn't have done it by naming and shaming. She could've talked to influential people to make some sort of grassroot effort to stop these demeaning practices. Other communities have a culture of caring about one's reputation by the type of job they have and where they live. Indo-yere people are well known to compete with one another on who has the better home and who's more educated than who. It just seems that most of our people have a ghetto mentality and don't have an amitious bone in their body. So unfortunate.

Sadly, youtube seems to be a place where people expose their shame with no consideration. Do people know its a public forum? That anyone from all different communities can search and see the filth that these flight 13s and other disgusting fobs like to put up. There are times where I just don't understand these people. I don't know any other community that puts so much energy in proving people right about our uncivility and general backwardness. Sigh.

The community here in Canada is having a very bad media run as of late due to some dumb grown *** men committing crime. To be honest we bring this negative attention on to ourselves and if only we were like other communitie who keep out of the spotlight instead of being attention whores.

Yes, the drop out rate is bad however the highest drop out rate are the Portuguese, Carribbeans, Spanish speaking people and then Somalis. Why is this guy acting like his situation is rare? There are thousands of Somalis who lived their lives morally just like he did if not more. Does he want a cookie? He needs to get over himself because he's not special.

^ That picture was completey unneccessary. I am aware of the fact that Somalia has a lot of problems. However, what I have an issue with is when people, namely Somali models, who are given media attention and instead of using that time to let people know about the Somali culture in a different light than what the media gives, they portray themselves as these helpless victims so that white people can feel sorry for the poor Africans. Despite popular opinion, Somalia is just one of many countries that does partake in female circumcison. Sudan, a majority muslim country, also does this yet they're not demonized to the same extent we are and I am bloody sick of it. I am tired of Somali women telling the whole world about their private parts. I am tired of people making jokes about Somalis that we cut women's clits off. I am tired of co-workers asking me if I had it done. I don't want to be associated with it anymore.

Can someone explain to me why female circumcision has become synonymous with Somalis. So many other African countries do this horrible practice yet Somalis are the only ones demonized.

Sorry, but I know the way my people look and she doesn't look it at all. How many Somalis her age were born in Sudan? It just doesn't add up. Do you know how many Africans lie about being Somali to gain asylum? Too many to count.
