  10. I would say the following... .Pray: Just takes afew means to do it but it cleanses your heart and keeps imaan intact and always fear Allah · Gratitude: It is impossible to have a heart full of misery and a heart full of gratitude at the same time, so be grateful and find reasons for being grateful. · Let go and forgive: There are scientific studies that show us that, when we hang on to stuff that has happened to us, it forms the basis of disease later on. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. · Have a strong sense of purpose and meaning in life, be connected: Do things that make you feel you are contributing to a bigger picture - that you are making a difference. Make sure your head and your heart are connected and that your heart is connected with other people's hearts - this helps you live longer and feel happier. · Laugh at yourself and with others more: Everyone knows this but we don't do it enough. · Lifelong learning: The more we see life as an opportunity for growth, development and to learn, the more we blossom. · Be difficult to offend: Have a thick skin. Be a good finder - find good in all situations and all people. Actively look for it. · Stay well: Exercise and eat well. · Have a good relationship with yourself and then others: Are you kind to yourself? Do you like and respect yourself and treat yourself well? Because if you don't, you probably won't be able to do that with others. · Be resilient: Have the ability to bounce back after life's challenges. .Most of all be yourself: and not what others want you to be NAME YOUR SECRETS OF HAPPINESS ..THATS IF U R HAPPY......IF NOT THEN TRY THE ABOVE
  11. Assalamu Allaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters: Just a little reminder LAYLATUL QADR (The Night of Power) Laylatul Qadr is the crowning glory of the holy month of Ramadhaan. It is associated with the sending down of the Qur'an Majeed, the last Book of Allah on His last Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam), for the guidance of mankind. The Qur'an Majeed describes this Night. "We have indeed revealed this (message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to you what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the Angels and the Spirit (Jibraeel) by Allah's permission, on every errand: Peace! This until the rise of Morn!" (597: V1-5). The Night of Power is the night of spiritual bliss. Our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is reported to have said concerning Ramadhaan: "Verily this month has come to you; and therein is a night which is better than a thousand Months. Whosoever is deprived of it, is deprived of all good; and none is deprived of its good except a totally unfortunate person". (Ibn Majah). "Whosoever stands up (in prayer) at the Night of Power out of faith and hopeful of reward, all his past sins will be forgiven." (Targhib) Better than a thousand months A thousand months are equivalent to 83 years and 4 months. Fortunate is the person who spends this night in prayer. The man or woman, who prays for the whole night during this Night, will deserve blessings and reward for the period as if he or she had been praying for eighty three years and four months consecutively. Since the Night of Power is better than one thousand months no one can actually measure the extent as to how much better it is. Exclusive The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Laylatul Qadr has been bestowed by Allah to my Ummah (People). It was not given to any people before this." (Dur-Mansoor). How manifest and replete the special bounties and mercies of Allah Ta'ala are upon this Ummat is quite really beyond imagination. It will therefore be extremely foolish to allow ourselves to be deprived of these great blessings at the expense of sheer laziness and a few hours of extra sleep. Which Night is it? Although there are different reports in different traditions regarding the exact night, it is almost unanimous that the blessed night occurs in one of the last ten nights of Ramadhaan and more probably in one of the last ten odd nights i.e. 2lst, 23rd, 25th 27th or 29th night. The popular opinion is, however, in favour of the 27th Night of Ramadhaan but that is not absolutely certain. The traditions indicate that it is to be sought in one of the last ten nights and referrably in the last three odd nights. It was therefore the practice of the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) and his companions to make I'tikaaf in the Mosque for the whole time offering Divine service during the last ten days of Ramadhaan. Hazrath Aisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) reported that the Apostle of Allah said: "Search for the Blessed Night in the odd (nights) from the last ten (nights) of Ramadhaan" (Bukhari). Hazrath Aisha has narrated another saying: "I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me if I were to find a Night of Power, what should I recite therein?" Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) advised her to recite: Al-laa-hum-ma in-na-ka 'a foow-wan tu-hib-bul-'af wa fa-fu 'an-ni. O Allah! You are Forgiving, You love forgiveness, so forgive me. (Bukhari). Special attention should therefore be given to the excessive recitation of this dua on the blessed night. Furthermore one may engage in lengthy rakaats of Tahajjud salaat, Tilaawat of the Qur'an¬ Dua, Zikr, etc. The worship and the vigil of the Night of Power are a treat to the soul. The heart tends to melt into tears of heartfelt gratitude. The body is in a state of angelic ecstasy The soul strives to reach nearer to Almighty Allah. In this holy month of Ramadhaan let us strive to seek the Night of Power and its bliss. May Allah reward us with His bountiful blessings. Aameen. I'TIKAAF BENEFITS This great Sunnah of our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is so replete with spiritual benefits that a brief treatise like this can never do justice to enumerating them. Perhaps the greatest and the actual motivation behind it is the search for Laylatul Qadr. In I'tikaaf, even one's sleeping is regarded as Ibaadat, hence making it so much easier to gain the benefits of the blessed night. Furthermore one gains the opportunity of emulating Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) concerning whom Hazrath Aisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) reports: "When the last ten Nights of Ramadhaan would come, Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) would spend the whole night in Ibaadat. He would exert himself tremendously and even wake up his family members." (Bukhari, Muslim). She even reports that he would never exert himself in worship at any other time like he did on this occasion (Muslim). BEAUTY OF I'TIKAAF The example of the one who resides in the Masjid in I'tikaaf is like a person, who having gone to certain place for something remains there until it is granted. Allamah Ibn Qaiyyim (R.A.) writes that the actual aim of I'tikaaf is to divert the heart from everything except Allah and to join it with Allah alone, thereby forming a complete spiritual connection with Him. In essence all love and desire becomes centred around Allah alone, one's only true Helper and Protector. VIRTUE OF I'TIKAAF One cannot possibly imagine the tremendous virtue and reward promised for I'tikaaf. Just to mention a few Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Whomsoever performs I'tikaaf for a day thereby seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah will open three trenches between him and the fire of Hell, the width of each being the distance between heaven and earth." (Tabraani). It is also reported: "Whoever performs I'tikaaf for the final ten days of Ramadhaan, for him is the reward of two Hajj and two Umrahs." (Kashful Ghumma). When Allah Ta'ala is prepared to grant us so much in return for a little sacrifice on our part, then it will surely be a great loss if we fail to avail ourselves of the opportunity. May Allah Ta'ala give us the Taufeeq to practice. Aameen

  16. It takes two to create a great Nest….It takes two to be happy….It takes two to ride the waves of sadness, disappointments and ofcouse Happiness….It takes two to bring great kids to this world and to raise them and most of all it takes two to be utterly and absolutely in love.. All I see is people pointing fingers and thinking its only men’s fault that marriages break. Believe it or not no sane man can walk away from a true angel....Now men marrying more women doesn’t say much for our women either…Surely its not only because of lust but because they are not happy. Stats suggest that there are far too few good men available compared to the women. So why not pass the love around. Men, you have to stand up and be confident. It will show through before you even speak! When you do speak, speak your mind. It will gain respect! You cannot suppress yourself! However, ladies… if you want a REAL man, you have to trust him enough to be just that. If he loves you, he will not become your worst fear, and suppress you. He will honor the vows he took and cherish you. Then, you have to return that with honor as well. After that… you still have one duty left. You have to teach that same thing to your children. That is the only way to break the nasty chain that we see a lot of young people adapting...growing to hate.
  17. Here is an impressive site for those of you who wanna say ... Xabibi/tie

    Qur'aan

Brother Nur..you are right in saying what you said and to certain extent, not many people often consider as Moslems is an obligation. However, as usual We can all pray and hope that we all realise the importance of the Quraan and its reverence. In brief, the essence of all the rules of reverence is to consider the Glorious Qur'an as the words of the Almighty Allah, Whom we worship, and as the Word of One Whom we love and seek. Those who have ever experienced love know how worthy of adoration is a letter or speech of the beloved. The ecstatic raptures caused by such a communication are beyond all rules of propriety because, as it is said: "Love itself will teach one the rules of conduct in love." So, while reading the Qur'an, if we attempt to visualize the real beauty and limitless bounty of our Beloved Allah. Our hearts will be swayed by emotions of heavenly love. At the same time, the Qur'an is the Word of the Master of masters and the commands of the Emperor of all kings. It is the law promulgated by the All-powerful Monarch. We should, therefore read the Qur'an with the emotions both of love and awe. It is said that whenever Hadrat 'Ikramah' (Radhi Allaho anho) (may Allah be pleased with him) opened the Book for recitation, he became unconscious and fell down. Then he would utter, "This is the Word of my Allah, this is the Word of my Allah." The aforesaid contains briefly the spirit of the requirements of decorum as written in great detail by the Muslim scholars. It will further be explained in the following paragraphs. In short, a Muslim should read the Book of Allah not just as a servant, but as a slave in the spirit of complete humility towards his Lord, Master and Benefactor. The 'Sufia' (plural of 'sufi'-mystic) have written that, if a person feels his shortcomings in exercising due respect and reverence while reciting the Qur'an, he will continue to progress along the path of nearness to Almighty Allah. But a person who regards himself with approval or pride will not advance further. Rules of Reverence for reading the Holy Qur'an After cleaning the teeth with 'miswak' (a green twig of special varieties of trees used for brushing the teeth) and 'wudu' (ablution), one should sit in a quiet place with grace and humility and face towards 'Qiblah' (direction towards K'abah in Mecca). Then, with an attentive heart, deep devotion and zest befitting the occasion, one should recite, imagining all the time that he is reciting it to Almighty Allah. If one understands the meaning, one should pause and reflect on 'ayaat' (plural of 'ayat'- a verse of the Qur'an) of promise and mercy and should beg for His forgiveness and compassion. On 'ayaat' of punishment and admonition, one should seek His refuge, as except Him there is no Helper. On ayaat pertaining to His Majesty and Sanctity, one should say "Subhan Allah" (Glory to Allah). If one does not spontaneously shed tears reading the Book, one must induce oneself to weep a little. For a lover, the moments of greatest pleasure are those when, In the presence of his beloved, he is full of self-reproach and shedding tears profusely. One should not read fast unless one desires to memorize it. The Qur'an should be placed in a slightly elevated position on a wooden stand or a pillow. One should not talk to others during recitation. If one is forced by necessity to speak to someone, it should be done after first closing the Book, and then recite 'Ta'awwudh' (seeking refuge of Allah against Satan), before reading again. If people nearby are occupied in their work, reading in a low voice is appreciated otherwise reading loudly is more rewarding. The 'Masha'ikh' have mentioned six external and six internal rules of reverence for reading the Holy Qur'an, which are given below: Rules of External Reverence (1) Perform 'Wudu' and then sit facing Qiblah in an extremely dignified manner. (2) Do not proceed fast, but read with measure and correct pronunciation. (3) Try to weep, even if you have to compel yourself to do so. (4) The response to 'Ayat' of mercy or of punishment should be as explained above. (5) Reading should be in a low voice, if insincerity is apprehended on your own part or disturbance is caused to others. Otherwise read in a loud voice. (6) Read in a melodious voice, because there are numerous 'ahadith' laying emphasis on this. Rules of Internal Reverence (1) The heart should be full of the glory of Qur'an i.e. realizing how sublime it is. (2) Bear I the heart the Loftiness, Majesty and Magnificence of Almighty Allah, Whose Revelation the Qur'an is. (3) The heart should be free from distraction and doubts. (4) Dwell upon the meanings and enjoy reading it. Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) once spent the whole night reading over and over again the following 'ayat': "If Thou should chastise them, they are Thy servants, and if Thou should forgive them, Thou art the Mighty, the Wise (v: 118) Once, Hadrat Sa'id ibn-e-Jubair (Radhi Allaho anho) spent the whole night repeating the following 'ayat': "And withdraw aside today, O guilty ones! (XXXVI: 59). (5) Submit your heart to the subject matter of the verses you are reading. For instance, on 'ayat' containing a message of mercy, the heart should be filled with delight. And on 'ayat' of chastisement, the heart should tremble with awe. (6) The tears should be made as attentive as if Almighty Allah Himself is speaking and the reader is listening to Him. May Allah, out of His mercy and kindness, grant all of us the ability to read the Qur'an according to these rules of reverence.
