  1. lool...is this guy fo real? pal talk, you know this ain't the jokes forum right?
  2. Soul_Searcher, thanks for the post sahiib, its lovely to see this women's work. I'll follow her journal too from now on.
  3. horn, Sometimes I find myself trying to brake down my postings for you, seems in your case a hint or hints will not due the trick. How quickly I forget the futility of this endeavor.
  4. Che, You’re gonna have to do better than overlook my postings if you are to criticize what I write. I know you might be trying to be fair by responding to everybody on this topic, but sahiib: 1-I never claimed to represent the interest or speak for the people of SS&H, for the most part I actually stayed out of this pointless argument. 2-I greatly appreciate the lessons of history in terms of humanity and its socio-political problems. I think a great deal can be learned from historical events, because as humans we often tend to make the same mistakes. But to discredit this attempt, you came up with something as superficial as “Pakistan n India are pointing nukes at each other” and how is this relevant again? Please don’t just reply for the heck of it, or for some attempt at impartiality.
  5. very well put Mr.Oodweyne, your message is indeed LOUD and clear . Dinaax I enjoyed your poetic passages, I was wondering where I can find some of these passages you quoted in their full lenght of poems. I would very much like to learn more about this art form that was used for many things including political history in our country.
  6. I declare Klitshko the unofficial winner, he deserved it.
  7. True that Baaniyal, but what country would they represent? Spain, Brazil, France, Portugal or England..
  8. lol@banniyal, that ain't got nothing to do with it sonny. You right though, may foe rest in peace. I would a like to see Cameroun win that game in his memory, the fact they where all wearing his name was nice still...
  9. The delegates also said the transitional government would start urgent talks with Somaliland which broke away form Somalia in 1991. Here comes the test for Riyaale.
  10. What can I say, Mr.Oodweyne stated all the facts necessary in this topic. I think this is an important paragraph you might have overlooked Hornafrique Lastly, even the act of the union produced by the british somaliland parliamentarians, had been decisively rejected by the people of somaliland in that referendum of 1961, so again technically the promulgation of the union was not consummated, because the people by their action or Verdict are last "Decider" in-terms of that much-debated act of union between the two states and whether it's legally and technically sound or "Ratified", and sadly for somali-weyn crowd, the somaliland citizens had overwhelmingly with a clear voice "Rejected" the purported "Acts Of Union" in any version of it -i.e. the northern version, the southern version, or for that matter any future versions you could care to think of it- between the Somaliland State and the Somalia State. here's a segment of an article written by Mr.Ahmed Hirsi that reffers to this paragraph: .......... Mr. Hassan Let me illustrate what I have in mind and give you couple classic cases as the desolation of the Somaliland peoples begun to mount from the onset, in 1961 young military officers attempted to withdraw Somaliland from Somalia. The officers were captured and put to trial, on the charges of treason. The Court acquitted all the officers because the court had no jurisdiction over Somaliland and recognised Somaliland as a separate state due to lack of an act of union joining the two merged states Somaliland and Somalia. Joining sessions of two legislative assemblies of the respect states never ratified the act of union. The same year, a draft constitution of the two states was put to a referendum. However, the people of Somaliland rejected the constitution, the percentage of the voters against was as follows: Hargiesa 89%, Barbera 81%, Burco 77%, Erigavo 73%. The vast majority of people Somaliland rejected that constitution. The union between Somaliland and Somalia was illegal and state within a state.
  11. hornafrique, First off all, if you are to be taken seriously, quit demeaning my country with quotation marks and get over your hate for the sake of decent convo. Secondly I already hinted at the fact that a few (probably ONE) country have the political power to take such measures to recognize our Sovereignty. Any UN recognition wouldn't really be "thanks to the UN" but more of the efforts of ONE or maybe even TWO world powers. The wahabi bedouins would have nothing to do with it and neither would the amhari neighboors, the reer Djibouti weaklings or any other insignificant members of the UN you can think of (includig TNG government ). They key is the 5 permanent security council members. Just stating some true facts about world politics my friend
  12. horn, A.J.Timcadeh a.k.a the grey beard pirate has got a point. In my last point I asked you what the example of the TNG tells you about International recognition hoping you would come to the obvious conclusion that it means very little if anything at all. If the World Hyper Power (US)recognizes Somaliland tomorrow, what do you think will happen with the rest of the world?? Thats right my friend, they will all fall in line. Of course you do have a point about the UN, because this weakling organisam would be used as a launch pad for any US plan for the sake of "multilateralism". Give a few pennies to some starving african countries to buy their votes , you know how it works sahiib.
  13. hornafrique, what is the source of this union law? which jurisdiction signed the treaty? did the two legislative assemblies of the respected states sign on to it? "That is in the mind of a few, confused persons" you keep telling yourself that, if it helps you sleep at night.
  14. For obvious reasons I favored Cameroon to take this cup, but les bleus came out on top. Allez les bleus, allez les bleus ALLEZ!! VIVE LA FRANCE
  15. lol@northerner I like playing in the mid-field anyway. But I'm not sure about Clown as a coach, we don't wanna turn into a joke of a team.
  16. What good is a law of Union, when that Union no longer exists?
  17. Sophist, regardless of who’s account you’re using, putting words in my mouth will not strengthen your weakly rebuttals. I never compared SS&H to Kashmir in my posting, rather I was referring to the exchange of populations that took place among mainland India and Pakistan on religious affiliation. If you didn’t really understand what I wrote then you shouldn’t be so quick to jump the gun.
  18. A.J.T, Mobb is joking with you sahiib.
  19. loooool.. this was in Kenya right? Look at the faces of the somalis? they seem fascinated to see all those pigs Of all the things that could go wrong in a peace conference between somalis, who would've guessed an invasion of pigs or boars???
  20. Mobb, it's all good sahiib, I shake off comments like that niyoo it don't phase me. On a more serious note though, I think most of us here agree that war is not good for the people of SS&H and no matter the outcome there are no winners in war. That being said I have to admit the future looks kind of dim concerning this particular issue of SS&H. I have a feeling war will be inevitable and thousands of civilians will be displace across a political and geographically divide (whatever that might be). Kind of like the case of India and Pakistan, which I'm sure some of you are aware of. Back when Pakistan separated from India after the war, hundreds of thousands of people where displaced both ways simply because of religious affiliation (Hindu and Muslim) and some it was also tribal. Regrettably the same type of scenario might take place with Somaliland and Somalia (Puntland region), but in our case it will mostly be tribal. I'm taking note from the nomad sayfulaah-almasluul who said we should learn from history naw mean
  21. moob, lol@territorial integrity, you mean that of Somaliland right? Either way I'm glad to see we agree that war would be the worst thing for the people residing in SS&H.
  22. My portuguese friend always showed me the Fifa world ranking and claimed Somalia had a team. Of course it was always ranked last or before last IN THE ENTIRE WORLD(next to Djibouti ). I use to tell him to quit that non-sense Somalia has no team because of war but I guess its true...lol. What a joke. I think ghana will SLAUGHTER this so-called Somalia team look out for a new African record for MOST GOALS in a single game....lol don't mean to sound so synical but its true. Specially with the young upcoming players from Ghana. Remember they won the under 21 world cup a few years ago?? Thats the same group of people coming up now, I hope they qualify for the world cup, I also hope for a miracle and the Somalia team scores 1 goal...at least to save face na mean?...lol
  23. Horn, Brother there is no need for an argument, but it would be wise if you refrained from using the word "states", "regions" would be a more intelligent term to use. lol..more intelligent? so it's more intelligent to be in line with your thoughts I suppose?
  24. lol@bashi, I see you took advantage of this oppurtunity to touch on many unrelated topics to that which I replied. I'm starting to notice a trend among some of the pro-unity nomads, they keep relentlessly arguing about Somaliland's right to sovereignty even when an unrelated matter is being pointed out. I didn't comment on SS&H, Ethiopia, qabiil etc.... I commented on what I perceived where war mongoring comments on your part, and in that long reply you failed to really address that matter. In this quote it seems you still fantasizing about bringing Somaliland under the Somaliweyn umbrella by force. Finally, the most interesting issue is how Somali State led by a group of leaders with tainted credentials will deal with stubborn, determined tribe that won’t recognize them, and has never took part of reconciliation effort? Whitout worrying about qabiil allegiance iiyo wax anaa loo jogiin, I was just letting you know a war does not favour Puntland in terms of pure Military might. So ease up on the rhetoric.
  25. What do you people think of the sanctions on live stock that were imposed on Somaliland by the arab countries? namely Saudi Arabia. Check the diagram below to see the decrease in live stock export in 98. This has little significance in the present day economy of the country, but it is still a sore point between our nation and the wahabi government.
