  1. Unless you want to be subjected to possible libel/slander/defamation proceedings..I wouldn't touch this one. Nothing more to say on the subject, really.

Thank your for your warm welcome sister and thank your for the advice. Ya YA practice what you preach, Aaron.. . Is your christian name not against your principles as a Muslim? ps. congrats on stepping up and looking after your kid walaal. The majority of men walk away from marriage and children. It is uncommon for a [somali] man to be a single father. It's so odd in this day and age! Kids almost always go with the mom unless she is dead, or crazy. Goodluck brother, Allaha kula koriyo.

  5. After six months , Ruun got suspicious. I would be very wary of a grown woman that would be in a relationship that long, and not demand to see ALL of him. I would think it should be demanded by the first or second night at the latest. Maxay inta u ag fadhiday?

  7. My impression is that for many men, money equals power. So if the woman makes more money, she has more power, therefore more independance, therefore, he concludes she does not need him. I like the stories my Granma used to tell us, apparently she made more money than my Grandpa. She was a business woman, an avid knitter .. she had enough skills to whip up decorative pieces made of unique garments and kuulo. They were always sold out as quickly as she could bring them in to market. Ayeeyo's capital was growing slightly when she met Awoowe. Waxay dhihi jirtay "anoo l-a-c-c-a-g leh baan guursaday lacag, caskari buu aha, hal alif buu ahaa.." She was independent and self sufficient in the 40's. Masha Allah! [RIP]
  8. ^ well, you're the mouse dear friend.
  9. I think for 17½, you're smarter than most 35 year olds out there.

Aniga koleey "anoo ku han-weyn baad, halboolaha i gooysoo..warbaa iima haysid-ee" Now should I stir the tea clockwise or anti- clockwise? Would you like biscuits with your tea and would that be home made or shop bought? Or if it is too near your dinner time perhaps you would prefer nice, warm glass of milk? yes? Hub hub hada, get in the kitchen.

Ha iga qoslin! if they can do without, then why all the preoccupation about men? I don't think a woman's life is complete without a man! the same is true with men; but at least we don't pretend it is not so. uh what kinda of a comment is that? Sure we can! Of course, to the best of my knowledge, no women have actually died from a lack of men. Oh, and before you start that "that's because you're an ugly, miserable, lonely & unwanted creature " garbage, check my FaceB , cuz it ain't so..

  16. Originally posted by grasshopper: Is there such thing as too young to wear the hijab? I was just going through posts and I saw another member's signature which had a small girl wearing the hijab. that brought me back to the time I visited Somalia and I saw all these little girls (children no older than 9) wearing hijab as part of their school uniform. a 7-year-old wearing the hijab...to me, that's a bit off. I'm not trying to be the devil's advocate or anything; I'm just sincerely curious what you guys think. No girl is ever too young for a hijab. It's better to teach them young and get them in line, so that they don't feel embarrassed by it when they're older. Practice makes perfect! Looking back, I grew up in a really great home, but my dear parents have done me a grave injustice by not instilling the love of the hijab into me in my younger age. Wearing it wouldn't have been this constant struggle I continue to battle to this day had I grown accustomed to it. May Allah make it easy for us [non-wearers], Insha Allah. ps: is it just me or looks like that little girl in Adam's sig. is wearing a towel on her head? If it's hijab that's one heavy one. Muxuu madaxa huray maskiinada yar toloow!

Somaliland also maintains a good security relationship at the border with Djibouti although the two countries do not agree in the political arena. The only problem that Somaliland has is in the eastern part of the country where there has been clashed with Somalia. In the recent months, that dispute has decreased and the tension is going down. 19. The men who pulled up in three white pickup trucks were looking for Patson Chipiro, head of the Zimbabwean opposition party in Mhondoro district. His wife, Dadirai, told them he was in Harare but would be back later in the day, and the men departed. An hour later they were back. They grabbed Mrs Chipiro and chopped off one of her hands and both her feet. Then they threw her into her hut, locked the door and threw a petrol bomb through the window. The killing last Friday – one of the most grotesque atrocities committed by Robert Mugabe’s regime since independence in 1980 – was carried out on a wave of worsening brutality before the run-off presidential elections in just over two weeks. It echoed the activities of Foday Sankoh, the rebel leader in the Sierra Leone civil war that ended in 2002, whose trade-mark was to chop off hands and feet. here This is just so horrible.
