  1. Happy to see you alive, JB! Intii dhimatana Allaw naxariisto. Anyone who thought prior to this morning that SL would not be a target at some time is naive. Markaad cadow kal-kaal tahay wax kasto diyaar u noqo. I also feel sorry for the qaxooti families for they will be seen as the guilty ones when they had nothing to do with it. Hopefully common sense will prevail in this situation.
  2. I believe it was the great Sayid, Allahu Yarhama Rahameen, who once said this: "Waa idin dagaayaa kufriga, ad u dabcaysaane. dirhankuu idiin qubahayaad, dib u go'aysaan e. marka hore dabkuu idinka dhigin, dumar sidiisiiye. marka xiga daabaqadda yuu, idin dareensiin e. marka xiga dalkuu idinku oran, duunyo dhaafsadae. marka xiga dushuu idinka rari, sida dameereede." Bear ^ that in mind next time you hear any loose babble that suggests 'Ethiopia is working towards a peaceful resolution of our crisis.' I think history can show us so much about where they stand; against us! Pitting us against each other and keeping us divided, is a game plan they promised to honor some years ago. Ninkii wax ka sugaa khasaar. Plan-ku waa "dhereg oo aarso" inay marba cid ku tiraa. They'll more than likely replace the current puppet with another one from the "Galmudug" regions. The age old addage: "and Then they Came FOR Y* O* U" comes to me mind. Xeryahii qaxootiga lagu qixi lahaa hala diyaarsado.
  3. Well said, GJ & Choco. the so-called Sunnah was some 1400 years ago. Part of the sunnah is to use camels as transportation and to go to war with swords right? so why do they use cars and Ak47? I heard the shariah was written by some Arabs 100 years or so after the death of the prophet and they had some kind of scholarship called Ijtihad which was meant to elaborate and adjust some edicts? and that continued to some 300 years... how come it didn't go on, so they could get on with the modern world of today? anyways, we live in a modern, civilized and technologically advanced world. Some primitive cultures need to be thrown and shunned and really stoning was done in the stone ages. By the way, everyone interprets religion to their own advantage and understanding. Acuudubilahi Mina Shaydaani Rajeem. Only the mouth pieces for Satan would say that.. Islam has not changed brother, it's been the same, year after year after year..some faux wadaado have made changes. They wrote their own rules for 'modern' life. That's why we have this history of hurt and pain, killing and death. By the way, what is it you like about the 'modern world of today' and I'm not refering to advances in medicine, science, and technology?

    Hajj

Blessed, thanks sweety, how are the little ones? . Simply going to the masjids and hearing the Qur'an recited makes me tremble and shake. Subhaanalaah, imagine hajj! One day I'A, I hope we all complete this pillar.

  7. Inaa Lilaahi wa ina Ilayhi raajacoon. While I'm not opposing the Islamic Sharia, it's cruel and inhuman to punish the poor and powerless while there are more pressing matters than who screws what. I can think of a million other worse things that can be addressed on a daily basis. There would be no end to the list!! Sharciga sidiisa wuxuu qabtaa dadka masaakiinta, qabiilaayda ah  . I doubt if they would go after Ms. Dhuxuloow had she born into a prominent armed group.
  8. JB, the girls in your post don't look like twins let alone the real Idil & Ayaan. Idil&Ayaan: ^ Masha Allah, I wish them success in their clothing line. By the way JB, the girls are off limits. Indhahaaga nooga leexi!

    Hajj

Masha Allah, sister Sh&D. JZK. you think the power to wear hijab, or to increase your taqwa and haya is from you? it isnt, its from Allah swt, and He gives and guides whomever He wills, so ask Allah. No. I know it's all in Allah's hand and chooses whom to guide or misguide. I'A when it's my time, my heart will open up to my deen. In the meantime I'll keep praying. edit: Che, now you're talking! maxa saas kuu diiday? I was sick to my back teeth when I saw your little ménage à trois predicament in my "hajj" thread. Thanks anyways.
  17. Well done, Ibti! And I wish you all the best. Now go get married before you intimidate poor Farahs..

    Hajj

Thanks for your heartfelt responses everyone [minus] Che. Personally, I don't think I'm ready yet. I feel the need to strengthen my deen and my relationship with Allah first. The way I see it is, if you're not ready to follow Islam in whole ie; wear the jalbaab if you're a woman [not scarves and skirts], not leave the house w/o muhrim, not work outside the home where non-muhrim men are, etc etc.. there's no point going to hajj asking for your sins to be erased if you're not prepared to do what is commanded of you to the fullest. Waad soo noqotay meeshaadii baad ka sii dhuratay, it doesn't even make sense. May Allah make it easy for all of us.

    Hajj

^ nothing morally impure, just pretty ordinary [fun] way. I asked this q because I've just finished reading Abu-Salman's 'hijaab' thread. In it, it had this verse: “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way ). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” Hal il inaad wax ka eegto hadaanad diyaar u ahayn, maxaa dhacaayo?

If one is not ready to change their ways after doing Hajj, will their hajj be accepted?
