I started takin' a criminology course and believe me I learned a lot better about medias.Its true dat we rely on medias through the net,TV,radio and newspapers but its up to us to choose wat kind of useful informations we'd like to keep in our mind. Let me give u an example,sum of u may have noticed on TV dat street crimes are often committed by blacks,we assume dat shootings,gangs violence occurrin' are always related to black people and thus medias give us the wrong perception dat blacks are nuttin'but criminals. Well in fact,street crimes are not often committed by blacks but medias dont always rely on real statistics and often mislead us. Fo sho we know dat black people r sumtimes successful in entertainment and sports but das not enuff to erase the picture dat medias show us when it comes to the freaky combination blacks+street crimes. Wassup Silent-Sistah ,I appreciated ur replies in the false claims abuses topic.Now ,let's talk about the child abuse issue,the idea of a website and the help line are great.Let's also run sessions in somali community about the child abuse(includin' false claims abuse).Thoses sessions have to be on the children's rights as well as the parents and maybe offer sum counselling for both the children and parents.In the website for example,though it might be hard for sum children ,it should feature testimonies of abuses,so ppl cant really ignore dat dis is a major problem.Im runnin out of ideas ,I hope others might be inspired and come up wit other solutions.Bye.

I dont know who's tellin the truth maybe the girl or maybe the father,but one thing is for sure only Allah knows the truth,so lets all agree wit dis first. Second of all I believe dat claims of false abuses happen in our community but sumtimes how can u tell wat is false and wat is true?And third,abuses have alwayz existed in the world and I believe we somalis as humans r not immuned against dat. How about the black-out ?Hum hum ,I would say ppl walkin by the streets waitin for their buses sufferin through the heat ( I was in a car I didnt complain dat much ,lol),traffic wit no lights (hey,I remember I did complain about dat),long line-ups to buy candles,the damn McDo was closed ,my friend and I couldnt get our sundaes,grrr.And I waited a long time to catch my bus but then after there were no streetcars ,so I had to walk from a subway station to my home ,it took me an hour to get there,lol,plus I had to be careful not to be run over by cars.I swear its hard for drivers to see ur raised arm,lol. Wassup everyone,I will share wit u my experience wit music.I neva knew dat music was haraam in Islam till recently.Then I started to stop listenin to any kind of music except Quran.It was hard for me,I had to walk ,sleep witout music and it was hell becuz I had to live witout no sound at all.I started to listen to Quran and I became so calm ,so silent cuz my body wasnt movin anymore and believe me the first time is alwayz terrifyin.After gettin used to dat new mental state I couldnt bear any music at all.But I was weak and I eventually got back to music but I hope I have enuff strengh to stop listenin to music one day.Das wy I encourage the bros and sis to stop da music believe me it takes a lot but efforts r important.But let me tell ya ,even though I still listen to it ,the fact dat I stopped once marked me becuz I dont feel the music vibes anymore,weird eh ?
