I can never become a leader. If I have any dreams of becoming a politician, my highest position of hope would be foreign minister. But I would like you guys to seriouly think about Baashi, Shujui, Samurai, and Bari Nomad as a final candidates, and then elect one of them. P.S We need some fun posts every once in a while, considering how tense the environment in this section always is.

If it is unimaginable to make Muqdisho capital, then i would nominate Hargeisa.

TOGANE - Is this political poetry or Garbage, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Gabbal replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
I don't like him, and his poems are offensive to me, personally. -
Not that funny to me either.

a Khalifate might solve Somalia's problems but Ethios will still to try ruin it if you let them. You're showing lights I've never seen you show before Ayoub. And please answer my question as candidly as possible, do you not think we are letting the "Ehios" even stop us from getting there (the khalifate) by these so-called "states" that basically allude to the fact a different "Christian colonizer" colonized them? No Sir. What we have here are 'patriots' who want to turn back the clock, to the dacades when they used to have an unfair and unjust advantage over everyone. You obviously mean me. I really feel insulted now, Ayoub. What do you know of my life to even make you say that? Sometimes it really seems annoying to me by the fact that some "landers" in here seem to think that Waqooyi Galbeed was the only place that suffered. Wake up and smell the coffee, Ayoub. Everyone dies for a reason, and Allah will choose the time, place, and how you die, there is no way possible to stop. If that much people were to die in Siyaad barre's hands than ilaahay ha u naxariisto, isna ilaahay ha u naxariisto. But, however, do not in under any circumstances blame for Siyaad barre's atrocities, because Allah (subxanawatacala) is watching and I won't ever forgive you.

If your so-called weight is alluding to the number of murders and destruction they've caused, then I agree that Dr. Abdiqaasim is but a straw in a game of hawks. However, sorry to burst your bubble, his political reputation and game far outmatche any of those in all of the Somali Republic. He is of course the first "president" of Somalia to be recognized by all the organizations that our beloved nation is a particapant of, even though there have been 10+ reconcialtion conferences and a president from each one, since the ouster of Siyaad Barre (allah ha u naxariisto). The president with the president of Mozambique. Whilst you might hate Dr. Abdiqaasim with all your heart, the name belongs to Allah, and for you, Gediid, to tarnish it.......well it's between you and Allah (subxanawatacala).

There are things that should not be messed with, and one of those things is Muqdisho as capital.

A great speech in my humble opinion. The interference of Ethiopia in our country is an African problem. Dr. Abdiqaasim is indeed a very shrewd and clever man to make that the highlight main point of his speech. Considering how most of the African nations have had interference from outside, it would strike a nerve somewhere, right? Alienating Ethiopia in it's own neighborhood was a clever tactic indeed. So clever, that several African heads of states have personally come up to Mwai Kibaki and told him to settle the "dispute" (they don't understand the historical significance of this "dispute"). Anyway Mwai Kibaki, through his forign minister, announced he was "going to settle the dispute". (you can find this somewhere in the news? Some people never change. Sad really. A petty unrecognized enitity means more to them then the killing, maiming, torturing, horrific acts commited by a historical Christian enemy on our own Muslim Somali people. If they (you know who you are) are that tragically selfish, then they (you know who you are) have no basis nor foundation for their accusations, grief, and suffering, in my humble opinion.

consequently the introduction of dailect as as a parallel language to Somali is a grace mistake. Very intelligent observation
-
I've always held the notion that right now what we need the most is a recognized gov, and that we coul've dealt with all the other ingredients at a latter time, but even i'm unsure right now. MMA since Islam as the state religion is sacrosanct, why not Arabic as the second language?
-
Nuune I would like you to seriously consider me a foreign ministry position in your oppositional gov.

Zadiqa abaayo ilaahayaa wax cafiyo oona naxariiseeyo. Ayoub_Sheikh Deep down you all know the mass graves up and down Somali shores cannot be blamed on 'military junta' or 'civil war'. I'm starting to understand the reason why "Somaliland" does not want unity is, because they blame the Northern Genocide (yes, i call it that) on anyone who did not come from Waqooyi Galbeed at the time of it and as of right now too. Ayoub's hypothetical comment just made what i've been thinking for sometime a true reality. Baashi, Samuarai, Sophist, etc, how do you console an entire region and it's people, because of their woes, when you, infact, are also part of their blame to them, regardless of any other thing, simply because you don't hail from Waqooyi galbeed? The genocide was as much a tragic part of Somali history, as the Somali civil war was (which killed a million+ people, uprooted another 2 million, destroyed everything, and made Somalia a complete failed state). So I don't have anything eles to say, mainly because I've come to a grave understanding.

Is there any appeal for Darman, Opinionated?

If someone would nominate me (hint, hint) for Foreign Minister of The SomaliaOnline Website, I would be more than happy.

Does coming from southern Somalia make someone a savage? You're digging yourself a great big hole, my brother (that is if i'm not a savage to you )
-
And I told you that I did not insult the girl, but was disgusted by her show of ignorance. You, my friend, either be fair in all your critique or don't critize anything. I have never insulted "Somaliland" except stating what is a reality and that it is non-existent, but you, AJ timcadeh, on the other hand have taken every oppurtunity to insult and degrade Somalia. the people of somaliland will never re-unite with the southern savages till the day they die. These kinds of comments and "jokes" have not gone unnoticed, brother.
-
You seem to talk as if "Somaliland" was a real country. There. There. Come down and talk sensibly for once.
-
A.J timacadeh out to make me look a like a bad guy, huh? No wonder you repeated your previous post. It is said that "A blind-folded man walking into a house he thinks is his, intrudes on things unknown," You, but having come only last month, do not understand the history of the debates and arguments that have been going on this other peaceful forum, so I don't blame your intrusion on this battle of the wills. I didn't insult my sister Angel Dust, SamiGirl, as a person nor did I insult her personality, I was just taken aback by her showing of ignorance. Ehm nope...BUT I will bet my last dime it was a Somalilander--can not envisage any one else with such creativty and patriotism. Now that is an insult to rest of the Somali nation, calling them unworthy of anything. Funny how you did not pick up on that insult. Funny, the flag they make claim to is not really thiers and almost none of them understand what it symbolises. That, again, is an insult to the whole Somali nation, calling them too foolish to even understand what their chosen banner stands or. Funny how you did not pick up on that insult. The Flag was designed by a Putlander? Is that what you jsut said? walahi Of all the claims I heard here this one just takes the cake!! I shall leave in disgust. Acuudi bilaah, now that is an insult to a whole region of Somalia and it's inhabitants. Funny how you did not pick up on that insult. Surpasses me really. And let me just mention, Mr. TJ Timacadeh, that I do not find your so-called "jokes" very humurous really.

Loud, but uneeded. Discerning the fact that you are very fond of advising me, let me address the two main points of your latter post, Oodweyne. First I have not read the book nor have I even bought the book, but really, just because "somaliland" scholars (if there is such an absurd title) do not agree with it, does not mean I won't either. I mean of course "somaliland" scholars are against Somali unity, while I propagate it. Secondly this should clear up the misunderstanding. I would be very, very interested to see the "second act of union" of which you are also so fond of saying that the former colonizers have in their midst. I do not plan in the near future to leave the U.S, so I repeat again that I would be very interested in seeing it, if such a thing exists. Lander, no matter what, Islam comes before all, even so-called nationalism.
-
Lander to me brother, it's a matter of principle. "Somaliland" is non-existent entity, so I might as well show what it actually is, and I hope you do not take offense. Second of all you can give your ONE'S, or TWO'S, and hint, hints, but the truth is right in front of you. Third of all, I would advice you to refrain from attacking "those wahabis" every chance you get, simply for nationalist reasons. They are Muslims and the custodians of the holiest sites of Islam.
-
Dinaax i really feel shame and like to say i dont need the word somali any more or even islam it self. That should tell the rest of the nomads what I think your mental capability is. Lander I uderstand you bro, but answer me on this. Why did marxuum Mohamed Ibrahim Egal (a former prime minister within the SNL) accept the second highest post in the Somali Republic and become prime minister in 1967? Are you saying that even though the citizens of british Somaliland were singing a different tune, the highest elected leaders of the former british Somaliland were glued to a different one? hhm.
-
Having read your long advisory post Mr. Oodweyne, I would make my reply very short, and just plainly and bluntly ask you for the "second act of union" signed by the respective former British Somaliland. If you do not have the aformentioned evidence, then I am very sorry to inform you that you have wasted a good portion of your day. And to be honest with you oodweyne, i'm very pleased to read that you thought i was wiser then my age when it came to Somali politcs, for I am younger than the age of 22. So I assume, just as you had assumed my age, that I would be included in your youngsters list.
-
Angel Dust, Sami-girl you really disgust me sister. I have never seen someone who hates the very thought of Somalinimo more than you do. "A "somalilander" designed this, or a non-"somalilander" can't design this, and other ludicrious suggestions." Get a grips girl, what's up with you? Ingenuity and creativity has nothing to do with what region you're from. You would be perfect if you were born 50 years ago when there was colonialism, since that's what you have, a colonial-era mentality. So disgusting and sad, really.
