  1. Horn, quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But to be honest to be in Siad barre's gov did not mean you participated in his activities. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How hypocritical as usual, hiding behind Islam like your mentor Salad Boy. Wasn't he the very man who justified the bombing of Hargeisa on CNN. Go and morn with him in Xamar, maybe he’ll give you a raise from the $Millions that he stole from the nation. I have never seen Abdiqasim on CNN so I can't comment on that. Abdiqasim is but a man, if he decided to leave the conference than that is his choice. Do I agree with that decision? No, I couldn't disagree with it more. You said nation! Good you are finally referring to Somalia as a (1) nation. That's a start. However you keep speaking of this money, why? I have seen reports in which he was promised millions of dollars by various Arab nations, but I have never seen even one report that said he was given any of that money. Darling I would love to visit Xamar or it's environs, but I would hardly be welcomed there with open arms, because of a past happenings that I had no control over. Now I am judged with deceased people's guilt, even though I am as guilty as an unborn child. Qoslaaye to me being a warlord starts out with the number of murders you commited. Now brother, you can not accuse someone of stealing when they have never stolen in their lives, can you? How can you label Abdiqasim as the number 1 warlord, when he has no dead bodies in his closet? Our religion calls for witnesses when a serious crime like a murder is commited. Now I assure you that the whole Somali nation is a witness to those who commited atrocities in this infernal civil war we've placed ourselves in, but can you give me but one person who will testify that Abdiqasim commited a single murder?
  2. Horn, why don't you answer the this, where did all this money go??? How much did you get?? quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The chairman of the Somali parliament Abdullah Yitzhak said that Saudi Arabia vowed to offer to the Somali people financial aids estimated at US $ 930 million as a contribution to rebuilding the country and revive services establishments destroyed during the ten year of civil war in the country. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I new where any of the money went I would tell you, but "vowed" is very different than "given".
  3. This was the full text of your former post Gediid and you will see what I ment. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by guraad: SmithNwestern ,Agree with you in that. I posted this facts not to dis-respect the dead man , but to show that somaliland(hargayiesa, berbera, burco) was and still licking for israel to gain regonition. and you all that somaliland is now opening its berbera port for ethiopia(an other enemy of islam and somalia) and for free . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guraad get a life my man.....Aren't the Arabs making "PEACE" with Isreal or is that ok with you. (the rest of the quote is about Ethiopia and does not matter) You are indirectly giving an excuse for that (cursed be it) letter. Which i should add has embarrassed us infront of the whole Muslim world. code: Contrary to what you try to picture me as, I respect Abdiqasim's stance against seccession, his religious personality, and his pro-Muslim, pro-Arab policy.
  4. Bari, I have been looking at that website since before the Djibouti conference. But to be honest to be in Siad barre's gov did not mean you participated in his activities. I mean of course Siad barre was a dictator, and dictator seeks no approval of anyone, save himself. Now Jamac Arteh Ghalib was the best Somali foreign minister ever, in my opinion, so does that mean because he worked for Siad barre his reputaion should be tainted? Mystery assumptions lead you astray as you know what they say; the ASS is U not ME for assuming.
  5. Smithnwestern I did not write that article, and I even put the source of it on the bottom. Regarding that fact I would kindly dismiss your insults on the basis of ignorance. WHAT IS A WARLORD? AND WHO IS A WARLORD ITS LIKE SAYING ALL ARABS ARE TERRORISTS IS THAT TRUE? No it's not, and you know, and I know, and Samigyrl knows what it takes to be a warlord. Nobody said ALL Somalis are warlords, so your Arabs and terrorist thing has to be thrown out. What (I think you ment whom) is a warlord? Barre Hirrale is a warlord, Riyaale Kaahin is a warlord, Cabdulahi Yusuf is a warlord, so are countless others.
  6. Sorry to bust this little charade of sorts (I don't even know why you bother Bari), but there is something that caught my attention. Gediid said: Guraad get a life my man.....Aren't the Arabs making "PEACE" with Isreal or is that ok with you. Are you making an excuse for Egal? Are you indirectly saying you agreed with his intention of sacrifing Islam in order to gain recognition from yahuuda? This just just amazes me! Egal will not get you to heaven, only the Allmighty will. Remember that, dear brother Gediid.
  7. Butcher Of Hargeisa And Kismayo General Morgan was responsible of killing, maiming, and injuring thousands of civilians in North West Somalia as well as destroying Hargeisa and other towns in the same region during in 1987-89. In the years of 1991-2001, Morgan was a terrorist leader.. He led a SRRC group who killed thousands of Somalis at the border towns. His group attacked and killed more than 50 civilian at the Kismayo city Aug 6, 2001. code: Osman Hassan Ali "Ato" A millionaire businessman, reputed arms dealer and drug trafficker, self-styled diplomat and warmaker, Osman Hassan Ali has his own private army in Somalia. Osman Ato is far removed from the character of Somali warlords, men greedy for power and wealth at any cost. 60 Years old.Started working for foreign oil companies as an errand boy at age 9 when his father died. At age 13 was operating heavy equipment. When the oil companies needed to reduce their exposure in Somalia in the 60s, Ato was allowed to purchase the equipment which he then leased back to the oil companies. He made millions. He also made money contracting for USAID. Ato was one of the organizers of the resistance inside Muqdisho during the assault against Siyaad in 1989. Responsible for several bombings and other acts which annoyed the regime. Became Aydiid's chief financial backer during the coup and the civil war. He was behind the dismantling and sale of many public enterprises, from monuments to factories, in order to finance the war. Arrested by the Americans in 1993 after his vehicle was bombed. Still, he remains very pro American and "American" in his attitude. After four months in jail became a changed man. He had a falling out with Aydiid in early 1994 but kept it quiet. When it became apparent in late 1994 that UNOSOM was leaving (and Ato's business would dry up) he tried unsuccessfully to convince Aydiid to moderate his views. Aydiid insisted on being president and prime minister. Ato asked that Abdullahi Yusuf be named prime minister. In February, 1995 his conflict with Aydiid came into the open. A meeting of the Sa'ad elders backed Ato over Aydiid. Ato also began to reach out to Ali Mahdi, meeting with him in February. He also forged an alliance with Ali Mahdi ally Ali Ugaas. When the UN pulled out in March, 1995. Ato sent some of his 160 technicals to prevent Aydiid from seizing the port and airport. The two former allies battled for several hours outside the gates of the airport. In October, 2000. warlord Osma Hassan Ali "Ato's" militias hot and killed Yusuf Tallan, a former army general and a delegate to the Djibouti conference. He was shot after he refused to get into a vehicle with the militia. The killing was because of Atto's business deals in the north and the deal between Mohamed Ibrahim Egal and Atto in order to destabilize the south. Osman Ato, the leader of the ‘Akara’ Group, the main architect of the Somalia civil war, the man who looted and destroyed much of the country’s resources (factories, port and airport equipment’s etc.). He made a habit of organizing meetings and destroying them before any agreement is reached. Note that his name does not appear in the new coalition of warlords, even though he attended the meeting in Awasa. Mr. Ato was involved in several kidnappings of humanitarian workers in Mogadishu. His collaborators have kidnapped nine ICRC staff in Mogadishu in 1998 and kept them until they were paid a ransom. Mr. Ato’s militia were also responsible for the kidnapping of two AICF humanitarian aid workers in Mogadishu for 55 days in August 2000 before they were released after payment of a hefty ransom . code: Hussein Aidid , who was responsible for the atrocities committed during the long occupation of Bay and Bakol regions by his militia he was the first head of a new coalition of warlords formed in Ethiopia. In April 1999, Hussein Aidid sent a joint letter with other faction leaders to the UN Security Council, protesting against Ethiopian incursions into the Somalia border region code: Abdullahi Yusuf , Ethiopia’s best friend and the man who was responsible for forming the first clan-based militia served in the Somali army and was involved in a failed military coup in 1978. He fled to Ethiopia, where he was one of the founders of the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF). The colonel was detained by the former Ethiopian dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam for using Libyan money to buy the services of senior Ethiopian officers to help assassinate his opponents within the SSDF. He served seven years until he was released as a result of the EPRDF take-over of Ethiopia in 1991. Colonel Yusuf was responsible for the killing of hundreds of his own clansmen in Garowe in 1992. He has tried repeatedly to form alliances with all main Southern warlords, but failed. The other warlords know he has a penchant for assassinations. code: Musa Sudi , one of the most ruthless warlords from Mogadishu, has become Ethiopia’s trusted man. Sudi is the only faction leader from Mogadishu who has the full backing of the Ethiopians who supply his faction with arms, ammunition and more recently landmines. In January 01 2001, the government tried and failed to intercept two trucks loaded with various kinds of ammunition including lethal landmines sent by the Ethiopians. Musa does not hide the fact that he is a close ally of the Ethiopians and that he will defend their interests in Somalia. He tells his supporters that without the Ethiopian blessing, he will never reconcile with and participate in the TNG. Nine humanitarian aid workers, UN and MSF employees, were abducted in Mogadishu on 27 March, 2001 by His militia. The BBC as saying that the hostages had been taken to show the international community that Mogadishu was still not safe has quoted a spokesman of Musa Sudi. code: Source: Somaliawatch.com
  8. SmithNWestern Allah subxanawatacala knows everything, but I, as a human, don't. So if Abdulahi Yusuf was not chosen president, would YOU favor Puntland's seccession?
  9. Bari_Nomad please calm down your rhetoric bro. Ayoub is far from responsible for Egal's (ilaahay ha u naxariisto) actions and it'a not wise to label a practicing Muslims as anything other than a Muslim. Understanding that you ardently favor a United Somalia, I very much agree with a lot of your post Bari, especially this one P.S. I guess we should be trusting the murderer and war criminal NSS commander and coward Col. Riyaale?!?!He oversaw the murdering of your tribe and now you love and trust him?!?! Look what he is doing now in hargeisa!!! "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me." So while it's far to be against "Somaliland"'s secession, I also stand against Abdualhi Yusuf or anybody else with blood on their hands from becoming soon-to-be President of the Federal Somali Democratic Republic.
  10. WHAT!!? WHAT!!? That is an enemy of Islam! And some of us were more than eager to call that person a president. A leader.! Subxanallah. WHAT?
  11. this all done for Ethopia sake so that they can use the barbara harbor freely and eventually control somaliland, I hope our somali people will pay attention to such hidden agent and assume that could the case and prepared for it, Ethopia in my opion should never share with somalia anything .. they are our enemy and they are Gaalo and wish the worse for somalia I just dont trust anything that ethopia has something to do with, beside they will bring their deseases to our lands and they shitty culture I;m glad you noticed that Og
  12. Subxanallah how are the people of these ages thinking? When I asked that question I was referring to this kind of statement. You have to decide wether you are a 'nationalist' or an Islamist So opting for Islamic unity would make me a "Islamist" right? An "extremist"? A "fundamentalist", or a "terrorist", right? You have been brainwashed to a degree that you don't even understand what you're saying, or if you do, are using it on purpose. Subxanallah. Ayoub I am for Islamic unity now. A Muslim brotherhood within a single khaliphate, but i am not ****** that I should think that it will happen right now. That is why when I say Somalia's unity is to be preseved, I mean that it is be prepared for that time. It should come as a single state, no a dozen fragmented Christian brainwashed tragedy. The Mbagathi conference? Ayoub do you think I or any Somali for that matter enjoy being dependent on Aideed (jr), Muse Suudi, Abdulahi Yusuf, or any other warlord for Somalia's peace and prosperity? Do you think we just love to be used and abused by them for their political gains? Anyways what you should know is that there won't be a dozen "co"-presidents comming out of the conference, but one. A Somali government will be formed and Somalia as a whole will be reconciled, that is what should matter! A unified Somalia that would one be part of the greater Muslim ummah! Is that an "Islamist" dream in your opinon dear Ayoub?
  13. I think you should pay attention to your own advise Mystery.
  14. Mystery that is but your personal opinion, and if you have no love for you, than I love you with all my heart for the sake of being Muslim and Somali. What is the ultimate goal for the Muslims? That they become one nation, and one people, right? The ultimate goal is for a Muslim state led by a Muslim khaliif right? Is that not the ultimate goal for Muslims on this earth? So how are we to go about that direction when our minds , used and abused by Christian colonial mentality, won't even allow us to to reconcile one of the countless Muslim "states". You talk of a divorce, which I think is the most ignorant way of labeling Somalia's current condition is. What divorce? What marrige? Are you that dead set against the very wishes of your deen? Are you that against it, that you would do more harm to severe the unity of Muslim ummah. By declaring another "state", simply because it was colonized, mind you it was not even colonized that well, a good word would be used, used by a Christian enemy of Islam? Cecil Rhodes and other must be laughing in their graves! Oh how the term "divide and conquer" become a depressing reality! Yet you have the audacity to label me a Catholic, simply because I opt for unity, unity for Somalis, and ultimately for Muslims everywhere. Subxanallah how are the people of these ages thinking?
  15. Oodweyn I have still not recieved that second act of union. Lander you are no more dumber than I am. Look under the surface.
  16. Ayoub-Sheikh you actually pay attention to "Somalia proper" news? Kenya has a policy of neutrality when it come to the politics of Somalia, but that is not to say that it's citizens do. Obviously Mr. Mazrui as an intellectual is afraid that one day a united Somali Republic will once-again lay claim to the NFD. Why else would he preposterously say that "Somaliland" has the resources to survive by itself? You don't have to be a genious to to know the unhidden political motive of Mr. Mazrui. Infact, speaking from his point of view (Mr. Mazrui's) I would say he is being very nationalistic, the very antithesis of the like's of you "Landers". Here is a, I believe, a very good piece about the economic potential of "Somaliland" by itself. code: In terms of average income, Somaliland is, economically, one of the world's least developed countries and its economic performance is heavily dependent on the regional prices of livestock. Its natural resources have been listed aptly as: "Sun, Sand and Somalis" (Rayne, 1921). Poverty is the dominant theme in this largely subsistence economy, which hinged on the vagaries of the rainfall, trapped by extreme social conservatism and threatened by uncertainty of peaceful existence as a result of centuries-old clan-based discord and rivalry. Somaliland exhibits the typical features of a low-income African economy with a high ratio of foreign trade to gross domestic product, a low level of monetization and urbanization, and a dominant informal sector. Much economic activity is clandestine, and few statistics gets published (Gray, 1989). There are hardly all-weather roads and no railways. Construction is the sole industrial activity. Its structural problems of economic development, which were immense in any circumstance, have been rendered still more acute by the civil war and droughts. The cash economy of the country is dominated by the exports of livestock (from Somaliland and Ethiopia through Berbera), by the trade from Ethiopia in the stimulant leafy shrub, Khat, fruits, vegetables, and coffee, and the import of manufactured goods through Berbera and Djibouti. The economy became export-oriented early in the colonial period, when emphasis was placed on the production of livestock for Arabian peninsula markets, which were also the principal suppliers of the country's import requirements. Due to the arid conditions prevalent throughout the country, nomadic pastoralism forms the mainstay of Somaliland's economy. Somaliland has no perennial river. The shortage of water, resulting from low annual rainfall (average 500 mm) aggravated by considerable fluctuation in the monthly distribution and total seasonal rainfall, for humans, livestock and crops is the most biggest hindrance to the development of Somaliland's natural resources. Because of the water supply being the important limiting factor within the country, it is not surprising that towns and villages are located around water sources. These resources are usually artificial ponds,Waro, in which water is stored from rainy season to the next. There are also hand-dug shallow wells in many parts of the country, in addition to Barkado, or water reservoirs, and numerous Togag, or dry bed sandy rivers that become filled with water after heavy rains (Abdi, 1995). Water in these Togag is replenished by rain water in mountainous areas in the center of the country, where rainfall is over 10 inches (Al-Najim, 1992). This is relatively higher rainfall than the rest of the country receives. The valleys of these Togag are considered to be good sources of fresh rainwater at subsurface level, which can be exploited for both agriculture and gazing. The problems of generating economic development in Somaliland are immense. Since the onset of the civil strife in 1988, Somaliland has experienced considerable economic dislocation, accompanied by a widespread social dislocation and drastic regrouping of population brought about by insecurity and military massacres. The civil war had also created problems of "internal" refugees (estimated to number up to 500,000 people), while it was estimated that more than 700,000 people had fled to neighboring countries. Economic growth has been traditionally modest because of the neglect of the British and post-colonial governments, the small size of the domestic market, the lack of indigenous raw materials (save the live animals), and because of shortage of finance and management skills, with investment deterred by political uncertainty. In the absence of significant mineral development, satisfactory economic growth will depend upon the promotion of agriculture, and the injection of capital and technical assistance and creation of pricing policies, which will favor increased small-holder production, and greater access to international markets. And without an agricultural surplus, the economy can never hope to support a modern state. Massive investment in development of primary education and health and the rehabilitation and improvement of transport and telecommunication infrastructures are also essential. Finally, external economic relations were affected by the country's uncertain international status. Although Somaliland is still externally recognized as still formally part of Somalia, the Somaliland government refused to acknowledge this status; it was thus denied membership in international institutions, including postal and telecommunication agencies, and had difficulty in negotiating formal agreements with foreign governments (Press, 1993). Somaliland requires foreign assistance for the necessary programme after 10 years of war, and is further hampered by food shortages following poor harvest because of common droughts. The government appeales for international assistance, but relief aid becomes too slow to materialize, partly because of the confusion caused by Somaliland's indeterminate international status.
  17. Walaalayaal no matter how bad a human being is, if they say that they are a Muslim, then it is not up to us to judge them but for the Al-Rahmaan and the Al-Raheem to judge him/her. What happened was a cruel and heinous act of muscle-flexing by the U.S. Allah (subxanawatacala) does not like the one that shows off nor the one that oppresses. Their (the U.S's) deserved judgement will surely come for Allah (subxanawatacala). However on a another level Bari, I do beleive it's very hypocritical of the U.S to release these pictures, whilst hiding theirs.
  18. YOU my friend are easy to dicipher! Really it seems annoying to me right now that I didn't figure it out earlier. Because of my clan you associate me with the SNF? It's o.k you're not the first. Anyway you claim to love the main man, yet you "hate" the very organization he set up, the same one that drove him out of Muqdisho, with the USC chasing him, and got him safely in Gedo! How can that be oh dearly Siyaad lover. (dambi aan ka helayaa intaan yar aan uumka aaqiro magaciisa aan sidaas u isticmaalayo, but i have to get my point across) Yet the very organization that is the cause of his downfall you praise! You, grinov, Siyaad's #1 fan adore the very organization that toppled him. Oh, you thought you were smooth, didn't you? You gave hints, hints that caught my attention, dear boy. Hints that you, Grinov, thought were unnoticable and cleverly hidden, but nevertheless that I caught. economically ruined dumbs(SNF, SPM). military powerfull, but very primitive thinking(USC). and well balanced SNM(militarily ,politically and economically), USC...would love to ally themselves with the SNM, but SNM looks down on them, so they are forced to cooperate with SNF the dominant clan of the SNM can get 50% of somalia seat and hence power. It is my believe that you are in fact pretending to love Siyaad, and that you are trying to divide the nomads that believe in Somali Unity, and...that you are giving a foundation for the "landers" up here. Some of the dear nomads are asking what in the world I'm talking about, but my theory is that Aj Timacade, by using the alias Grinov, is trying to give moral support to the secessionst camp in Somalia Online, by trying to show that that there are blood-thirsty, Waqooyi galbeed murdering people in here, and if he successfully convinced the nomads of that lie, then it would be easier for them, the "landers" to talk about how they need to seperate to escape people like "Grinov" from ever ruling them again! It's very dirty of that camp and I believe it was planned, go back to Ayoub and Angel's posts. Sound like a conspiracy theory? It's not nomads.
  19. Og Girl abaaya those names are the names of the major powerbrokers who were involved in the overthrow of the late pres. They are all based on clanism and every one of those groups is dominated by a certain clan. For the clans of the groups i'll give you a pm. The SSDF was the first to come into existence in 1978 by Abdulahi Yusuf. The SNM declared "Somaliland" independent. The USC destroyed Muqdisho. The SNF started as a group to protect Siyad Barre (allaha ha u naxariisto) when he fled to Gedo after being chased out of Muqdisho and now is involved in major clashes with general Morgan's forces for Kismayo. As of now I think only the SNF and USC are still functioning? Grinov you are either trying to play dumb and show twisted humuor or you need medical help. If I once called Sami Gyrl's (Angel Dust's) extremist views (if there is such a thing in Somali politics) far left, then i must call yours far right. Two bigots coming from the extreme opposites will make each other seem valid, and that is not good for us, the majority, who, although sharing our differences, are tolerant of other's political views. ..And really I do not ascribe to any political entity, whether they use the guns as a mean to show what they want or not. ..except for the TNG, whose life is coming to an end.
  20. As Somalis, we make up one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa. I believe, if i have this correctly, we are in the top ten. As you know Somalia is almost exclusively populated by ethnic Somalis so it depends on our population. other countries are comprised of several different ethnic groups. If i have this correctly too, after Liberia, we have the highest birthrate of any African nation, and we are in the top ten in the world. Our population is set to triple in the next 50 years, while China's set to go down. So could be the war, starvation, disease, etc. It, however, has nothing to do with our sexual activities.
  21. May God bless your soul child. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ istaqfurulah I just had to say that!
  22. Ayoub could this mean I think it means? AJ Timacadeh (bless him ) ? I did suspect it, though.
  23. Grinov do you not think? It is a time when Somali Unity, and Islamic brotherhood is being stressed and needs to be stressed. If these nomads had a personal impact from the old horror, then they have a right to be angry, do you not agree? What do you mean showing their true colors? I am angry, because you are bringing up old ghosts and ghost stories! Do you not think I have seen death, or people close to me murdered infront of my eyes? Every single Somali has seen some sort of death or not, so do not bring ignorance again! I see that we have to go back to the basics of good etiquette. 1. If you have nothing good to say then do not say anything at all.
  24. Wind Talker I would love for you to go back and reread my initial post. My response to the thread was about anything but the fact that the late prez and I are related. I said it was wrong for him (Grinov) to be gleeful at the deaths of Muslims, no matter what. Every Muslim's actions on earth is to be judged by Allah (subxanawatacala), no matter what political opinion they held or not! The latter part of my post was basically advise (uumka aqiiro waa la iska daayaa). Gediid the hidden meaning behind your post did not escape me.
