Let's throw away pride for second. What did he really accomplish?

Besides Abdiqasim, there is also another Somali.

Acuudibilaah, seeing those pictures made me horrified

Recognition of Somaliland's Independence is overdue... Just that fact alone just goes to show you that there is no such recognition coming. Its obvious that the interest of the international community lie with a united, and territorially intact Somali Republic.

^^^^Qudhac if there was tallying going on maybe, but anyways point well taken However that is not to say I rescind my earlier comment, it speaks of 100% truth.

It seems as though some took it for granted you are from "Somaliland". They expected you to care about "Somaliland" and nowhere else where your brethren reside.

having emotion in one’s writing’ (as stated by Nomad) and ‘writing with emotion’ (as pointed out by Lander) are not one and the same. If any contradiction is to be analyzed, I suggest we start with that. You're a tactian huh, Yasmine? Interesting, we might have a thing or two in common.

March 27 2004 at 03:57PM Mogadishu - Seventeen women have been arrested in southern Somalia's Middle Shabbelle region for ignoring a decree banning women from wearing veils, a spokesperson for the the area's administration said on Saturday. "Seventeen women have been arrested for defying a decree that banned women from wearing the Muslim veil," spokesperson for the region, controlled by warlord Mohamed Omar Habeb, said on condition of anonymity. Independent sources in Jowhar, 90km north of the capital Mogadishu, confirmed the arrests. Habeb banned the Islamic veils on Thursday in a bid to foil male would-be attackers who could be disguised as women. He has also banned vehicles with tinted windows from operating in his fiefdom, his spokesperson said. "Any vehicle with tinted glasses will be impounded from Monday. This is a security threat that can undermine peace in Jowhar and neighbouring areas," he added. In his decree last week, Habeb pointed out that he was a devoted Muslim but was compelled to act to avoid bloodshed by religious extremists, such as those who allegedly killed a Kenyan aid worker in the self-declared republic of Somaliland this month. The decree is the first of its kind since Somalia was founded in 1960. The predominantly Islamic country has lacked an effective government since the dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was ousted in 1991, descending into armed clan-based conflicts and widespread anarchy.

Just make up your mind "STAY Or LEAVE" O.k   isn't it obvious he's staying?

Hibo sis give your input on anything you want, and don't take the task of replying to people who wish to demean you. Somali politics is ripe with people demeaning others to make them seem invalid.

Careful Qudhac, you might actually be seen as tryng to help Somalia Right Spadez or he might have his "Somaliland" citizenship revoked for reasons of High Treason Against the State right? And isn't cuqdad the term "Landers" have constantly accused the Greater Somalia supporters of? We might be getting confused for a sec Spadez.

German president Johannes Rau DJIBOUTI : Djibouti denied there was a credible threat to the life of German President Johannes Rau on its soil and expressed "astonishment" at his decision to cancel a planned trip there at the last minute on security grounds. "We can state with absolute confidence... that the threats against the life of President Johannes Rau were not to be taken seriously," Djibouti Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zyad Doualeh told AFP on Wednesday. "All security measures were put in place to ensure President Rau and his wife were welcomed in the best possible conditions," added the spokesman. He was speaking only a few hours after Rau flew back to Berlin from Tanzania, instead of to Djibouti, which lies at the mouth of the Red Sea, as scheduled. In Berlin, German Interior Minister Otto Schily said Rau had been advised not to visit Djibouti after German intelligence received reports that an Islamist group was preparing an attack "striking at the head of a Western state". "It is part of our responsibility that no harm comes to the president," the minister told ARD public television. He said the threat had been assessed as "regional," but that "we have to be prepared for such threats of attacks applying to Europe as well. We must take them seriously." Doualeh said the Djibouti government was "astonished" and "very surprised" by the decision to cut Rau's trip short. Djibouti plays an important role in international anti-terrorism efforts, and hosts German and US troops involved in Operation Enduring Freedom which Washington launched in the wake of the attacks of September 11, 2001. Rau's was due to visit Djibouti on the last leg of a nine-day Africa trip that has already taken him to Nigeria and Tanzania. He was due to inspect a German frigate moored in Djibouti's port. There had been earlier vague threats during Rau's visit to Tanzania, where he arrived on March 19 from Nigeria, but the president had previously refused to change his programme, according to his office. A spokeswoman for Germany's foreign intelligence service, BND, said it had received growing indications of an imminent threat. She said that there had been "an increased, but at that time not worrying" threat level before Rau began his Africa trip. But the indications became "very concrete" during Tuesday, and within a few hours the decision was made to call off the Djibouti portion. She refused to say where the information came from or how the attack was to have been carried out. According to ZDF public television and the Bild newspaper, quoting German intelligence sources, the plotters planned a mortar or car bomb attack on his convoy or at Djibouti airport. - AFP

Do you see me posting the daily happenings of Gedo, Galgadud, or even Mudug? Acuudi bilaah enough is enough. No one really cares .

The fighting in Galgaduud Region started years ago when a person from the qabiil of the late Siyad Barre killed an innocent old respected wadaad (whom my grandmother knew personally) from Donbira's clan. Diya was paid to the sheikh's family, but last year one of the sons of the wadaad killed a prominent businessman (an uncle of mines). Then the fighting started between the two major clans of Xeraale. As it was allegedly said, some sub-clans from Muqdisho and Dhuusamareeb asked the clan from Abudwaq to leave Xeraale permanently or risk a full-scale war with Donbira's clan combined with the clans from Dhuusamareeb and lower. The clan from Abudwaq responded with war. Some released hostages have testified that most of the sub-clans of the main clan of Muqdisho are in the war except Cisman Caato's sub-sub-clan. They have also testified that they know for sure Abdiqasim is supplying his clan and Donbira's clan with financing and weapons. God knows if all of this is for sure, but all I know is Donbira's clan's wounded are going to Dhusamareeb and Muqdisho, while the clan of Abudwaq's wounded are going to Galkacyo. Endless tribal fighting! It is really a pity, peace alludes Somalis by a wide margin. [ March 22, 2004, 07:49 PM: Message edited by: Admin ]

So are you going to tell us which is yours or not Angel? -
Guraad no offense bro, but why is it that you take every negative thing about "Somaliland" and post it as if it's the best thing that ever happened in the world? Don't think I'm accusing as if I'm clean too. I'm sorry to say, I've done that constantly, but you doing it in a daily fashion is not making your case, Laascaanood's case, or Somalia's case. It is making some nomads feel as if you are using and abusing the idea of unity for all Somalis to launch attacks against "Somaliland". I know you don't want people to start thinking as if you're not true in your stance on a Greater Somalia, do you?

Ameenah abaayo although agreeing very much with what you had to say, I would say there has been a misunderstanding between you and Sophist. Sophist posted an invitation to Somalis, regardless of political ideology, from his beginning post. If you go back and read Samurai's post, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Sophists. I don't believe Sophist even commented about Samurai's radio laascaanood post.

We stay focused as Somalilanders with our reality on the ground, meanwhile our detractors preoccupy themselves with writing long and allustrious tales full of emotion, misinformation, simplistic views and little substance. O.K  Come down from your trip to Mars yet?
