  1. ^^^I would be more then happy if we were to get that much media attention, but there was no such thing.
  2. JVA (Geddo/Galgaduud) and collection of personalities such as Musse Yalaxow, Abdiqasim, etc put their eggs in the Addow’s basket. Gedonet is reporting rer Gedo's votes went to Abdulahi Yusuf. Anyway I don't think who voted for him and who didn't matters, what matters is that now we need to start looking forward.

Horn sweetheart, remember the night you promised to be a Somaliland supporter if the Colnel was chosen as President? First I'm not a sweetheart , unless you want me to think you as something else Second Ayoub things are said in the heat of moments, but it is ludicris for me to support seccession now when I've always been against it. Abdulahi Yusuf is a but man, he could be dead as we speak, but my Somali Republic will be here until yawmul aaqira inshallah. And third I'm not exactly thrilled he was chosen president, but for the sake of Somalia and my hopes for it, I accept it. I believe to go the road we want Somalia to go to, we have to give Abdulahi Yusuf our support, not blindly follow him to whatever ditch he has in mind, but we have to give him our support to see where he leads us for. I don't think there will ever be another time in Somali history where one group is virtually the state, as in Siad Barre's time, so there shouldn't be any worry on the part of rer Muqdisho or anyone else. Somalis are to modernized, too politicized, too aware, and too vengeful to let that happen again. And as such, I don't think fears of going back to time should worry people and which would cause them to stand in the way of Abdulahi Yusuf fulfilling his duty as president. Heck there are people right now, important people, waiting for an excuse to declare Abdulahi Yusuf's election as null and void, and as such I don't think he'll be too eager to try any funny business. Once and for all, Somalis lose this clan mentality. If I, HornAfrique, am acknowledging Abdulahi Yusuf's right to lead, what do you have to worry about
  4. Abdulahi Yusuf is known for using and bringing Xabashas in Somali affairs, but for those nomads who think that he will let them control Somalia are dead wrong! He has always called on them when it was in his interests, but simply said I don't think he will let their interests on Somalia go accorded. I mean why do they call him beer-laawe? How did he lose his beer? He refused to hang the Ethiopian flag over Goldogob, and instead hanged the Somali one, although he was in the most vulnerable position at that time. The Xabasha then litterally tortured him till his liver stopped working. Abdulahi Yusuf will probably use the Xabasha to further his interest (which I strongly disapprove of), but I don't think Ethiopia's ambitions on Somalia will become materialized just because he was elected president. Now that he is the president, and it is a done deal, I'm trying to look at all the positive that can come out. One of the better reasons is now that Ethiopia has gotten one of their men in power, the chance of it supporting seccessionist treasonist entities is diminished
  5. I'm curious as to where Abdulahi Yusuf said he will move the capital from Muqdisho, and even if he did, does he have the power to do that?
  6. (where have you ever heard of bribes been fair?), That was one of the more hilarious and amusing parts of the peace conference. Sometimes I would stop in the middle of the street, laughing about such ludicrisy. Openly bribing and bribes being acknowledged and even encouraged? huh. What is done is done, I am personally looking forward to the rebuilding of the State.
  7. Somali are celebrating everywhere, even some of Abdulahi Yusuf's traditional foes Magaalooyinka Luuq, G/Haarey Iyo Doolow Oo Looga Dabaal Dagay Doorshada Madaxweynaha Siyaabaha ayaa looga arkay dalka Soomaaliya natiijadii doorashadii Kasaraani ee shalay Iyadoo shalay ay ahayd maalintii doorashada isla markaasna ay Soomaaliya dooratay madaxweyne ayaa waxaa dalka Soomaaliya guud ahaan looga soo dhoweeyay natiijadii doorashadaas si weyn, waxaana magaalooyin badan oo dalka ah oo aan la xiriirnay nalooga soo sheegay in maanta oo dhan ay damaashaad iyo fantasyo ku jireen, in kasta oo magaalada Muqdisho tarbuunka lagu hor istaagay dad damaashaad dhigan rabay. 8. Abdulahi Yusuf has spoken and spoken in a way that was more then expected. However, we must wait to see those words put into action to give the final judging. It is not about he is from this clan or that clan anymore, but he is now the President of the Somali Republic. Please let's give him the chance to what he is supposed to do.
  9. Now Abdulahi Yusuf is not about clan and does not represent a clan. I think to establish a Somalia that we can one day look forward is a Somalia that we have the right machinations for. Abdulahi Yusuf is the president of Somalia, let's not let qabiil enroach that.
  10. C'mon guys lighten up I've always called him "Beer-laawe" and no one had anything to say about it before, so why now? Besides I don't do it as a sign of disrespect, but it's just a habit. You see most of the people I hang around with call him that , i guess it kind of rubbed of on me. I mean you didn't see me crawling down your backs when you guys were callin Barre Hiirale.. Barre Huuraale. As for Bari..the warlord/murderer you were yesterday opposed to becoming president is now an old man  lol.
  11. I concede this is the first time I've even heard Abdulahi Yusuf's voice, and even though he wasn't my choice, I have to say I'm impressed. He has been elected and anything is better then anarchy. May he uphold the rule of law with justice for his 5 years in power.
  12. Abdulahi Yusuf might not have been alot of people's first choice, but what is done is done and trough a democratic way. This is not a Somalia of the post-colonial times, I do not believe dictatorships and nepotism will work for a second. And through that I believe a new page has been opened for Abdulahi Yusuf. There is a power sharing agreement, and I believe if Abdulahi Yusuf were to trescend it, alot of people will have excuses to end his bid before he starts. He knows better and so I do believe Beer-laawe will play by the books. I'm very curious as to see how he will be received in Muqdisho though.
  13. Congrats to our new president elect. Long live the Third Republic!
  14. will everybody accepted the results Everybody should. We have to make the distinction between the state and it's head. Siad Barre isn't here, but the Somali Republic is! And in that same thinking, Abdulahi Yusuf might not be here, but Somalia will be. If for anything we have to recognize him for Somalia's future.
  15. This could be the most surprising development in an election in the last century! It looks like Cabdulahi Yusuf, who was aiming to be president for over 20 years, is finally going to president. I learned a very good lesson from this on-going election: If you wait long enough, you'll get what you want.
  16. Abdulahi Yusuf is truly, Mobb said, the comback kid I don't know about Abdiqasim, but Cabdiraxman Jamac Barre got out for a good reason. I'm starting to think Abdulahi Yusuf's money is actually paying off
  17. I, HornAfrique, PROMISE TO ACCEPT WHOEVER IS ELECTED ON SUNDAY 10/10/2004.
  18. ...laakin honeslty I cant see it ever stopping. I honestly think FGM is already shrinking  I cannot think of any Somali family I know that practices it.
  19. I think the young Edwards beat Dick the Prick. Edwards was cool and aloof, even while having his dirty laundry exposed by Cheney. However, I can't say the same for dear Dick. Any mention of the name Haliburton put Cheney in nervous convulsions.
