  1. ^^^Lol jacda ayaamahaan aad bilawday inaad ku dhajisid dadka ka daa.
  2. You might as well not vote if you plan to vote for Nadar  You already know it's not going to make a difference, so what's the point of wasting your time? This is the case of the lesser evil, and frankly all I have to say is "Vote Kerry".
  3. I gues my brother horn is right, the season for spin has begun indeed I think I ment both sides
  4. The other important thing is that Yaloxow is known to be an honest man. Indeed he is! Wasn't he the man who came up with the legendary shoe analogy? One knows that this government will be different when a man such as Muuse Suudi makes such a significant political turnabout This is indeed a big development and gives the survival of this government more hope. With the support of Muuse Suudi, Abdulahi Yusuf and the transitional government can only go forward from here on.

  10. I remember its awesome sight when my family and I were fleeing from Muqdisho to Gedo. We were traveling in a large convoy and Caydid was right on our tails, so we didn't get to stop and "sight see".
  11. Soomaalidu waxay ku maahmaahdaa "Gardarraa ma guulaysto." Ma qirashaa? Just kidding man.
  12. Smith I don't think the question should be whether we bring in foreign troops or not. I think it should be; when is the right time to do so?
  13. ^^^Isn't it though, Mr. cynical?
  14. I guess it is that time again  Just warning you nomads to get prepared.
  15. hornAfrik – why do you think it is wrong and unproductive? And despite the age-old presumption that he is seen as representing “qabiil†rather than “qaranâ€, are you of the mindset to have the troops (sometime in the distant future), but also against it to protect clan interest? I think it is wrong because it is like eating the candy without taking or even trying to take the wrapper off. Abdulahi Yusuf needs to appeal to the Somali people (especially in Xamar), he needs to tell them what his position is and actually try to implement that position and show that he is fair and balanced, objective and non-partisan. You corner a cat and the cat pounces. That is what Abdulahi Yusuf is doing. If he brings in foreign troops (especially his trusty allies ) then he is aiming to corner the Somali people which, I assure you, will result in a pounce! Whatever his past was, it is not relevant now because Somalia is stuck with the Colonel. Abdulahi Yusuf needs to do a concerted effort to win the hearts and minds of the people. Only then will they trust him enough to disarm and risk being vulnerable.
  16. Smith you are living in the past bro. There will never be another early sixties or seventies/eighties again where all other groups to the exclusion of one were marginalized. Do not make the mistake of being biased and agreeing with everything President (and I say this without hesitation) Abdulahi Yusuf makes. My advice to Jumatu and JB is you supported the process, your candidates lost gracefully now support your government. Smith I would agree with you, but so far President Abdulahi Yusuf hasn't given Jumatatu or JB any reason to support him! Abdulahi Yusuf has yet to convince reer Muqdisho and all other Somalis that he plans to stand for siinaan, midnimo, iyo cadaalad. I truly believe that bringing Ethiopian soldiers into Somalia is a recipe for disaster and Somalis will NOT react favorably. Abdulahi Yusuf should just retire peacefully then bring more buuq if that's the case .
  17. Eritrea due to its similar ethnic and tribal make up where you got large ethicities like the Jabarti and Tigre and smaller ones like the Afar who were against the secession of Eritrea because it would leave them more vulnerable to the rule of these larger tribes. Truly a repulsive line of thinking. Lander thanx for summing up what anti-secessionist have been saying all along. That "Somaliland" is a one clan show using colonization to be big fish in a small pond. And Lander please don't respond with a punt, because your meaning was concise and clear, although not a reality. As for similarities with between Eritrea and "Somaliland"; there is none save for the fact that they are both in the horn of Africa.
  18. Where is Adi Cadeeye? Is it near Las Anod?
  19. It seems as Abdulahi Yusuf is going to be his own ruin if this story is true. Another thing that was interesting is Abdulahi Yusuf's remarks concerning *USC vis-a-vis the prime ministership. Abdulahi Yusuf wouldn't be on anyone's list of people who can ran a 21st Century country (except maybe reer Puntland ), the whole reason why a president was chosen within those in the parliament was because of the fact that they are largely warlords and gacan ku dhiiglayaal, meaning they are the powerhouses of Somalia. They weren't put their because they can read, they were put their because they own a militia! Abdulahi Yusuf's comments about the *USC parliamentarians is like the kettle calling the pot black.
  20. Smith waxa aan filaayo waxee tahay dee inaad taqaan "best man" kaada
  21. Ethiopian Soldiers + Somali internal affairs = A recipe for disaster!
  22. A request for foreign troops is indeed wrong and counter-productive. Most Somali militias are armed to protect their interests and their clan's interests. At this point in juncture Abdulahi Yusuf is seen as representing qabiil and not qaran. He has to establish himself, whatever his past was, as man fighting and working for the common good and interest of the common people. After he gains the trust of the population, I think he should call for troops to help Somalis disarm.
