  1. ...yeah I guess so horn, that must be the reer konfureed pronunciation. Out of curiosity what do you call haiil? is it the same? Lander I call it hayl, but let me tell you that Somalis aren't divided into konfur/waqoyi. Reer Waqooyi, I'm assuming, share the same accent and pronuniciation of things, whils the rest of the Somalis you lumped together as "konfur" are much more diverse. So I guess you can say that's my reer Mudug pronunciation
  2. That is the beautiful Muqdisho I remember!
  3. Mogadishu and those who were born or raised there ,ARE hated n disliked JUST becouse they´re the lucky ones to have lived in the ONLY cosmopolitan city in Somalia So the ones that were forced out weren't born or raised there? Anyways a large, very large, number of my family members live in Muqdisho who are not of the clan you are insinuating to be lucky to be still living there. The past has been forgotten and believe me they face no hostilities or agression whatsoever. They carry on with their lives and businesses and face no obstacles simply because of their clan. Like it or not, Muqdisho belongs to no clan. The reason it is Somalia's most cosmopolitan city is because it was and is Somalia's only true international city.
  4. You better be careful, some folks lurking around in SOL are very defensive about that place (not HA though), you might get your eyes gorged out (I was saved after a similar remark because me is girl , you though are free game ). Best be careful, stubbornness is not their only trait . Rahima what? I thought you, yourself, would be all over Bari now You are a true and, much as you try hard to hide it , a loyal Reer Mudug too. Seeing as how you are a true Mudugian, I wonder where your reer Mudug "traits" went.... It's o.k, I think Smith hijacked them from you
  5. How about 'historical' in the sense that it is a part of our history. And I would have thought you'd be prouder; what with being a nationalist and all... Bari I was just responding to this  : the osmaniya was in use until 1979 before the crooks came into power and to my knowlodge and many others, this is was to show the west and other whites or westerners including russians that somalia could be become like them, and truly it was disastorous for our country, I personally like the Osmaniya script and I believe if it was implemented as our script instead of the latin one, it would have given me more nationl and Somali pride, but I don't see how we can "change" scripts as of the moment and it might even be coutner-productive.
  6. Let's just say I had a good laugh over this while watching the local news a couple of days ago Somalis have become so high-profile in Washington state, that now even ajnabi high schoolers are making a joke of our country

Well, if you know a few and I know a few and Faarax next door and Ghuuled across the street know a few ...it starts to add up doesn't it? It's likely much higher than the figure stated by Nationalist. To say it bluntly Bari......cut the crap.
  8. Xarago mucjiso lasoo dhiray ayaad tahay.
  9. Speak for yourself mate Ah..Ayoub wlc back sxb I have to say that I almost, almost being key word here , missed your little punts at me these past months.
  10. It's important that the Usmaniya script doesn't disappear in Somalia, even though there are still 1000s of Somalis worldwide whom still master the script. Overstatment of the year shall I say? There are a few people that I found who know of the Osmaniya script, and non of them know how to write it. I assume one of the suggestions that will be produced by our 'scholars' in SOL will be something along the line like to put the portrait of Boqor Cali Yusuf in future coins of Somalia.. As for Jumatutu, plz do not politicize events when they don't have to be.
  11. You're making it seem as if Somalis are very literate and have been using the Osmaniya script for eternity. The Osmaniya script was invented about 30 to 40 years before the Latin script become the official Somali script, so I don't think you could call it "historical" in the sense that it was in use for a long time. Besides I think the Latin script is the best solution for Somali, if we want to safegaurd the future of the language and modernize.
  12. Most of those who committed crimes against humanity in S/land are in your background huuno. Somewhere in this thread I expected someone to throw that cheap clanish talk at me, so rest assure Xarago I'm neither fazed nor fettered. I happen to think that your actions are but your actions and should not be judged according to your great-great......great-grandfather or anyone else who might have sprung from him  Anyways Ali Samantar is not from my "background" (assuming you mean qabiil-wise) and so as such you can see the "diversity" in the people who held power before and so therefore don't relegate it only towards a certain qabiil.. I reiterate what I said before, which is that I think this action that is being talked about is sad and are from greedy personalities seeking to gain from the unfortunate circumstances that took place in the north. p.s If suing is the new mode of the day, maybe I should file one with the International Criminal Court against The President of the "Somaliland Republic" for his crimes against humanity concerning the innocent inhabitants of the Northwestern regions of Somalia.
  13. How different can we be for some pple to want to divide somalia? Femme let me be your instructor for Somali Politics 101
  14. I don't think there are Somalis alive who don't think what happened in the north was a genocide, but these recent events are quite preplexing to say the least. If what you want is justice, what is better then the justice of Allah (SWT)? However, suing old men who themselves left Somalia for security is truly sad. Ali Samanter for all he was worth back in his heydays is no better off right now then me or the next person. To sue him for and receive money at the tragedies committed to others is, the say the least, sad.
  15. then how do you expect a change to occur? No need to expect or not to expect.....when the change occurs, I'm pretty sure people's opinion of the person will change. ...thats is if change occurs.
  16. ^^ ciridka dey..war afka isku qabo yusan tisxi ka geline Xarago dee maxaa ku daaray?
  17. HA, can i steal the mudug desert location? Pretty please with cheery on top . It sounds good and i've heard on the ball. loool Rahima Let's compromise o.k  Why don't I change my location to Cabudwaq, The Mudug Desert and yours to Galkacyo, The Mudug Desert?
  18. I see my writings have been taken waaaay out of context and basically my thread hijacked  ...but I still thank u for your input, especially the xalimos
  19. Horn, am yet to see an original argument from you. Such a let down, hon. Sami or Dusty or India whatever you call yourself now  "Somaliland" is non-issue anymore, because there is nothing to talk about. We applaud the north for peace and security, but which part of Somali isn't? Sure there is skirmishes here and there, even in the north, but the overwhelming majority of Somalia is peaceful and all Somalis are progressing. Everywhere you go, people are re-building and its a Somali wide thing, not only a "Somaliland" thing as you and our northern relations yell all the time  The fact is the "Somaliland" issue is only being brought as an issue by...guess whom? Yes, people who hail from there. And why is that  Because I think thats the only way they can come to the table with something
  20. Jumatatu you of all people telling others to take a chill pill is ludicris. No one calls your non-stop opposition (and please don't pretend otherwise) to the new government simply because the president doesn't come from your clan, "gibberish". And I would advise you not belittle others contributions to the forums, even they are in the real world and not in some qabiil fancyland. look yourself in the mirror and come to the sense that you are not bigger than the blouse you are wearing... Meeshaa ka soo oraday iyo meesha ka qaylinaysid is malahan sxb. Excuse me Iam not taking sides here..but the title of the thread is even Erroneous bunch of flaws some want to stick down our throats Somalis stop hallucinating and make peace first. Raula I with you 100% sister.
