entire forces of somalia in battle such balanbale and galdogob and whip some behind. What a laughable and dumb suggestion. "Forces" of Somalia? Sxb Abdulahi Yusuf brought Ethiopian sodliers to massacre innocent civilians in Balanbale just because they shared clan ties with Siyad Barre and you allude to it as a combat? Some of my own uncles were shot dead when Abdulahi Yusuf, having just come from the Ethiopian side of the border, immediately opened fire on the city and somehow the cowardice of Abdulahi Yusuf is a show of strength? Strength to what? Stage an assault on a peaceful city, and not even give the people atleast time to arm theirselves? Balanbale has still not recovered from what the Ethiopian goons that Abdulahi Yusuf lead did to it. I am sometimes amazed at the moral character of some people, and we question why Somalia is like it is today.

MOGADISHU, Dec 16 (Reuters) - A boat docked at Mogadishu port for the firt time in nine years on Thursday but only after Somali gunmen opened fire at the vessel in a failed attempt to prevent its arrival, residents said. The boat turned around and moved out to sea after the militiamen sent bullets spattering into the water around it, but the later docked when the gunfire died down, witnesses said. There was no immediate word on why gunmen opened fire. But residents note the sea port lies in a no man's land between the territories of three Mogadishu warlords: Hussein Aideed, Muse Sudi Yalahow and Mohammed Jama Furuh. The boat was carrying a consignment of goods for a group of businessmen who had spent the past couple of days cleaning and rehabilitating the port voluntarily. Mogadishu's sea port, and its airport, have been closed since 1995 due to militia mayhem. In the absence of the main sea port a private port called El Ma'an north of the capital has dominated the city's maritime trade, which is mainly with Yemen, Kenya and Dubai. El Ma'an is owned by a group of businessmen who have their own militia and weapons to protect their interests. Somalia collapsed into lawlessness with the 1991 overthrow of military ruler Mohammed Siad Barre and has since been without an effective central government. A government was established last month after two years of reconciliation talks among clans and militia factions in the safety of neighbouring Kenya but the administration has yet to return to Somalia to start work.

By REBECCA COOK, Associated Press Writer SEATTLE - The King County Canvassing Board decided Wednesday to begin the process of verifying 573 newly discovered absentee ballots that could change the outcome of Washington's extremely close race for governor. The board has yet to decide whether any of those ballots will be counted, but its move was a victory for Democratic candidate Christine Gregoire, who trailed Republican Dino Rossi by 42 votes after a machine recount. King County, which includes Seattle, is a Democratic stronghold that is expected to be the last of the state's 39 counties to complete a hand recount of all ballots. The recount is expected to be finished Dec. 22. King County election officials said they discovered Sunday that 573 absentee ballots had not been counted because the voters' signatures had not been scanned into the county's computer system. Election workers should have checked the paper files, but instead the ballots were mistakenly rejected. County Elections Director Dean Logan said he believes most of the 573 ballots belong to valid, registered voters. Still to be decided was the fate of 22 other newly discovered ballots. They were found in several polling places in the side bins of plastic bases in which polling machines sit, said Bill Huennekens, county election superintendent. State Republican Party Chairman Chris Vance urged the canvassing board not to count the newly discovered ballots. "None of these ballots should be counted," Vance said. "At the very least, the King County canvassing board needs to slow down and figure out what's going on with these ballots." The canvassing board voted 2-1 to move forward with recanvassing the 573 ballots, a process that will take several days. After election workers determine whether the ballot signatures are those of registered voters, the board will decide whether the votes should be counted. As of Wednesday, with all but the four most populous counties reporting results of their hand recounts, Rossi had gained 81 votes for a margin of 123.

Gabbal replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
usuall cry from the spineless wet bunch known as "human rights organisation" who never come up with an alternatives to dealing with suspected criminals. How daciif we're proving to be  Sxb I guess they weren't a "spineless wet bunch", when those same "human rights organizations" were the only ones speaking out about the genocide happening in the north in the 80's right  "Somaliland" hs no respect for human rights as in the Somalia of yesterday. "Somaliland" has a dictator with a brutal history of killing Somalis in charge just like the Somalia of yesterday. "Somaliland" has sadistic personalities who would even rape and torure an underage teenage girl because of her clan in their midst, while that isn't even the case in the rest of Somalia. Basically "Somaliland" is just like any other region with all its diffuculties and problems in Somalia. The only problem is that "Somaliland" is clan-wise homogenous. -
See here Og, the only head of this opposition group is going to be I, HornAfrique, and no one else  If you insist on claiming the the head position of Rebel-in-command, then you are calling for the breakup of our group. Be ware, I have warned you Why don't you come up with our name since BQS wasn't an instant hit.

Lol Wind I'm just surprised Orgilaqe hasn't jumped your throat yet for calling Abdulahi Yusuf a murderer
-
Orgilaqe is daji sxb, qabiiloyinka daga Zone 5 waxaad u gartaan la'ahay. Although he didn't articulate, when he said "Amhara soldiers", I think he was implying Ahmara as in the ethnic group that have tradititionally ruled Ethiopia and not Somali clans that live in Ethiopia. Besides the fact that Abdulahi Yusuf led a war against the laf that traditionally held the Boqortooya is widely known, I don't know why you are acting like people don't pay attention to news  Horn, bro we have been over this before, I take it that is calling for closure
-
Orgilaqe and Nationalist c'mon. A friend of mine told me he lost an uncle to "Abdulahi Yusuf and his Amhara soldiers" (i quote). You can't deny what happened, and it was only because of reer Qardho and other's noble act that there is much needed peace and development in Puntland.
-
Nationalist no harm intended bro, but do you honestly believe Abdulahi Yusuf was the true democratic leader as opposed to say Jamac Cali Jamac? It is my understanding that when his time was up, Abdulahi Yusuf resorted to violence to stay in his post, and I'm well aware of the massacre that took place in Qardho. However walahi I very much applaud and am even amazed at the level of patriotism that the people of Nugaal and Bari showed, because in the end they accepted Abdulahi Yusuf's rule because they didn't want lawlessness and a mini-civil war flaming in their regions. Abdulahi Yusuf, Puntland, and the puntland people are three different things sxb, ha isku qaldin.
-
Spoken like a true ignorant person Gediid. All of thos places, except for the two small towns are peaceful and developing in the greatest of rates.
-
It cranks our style Sophist my dear bro. We like being the bad guys, it's much more fun. Opposition is more our style; next step is to start arming ourself.
-
So far it's HornAfrique, Og_Girl, Sue, Ameenah, Totti, and Jb in the opposition. I think Nationalist (who was given that post), Bari_Nomad (who wasn't given a post), and others can be persuaded to join. Maybe even Ayoub-Sheikh, etc. I have prepared a name. From now on we will be called Badbaadiyaasha Qaranka SomaliaOnline [bQS].
-
Now there is three of us Wait a minute Og, Ameenah has all but declared her support to the oppositon. It's time we become official. Let's pick a name. Any suggestions Og or Sue or maybe even Ameenah?
-
I'm join the opposition too! Good for ya! Three important powerbrokers and going up. Kiss this government goodbye boys.
-
Bari and Og thanx for the advice, appreciate it very much. How ignorant was I to think that an invisible person writing on a public forum can decrease the hatred people have been accumulating for a long time.
-
All I can say about this story is that only Allah knows what really happened to this girl True, but from the get-go you a stance of falsifyin the information just because somehow, somewhere "Somaliland" was included. About us bombarding the forum Wow! It’s funny you mention this, it was not to long ago you and Smith hade a flood period (Jubba Conflict). Sxb I'm not talking about you posting whatever you want per se, but just the fact that you were tring so hard to hide your hypocritical feelings, which were clearly obvious I assure you . You and Smith were trying so hard to hide your hatred towards each other, at the same time trying to convince us of a (non-existent) Somaliweyn. Sxb I'm not going to be "mean", and say I'm not you  ... but I don't hate anyone much less Smith. Smith and I had a political disagreement, and we know where to cross or not cross the boundry, but sadly you don't. Somaliweyn is existent and much more then you know! Abdulahi Yusuf is the last person I would've have picked as president (I was actually rooting for Caddow), but since he did become the president, I, 100%, hope and pray that this government works and that the Somali Republic's seats in the UN, Arab League, AU, etc, get filled. Only my love for Somalia and its unity that I hold sacred and muqadas, would have had me support Abdulahi Yusuf. Only Somaliweyn did and will. The theory of Greater Somalia, pan-Somalism, is an idea that will be revived and the Somali state will encompass ALL the Somali territories in the horn of Africa inshallah. People can have political difference, which is actually healthy, seeing as how it balances out the policies in a state, but that does NOT mean they aren't patriotic toward their nation. Long Live the Somali Republic sxb (and I hope someday that you lose all your hate and realize that unity is the way).

What took you so long to jump on the bandwagon, after all puntlanders are paying tribute to adeero siyaad by using and perfecting his techniques. Bandwagon? Sxb don't lump me into anything period. Besides your hatred for a certain Clan is so obvious, it's actually sad that you hold that much bottled up feelings for a name  , yes a name, then an actualy individual person. That hatred is actually leading you to make some clearly incoherent remarks such as "Puntlands paying tribute to adeero Siyaad". Hello, "Puntlanders" started the first oppositon movement, but of course you don't really care because they and Siad come together somewhere in the genealogical line don't they? The exploitation of this alleged victim of rape and the advertisement of her picture for political gain is a despicable act that should be condemned. Alleged? So you still don't believe it happened? I won't say you're sadistc, because I'm sure you wouldn't want that to happened to any girl, but I will call you psychological case because obviously the name, yes the name, of her Clan is clouding your judgement and reasoning skills. What is despicable about the whole things is that fact THAT IT HAPPENED PERIOD! What I don't find despicable is the Puntland media highlighting it, because that's what the media IS SUPPOSED TO DO! To bring awareness to issues and make the people aware. It's not the Puntland media's fault that it happened, but it is their fault if they don't bring justice to the sadistic folks that did that to the innocent girl. Somalilanders condemn (and this only a start) the hypocrisy of the remnants of the fascist regime, War yaa ileen balaayo arkay? Sxb what does Siad Barre's decade-plus defucnt administration have anything to do with the plight of this young woman? Ahh, here comes the Clan connection. Truly sad.
-
So let me guess. It has taken ALL THIS TIME to get the "Somaliland" forum or the government to say something about this barbaric, uncivilised event happening under their watch, in their prisons, by their soldeirs and all because the young woman in question is from Puntland  It's obvious what made them respond was not any kalsooni they hold for the young girl, but of a futile attempt to wash the unwashable stain that now clouds their unsuccessful secessionist attempts. Cajiib walahi. I say we should give a salute to the Puntland media for highlighting this atrocious misconduct on the "Somaliland" side concerning the plight of the innocent young girl in question  p.s. Fyr-Kanten, sxb I clearly remember you and same other waqooyi nomads at first denying that such a thing can happen in "Somaliland" , and now you and the other "Somalilanders" are constantly bombarding this forum with articles about the girl in an attempt to convince us of a (non-existent) concern you have for the young woman in question. Truly Sad.

warlords, Horn and OG girl just dont want peace You have just started my oppositon to this doomed government, and to add insult to injury, Juma has just said: Hornafrik is not in the running as he does not have weight within his own clan. WHAT!! You will see my weight when my wrath comes down on you  , I am the Don of my Clan! Don't understate moi ... I can be real threat to the goverment Modana President Marwa Og, It Is Time...lets start perparing our opposition. They have just alienated two of the most powerful powerbrokers (NOT warlords ) in SomaliaOnline! It is the beginning of the end (for the Smith/Jumatatu regime).
-
No sorry mate I had you in line for Security and anti terror Czar I think the ministers should be appointed by the Prime Minister ... and not the President A word of advice for the Wasiirka Kowaad... I am one of the biggest "threats" to this government and too keep my support, it is in your interest to give me one of the biggest ministries in the cabinet and the one which I desire .. ..(hint, hint: Foreign Affairs). Nationalist and Suldanka will jointly head the the governments task force on bringing about peace, love and harmony between Somaliland & Puntland. I think it should be the government's task force on bringing about peace, love, and harmony between Somalia and "Somaliland"...and (no offense ) but Nationalist is not the right person for the job. ...might I suggest Bari_Nomad or Mr. "Non-Threat" Baashi..?
-
This is great news, warlords given the power to control other warlords What a twist of good fate, plus showing some muscle to Ethiopia....I like it  I, HornAfrique, nominate myself for the positon of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Smith/Jumatatu government.

direct interference to halt this senseless clash amid two groups who are the closest of all. One of the other "closest" sub-clans (Abdiqasim's) is calling for that. An army composed of all the "Clan" to forcefully stop the fighting in Cadaado, Gelinsoor, etc.
