  1. 3. Horn don't let Odweyne get to you, you deserve sympathy too. You're a human being too! I don't get why all Somalis take a dump on you. You've suffered so much, why can't people see the light. Sxb my intention was not to make anybody feel forry for anybody, but to show the Landers that they have to open their eyes and see that ALL Somalis have suffered. That's what I'm trying to get across.
  2. Ciidamada cadowga Soomaliya ayaa lagu arkay degaano ka tirsan gobalka Gedo Caveman sxb wayba imaadeen. The reason I posted both articles is to show you the division of Gedonians. When it comes to news about Gedo region, Gedonet (the first article) is affiliated with Isaak Biixi and the SNF while AllGedo is affiliated with Mohamud Sayid Aden and the SNF/SRRC. Gedonet (Golaha Samatabixinta/Anti-Ethiopia) cries of an invasion while ALLGedo (SRRC/Pro-Ethiopia) merely downplays it to a "peaceful coming." It's obvious which I listen to
  3. First Gediid, I am well aware of what transpired in the north and I do believe all of Somalia owes an apology (knowing how meaningless it is now) to the north, but Mohamed Cali Samantar is an old and sick man and suing him for what little pensions he has right now won't be good for anyone. TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE RIGHT SXB. The best remedy for Somalis at the moment is to forgive and forget, simply forgive and forget. The first Somali tragedy occured in Mudug and the northeast, yet, no pun intended, you do not see them suing anyone or dwellin in the past. The second tragedy occured in the north against a clan, I admit, and I would hope they forgive and forget also. The third tragedy, and a severe one I might add, occured in Somalia as a whole and primarily against one clan. I have yet to see anyone from this era still dwelling in that tragedy, and can say they moved on the most. I'm assuming that if my experiences were laid side by side with yours, I would have suffered and seen more tragic things then you would have. There is this one picture that Qudhac showed about a non-relative boy/girl being burned, yet some of MY relatives were nailed to boards, had gas sprayed on them, and burned alive in Baidoa by reer Bay and Bakool. They escaped Muqdisho before us, and we couldn't even stop for them in Baidoa on our journey to Gedo, because Gen. Caydiid and his right-hand Shabeele were chasing us from behind, the reer Bay and Bakool were chasing us from northwestern side, and Col Jess from the southeastern side. I'm not trying make you feel sorry for or something, but EVERYBODY suffered sxb and the best course for us to forgive and forget and move on.

  12. ay be We shouldn't be blaming our problems on Ethopia rather we should be blaming on our Warlords who still can't understand what is it to be a politician,,,,, Willo it's not that they don't understand what it is to be a politician, but that they don't understand how to be a politician. All of Somalia's "leaders" are backward, uneducated, and behind SOB's who, with the help of their clan support (when not butchering them), get a green light to go and mess up the chance of us going back to a peaceful democratic Somalia. Unless Ethiopia is completely exterminated from Somali affairs, I don't see how any warlord/"politician" can whine. When they're not giving support to Cabdulahi Yusuf, they're giving support to Suudi Yalaxow or ina Caydiid or any other person. About this particular incident, I'm glad they stood up and voiced international concern, although hypocritically they don't whine they get support from Ethiopia. The more those pawns speak out about their former masters intrusion in our affairs, the less Ethiopia desires that sort of international attention.
  13. U.N. and U.S. Meet To Bring Relief to Tsunami Victims in Africa Donors in Nairobi plan damage assessment for Puntland region 28 December 2004 By Jim Fisher-Thompson Washington File Staff Writer Washington – The United States and other international donors met with U.N. officials in Nairobi, Kenya, December 28 to discuss relief efforts for East Africans affected by the earthquake-provoked tsunami that struck South Asia, killing thousands in Indonesia, Thailand and other nations. Representatives from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) met with the U.N. Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) to discuss relief for the Somalia area. Press reports indicate that the Puntland region may have been hardest hit by the tsunami, which was caused by a tremendous undersea earthquake off Sumatra, thousands of miles from the African coast. As many as 100 African fishermen in greater Somalia may have been lost, according to the BBC. A U.S. government official told the Washington File that a decision was reached at the Nairobi meeting to dispatch a disaster assessment team to the Somalia region ‘that will include Americans†-- a necessary prerequisite to the “disaster declaration†USAID needs to free up emergency funds authorized by U.S. law. Such a declaration has already been made for Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives, freeing up $15 million for immediate relief efforts. In Africa, the official said, the problem is that “we and other donor nations do not recognize any government in Somalia or Puntland, so information about damage caused by the tsunami is sketchy. That is why we are working with the U.N. to get an on-the-ground reading of what needs to be done to bring relief to the region.†Following the collapse in the early 1990s of Somalia’s central government, clan warfare precipitated a widespread famine that brought a U.N.-U.S.-led intervention that ended in 1993. Since then the country has been divided into three parts -- Somalia, Somaliland and Puntland -- none of which are recognized by most Western nations. According to a report by Somalia/USAID nongovernmental organization partners, confirmed by UNOCHO, more than 60 people were killed by the tsunami in Puntland, and the town of Hafuun was completely destroyed and is now surrounded by water. Approximately 1,000 families have moved from the coastal area to higher ground. It was reported that UNOCHA headquarters in Geneva might call for an international appeal for emergency assistance to the Africa region. 14. U.K.'s Blair Mulls Debt Relief for Somalia, Indonesia Dec. 30 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair's government may back French and German proposals to halt debt payments from Somalia and Indonesia, two of the countries hit hardest by the weekend's earthquake and tsunamis that killed 115,000 people in the Indian Ocean. ``We are leading the world in trying to create debt relief,'' Hilary Benn, the cabinet secretary in charge of international aid, said in an interview on British Broadcasting Corp. radio today. ``This is one of the issues the world community will look at.'' French President Jacques Chirac said today the Paris Club of 19 creditor nations should delay debt-repayments by the countries worst-hit by the Dec. 26 earthquake and tsunamis. Yesterday, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said the Paris Club should consider a debt moratorium for Indonesia and Somalia. The group meets next in January. According to the Paris Club's Web site, Somalia has two rescheduling agreements with the creditor nations -- one drawn up in 1987 covering $132 million and a earlier accord drawn up in 1985 covering $39 million. Indonesia has three outstanding debt agreements with the Paris Club after fully repaying four. Those three agreements, drawn up in 1998, 2000 and 2002, covered a total of $15 billion, according to the Web site. Indonesia's total debt to the Paris Club was $41.4 billion as of Jan. 31, 2002. Even before the disaster, Blair had set in motion plans for debt relief for poor nations as a focus of the Group of Eight nations when the U.K. leads the organization next year. ``The government already is involved in helping heavily indebted countries,'' Anne Shevas, a spokeswoman for Blair, said at a briefing. ``There will be a more general discussion about helping heavily indebted countries.'' The death toll in Indonesia could now be as high as 79,940, the Health Ministry has said.
  15. Imaanshaha Ciidamada Itoobiyanka Iyo Samaynta Nabada Gobalka Gedo: An Eye Witness Account. Beryahaanba waxaa soo kordhayay ismaan dhaaf u dhexeeyay odayaasha nabadoonada ah iyo qabqablayaasha ururka SNF-SRRC garabkiisa gacansaarka la leh Itoobiyaanka. Khilaafkaan oo aad u sii waynaaday ka dib markii odoyaasha nabada ee beesha Sade oo uu hogaanka u yahay wakiilka Ugaaska Nabadoon Sheekh Maxamed Xaadle ay soo gabageeyeen heshiiskii mudada dheer qaatay, kaasoo dhexmaray beelihii ku dagaalamay degmada B/xaawo bartamihii sanadkan. Nabadoonadu iyagoo kaashanaya shacabka intiisa kale ayay ku heshiiyeen qodobo dhowr ah oo uu ka mid yahay in la soo xareeyo dhamaan maleeshiyooyinka ka maqan magaalada sida kuwa beesha Howraarsame. Guulaha ay odoyaasha gaareen ayaa noqday mid si wadajir ah uga caraysiiyay saraakiisha ciidamada Itoobiyaanka ah ee xuduuda ku sugan iyo kuwa SNF-SRRC. Sababtoo ah awooda nabadoonada oo ah mida dhabta ah ayaa meesha ka saaraysa awooda dhalanteedka ah ee SNF-SRRC iyo xulufadooda. Iyadoo dhowaanahanba la is waydiinayay jiritaanka ururka SNF-SRRC maadaama uu hogaamiyahoodii Maxamuud Sayid iyo ku xigeenadiisii ay xubno ka noqdeen baarlamaanka dowlada ku meelgaarka ee Soomaaliya, ayaa hadana waxaa soo korodhaya khilaaf soo kala dhexgalay saraakiil beeleedyadii sheeganayay ururka SNF-SRRC ee gobolka ku haray. Saraakiil beeleedyadan oo ay kala hogaaminayaan Col. Baalle iyo Xasan Dheere(Labaduba hadda ka hor laga eryey magaalada B/Xaawo kuna sugan magaalada Maandheera) ayaa mid waliba sheeganayaa inuu yahay ku simaha ururka SNF-SRRC oo jiritinaankiisu gabaabsi ku jiro iyo iyagoo ku kala doodaya in nabadii Baled-xaawo ay soo gabagabowday oo loo baahan yahay in la bilaabo nabadayntii Luuq oo uu qabo Jamaal Xasan Sareey iyo saraakiil kale. Warar xog-ogaal ah ayaa sheegaya in xaaladan ka taagan aaga Daawo ee gobolka Gedo ay sii murugtay ka dib markii uu soo ifbaxay khilaaf u dhexeeya saraakiisha milateriga ah iyo kuwa sirdoonka ah ee Itoobiyaanka ah, kaasoo ku saabsan habkii ay u wajihi lahaayeen xiriirkii ay la lahaayeen jabhadaha Somaalida ka dib samaysanka dowladdii Soomaaliyeed. Saraakiisha sirdoonka ayaa ku doodaya in Somaliya ay dowlad u samaysantay loona baahan yahay in dowladaas la taageero oo si qayaxan ugu sheegay saraakiisha SNF-SRRC oo dhamaantood ku sugan Dolow haatan inay wixii khilaaf ku xaliyaan gudahooda. Halka kuwa militeriga ay doonayan inay sii wadaan xiriirkii aya la lahaayeen SNF-SRRC oo ku wada maaweelo si aysan uga xoroobin gacan ku hayntooda. Wararka Dolow ka soo baxaya ayaa sheegaya in saraakiisha SNF-SRRC garabka Xasan Dheere iyo kuwa milateriga ah ay galeen heshiis hoosaad ay ku keenayaan in hal unug oo ciidanka cadowga Itoobiyan ah la geeyo magaalada Baled-Xaawo, kuwaasoo mudo saddex casho ah halkaas joogi doono, oo ku qasbaya odayaasha in dhamaan maleeshiyooyinka la isugu keeno aaga Malkaariyay oo 7KM u jirta B/xaawo. Arrinkan la xiriira u rarida maleeshiyooyinka ayaa ah mid ku jiray qodobo dhowr ah oo uu soo jeediyay Maxamud Sayid ka hor intuusan xubin ka noqon baarlamaanka. Qodobkan ayaa xudun u ahaa muranka soo kala dhexgalay saraakiisha goobta ee SNF-SRRC. Mr Xasan Dheere oo mudo badan ku dhaganaa qodobkan meel marintiisa ayaa u muuqda haatan inuu ka sito ninka ay aadka isu hayaan ee Koreneel Baalle. Markii ay odoyaasha maqleen wararka sheegaya imaanshaha ciidamada Itoobiyanka ayaa markiiba u fasirtay mid lagu mijixaabinayo dadaalkooda nabadeed laguna abuuranayo qalaalase cusub oo dhex mara beelihii heshiiyay. Waxaase la yaab leh in odoyaashii iyo dadwaynihii la rafaadsanaa colaada iyo abaaraha iyo nabadaynta lagu amray inay diyaariyaan martisoorka ciidamada cadowga Itoobiyanka ah ee imaanaya. Xamdi A.Cali Gedonet, Daawo, Gobalka Gedo

  18. Nayruus, war Qurac wuxuu isla waynaynaayo maadan garan Qurac believes that now an Ethiopian-backed president has been picked, the Arab states will fall in line to "recognize" the secessionist attempts of the north Qurac let me just tell you that just as Ethiopia (Somalia's #1 enemy) turned a blind eye to "Somaliland" when the Arab-backed Abdiqasim was president, the Arab states will also turn a blind eye to "Somaliland" during this Ethiopian-backed president's tenure. The West has and will always ignore Somalia, but the ones that give real financial, diplomatic, and political support to Somalia and our fledgling governments are the Arab and Muslim world. The only difference now will be that maybe Abdulahi Yusuf, if he sticks to Ethiopia, will not do as much international visits or be promised as much money as Abdiqasim had. Sorry to say, but "Somaliland" does not even enter the equation. Any government that is going to be supported has to be based in Muqdisho
