  1. I think the attention is what they are looking for. The more they are ignored, the faster they realize no one cares about the Shaytaan talking within them.
  2. ^True walaal but the poltician in me wants to address one last point. SB's response to my statment him and his friends here could not differentiate nor distinquish between Islam (a religion untainted) and Muslims (worshippers who are mere humans): Actually I DO. Obviously you and other jaundiced folks here don't. I don't blame jewism for what jews are doing to muslims in Palastine, that is not REAL jewism. Same with america, I don't hold them responsible for the baleful results of their cavalier gun-ho and hegemonist policies, that is not REAL americanism. Don't you agree with me? No, you did not understand walaal as you would not have come out with such a handicapped analogy. "Jewism" nor "Americanism" do not exist. I would hope you meant zionism and capitalism in those terms. You should not blame "Jewism" for anything because the Jewish religion does not exist today nor does what is going in Palestine have anything to do with it. As a matter fact, it is the Jewish people (the race/ethnicity) not the Jewish people (Orthodox worshippers) who are causing all problems for the Palestinian people as a result of being guided by a political concept called Zionism that started out not on the basis of religion but nationiality with a set form of rules mirroring that of the apartheid. As for Americanism; what is Americanism? Such a thing does not exist nor can you compare to a religion such as Islam with a clear set of tenets and laws. Rather what you had ment was capitalism and its overlords at various ruling corporate headquarters in the U.S. I still do not understand how you could have, displaying such ignorance, laughed as if you had made a point. What a delightful show of the critical thinking and aptitude you have displayed here for us. Johnny: Dude, you have beliefs that are different from most people on this forum. That's fine. Everyone knows that and you're obviously free to do so. But if you're really here to have a real discussion, then you should take it up with Sheikh Nur or any of the other knowledgable nomads. Didnt Nur challenge you to a debate a while back? Be a man, and take it up! You don't say?
  3. ^"ED", the study is clearly an asset to the innate side concerning human attributes being recieved at or prior to birth.
  4. These indivituals doesen´t seem to understand how to critically think and obviously lack aptitude,so they´ve difficulties understanding views that rock and shake the very shaky ideology of which their weak view points lean on. If I have never seen a more contradictory statement! We have "difficulties" "understanding" views that shake our foundation and ideologies of which our view point leans on not because of our sound Iimaan (ilaahay haku siiyo) but because we "lack" critical thinking skills and and we "lack" aptitude (pray aptitude for what)? JB, walaal, ilaahay haku soo hanuuniye waa lagaa dhexhadlahayaaye.
  5. Kafaaxiye waan is naqaan. Your game is see through. Khayr/Abraar Shaydaanka qof u duufsaday Alaa tacaalaa kali yaa soo hanuuninkarayo. Iimaanki baa ka tagay, qalbigooda baa adkaaday, wadnahoodi baa madoobaaday. Calaa kuli xaal, sow Ayaan Xersi Cali Somali ma sheegato, then SB and JB maxaa loola yaabi? Ayaan justifies her anti-Islamic stance because her family forced her into an arranged marriage that was not necessarily sanctioned by the Islamic religon, so unless JB and SB backgroundkooda la ogaado, we will never get to the bottom of this frusteration toward Islam brought on by, in my humble belief, negative human experience. Also, I find it quite extraordinary how those nomads along with Ibtisam failed to make the distinction between the religion (Islam) and the worshipper (Muslim). I sense alot of their anti-Islamic positions and grievance have much to do with actions of supposed Muslims as opposed to what is actually sanctioned by the Islamic religion. Do they not know Islam is perfect whereas Muslims are not? Do they not know that Islam has no mistakes whereas Muslims can be prone to making mistakes in how they carry out or do not carry out their religion? Of course they do not know or choose to ignore it, because then they would made the distinction between the religion (untainted) and worshippers (mere humans who are not exempt from making mistakes).
  6. Drawing similarity between Nepal and Somalia By Amod Chandra Gurung Dusty little town Jowhar, which is currently the seating capital of Somalia has very little to signify a capital of such a magnificent culturally rich country at present. Although the city has housed the President, the Prime Minister and the members of the transitional government, it is a temporary capital until the warlords controlling the former capital Mogadishu comes to terms for cessation of hostility amongst each other. Recently, I was having a meeting with a senior political adviser of the incumbent Prime Minister, a very articulate gentleman educated in United States. He was telling me about life before the war. He at times became very emotional detailing how the war had divided his close friends and neighbors as archrivals thirsty for each other's blood. It is ironical that people with the same religion, language and cultural background have fought each other dragging the country into the current sate of chaos and devastation. He also indicated the serious interest of neighboring states in de-stabilizing the country. However, he added the people themselves had provided every opportunity to these de-stabilizing elements to take full advantage. He went on to explain that his country was a proud nation with many countries in the continent sending their civil servants, military and police officers to be trained in Somalia before the outbreak of civil war. Today, it awaits a miracle to stand on its feet again. I asked him one question, what went wrong in Somalia? He enumerated several interesting details of what went wrong but one issue that lingers in my mind till today bears a poignant similarity to the possibility that the same is destined to happen in Nepal. He said the most important reason why Somalia became a total failed state was the inability to find consensus to govern the country after getting rid of Saed Baree who introduced scientific socialism and ruled the country with an iron fist. No one thought what next and how to mitigate the expectations of citizens and provide good governance in the ensuing days after liberation from the dictator. Squabbling amongst groups that collectively fought to get rid of the dictator reached its peak; and position and power grabbing became the only priority of political parties. Fed up with absence of order and Governance, people started to form groups on the basis of clan patronage, which eventually became the order of the day at the cost of rule of law and statehood. As a simple citizen, with the present agitation forging ahead for loktantra or ganatantra in Nepal, the ultimate result for Nepal is definitely destined to the same fate as Somalia. With unparallelled expectations loaded on the simple ordinary citizens, it will require divine intervention to be fulfilled, the divisive trends of autonomous state aspirations and the day dreaming of becoming the President of Republic of Nepal as evident from the interviews of some of the leaders, there is no reason why one cannot see the parallel between Somalia and Nepal. Far from realizing that the track record of political leaderships during the last 12 years was a total debacle, the same faces and the same machinery aspires to mislead the people once again. The other interesting thing that came up during our conversation was failure to capitalize the growing economic potentials of the next-door neighbor. The Middle East just across the red sea was booming with its oil economy, enterprising Somalis established their commercial avenues in those countries and not in Somalia, technocrats and literate people migrated and took refuge en masse to other countries due to the sickening political climate of the country. We are far from realizing the potentialities of the growing economic super powers in the north and south of our borders. The current exodus of technocrats, educated mass and the potential workforce from Nepal shows clear similarities with Somalia of the early eighties. I hope these similarities could be lessons for those who dearly love Nepal and teach them to be serious about the future. Peace and stability is not easy to come by. Reconciliation and rebuilding are not simple issues as everyone envisions. There is a great social divide created by spilling of blood, which will take generations to erode. The destruction of physical infrastructures, no amount of janashramdan can restore it immediately. It is entirely upon us to stop this downward fall, no international super power is going to stop this because we do not have either an oil rich terai or uranium filled mountains or a moral obligation of colonial linkages. I am sure we do not want to give this huge debt of our miscalculations as inheritance to our grand and great grand children to be carried up and down the hills in their dokos. Source:Nepaleyes.

  8. Study Shows Babies Try to Help By LAURAN NEERGAARD, AP Medical Writer Thu Mar 2, 4:16 PM ET WASHINGTON - Oops, the scientist dropped his clothespin. Not to worry — a wobbly toddler raced to help, eagerly handing it back. The simple experiment shows the capacity for altruism emerges as early as 18 months of age. Toddlers' endearing desire to help out actually signals fairly sophisticated brain development, and is a trait of interest to anthropologists trying to tease out the evolutionary roots of altruism and cooperation. Psychology researcher Felix Warneken performed a series of ordinary tasks in front of toddlers, such as hanging towels with clothespins or stacking books. Sometimes he "struggled" with the tasks; sometimes he deliberately messed up. Over and over, whether Warneken dropped clothespins or knocked over his books, each of 24 toddlers offered help within seconds — but only if he appeared to need it. Video shows how one overall-clad baby glanced between Warneken's face and the dropped clothespin before quickly crawling over, grabbing the object, pushing up to his feet and eagerly handing back the pin. Warneken never asked for the help and didn't even say "thank you," so as not to taint the research by training youngsters to expect praise if they helped. After all, altruism means helping with no expectation of anything in return. And — this is key — the toddlers didn't bother to offer help when he deliberately pulled a book off the stack or threw a pin to the floor, Warneken, of Germany's Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology, reports Thursday in the journal Science. To be altruistic, babies must have the cognitive ability to understand other people's goals plus possess what Warneken calls "pro-social motivation," a desire to be part of their community. "When those two things come together — they obviously do so at 18 months of age and maybe earlier — they are able to help," Warneken explained. But babies aren't the whole story. No other animal is as altruistic as humans are. We donate to charity, recycle for the environment, give up a prime subway seat to the elderly — tasks that seldom bring a tangible return beyond a sense of gratification. Other animals are skilled at cooperating, too, but most often do so for a goal, such as banding together to chase down food or protect against predators. But primate specialists offer numerous examples of apes, in particular, displaying more humanlike helpfulness, such as the gorilla who rescued a 3-year-old boy who fell into her zoo enclosure. But observations don't explain what motivated the animals. So Warneken put a few of our closest relatives through a similar helpfulness study. Would 3- and 4-year-old chimpanzees find and hand over objects that a familiar human "lost"? The chimps frequently did help out if all that was required was reaching for a dropped object — but not nearly as readily as the toddlers had helped, and not if the aid was more complicated, such as if it required reaching inside a box. It's a creative study that shows chimps may display humanlike helpfulness when they can grasp the person's goal, University of California, Los Angeles, anthropologist Joan Silk wrote in an accompanying review. Just don't assume they help for the reasons of empathy that motivated the babies, she cautioned.
  9. ^Are you really a "Somalilander"?
  10. ^ My question to you young man was What Entity of theirs is the AU contradicting if it considers the genuine application of the Somaliland State ? You have not answered it yet.And am waiting. Xarago, I sensed comprehension, or lack thereof, was a problem from the beginning hence the reason I sent you back to reread. If you had, you understand the distinction I made between the AU (the organization) and the AU mission (the factfinding group). The AU (the organization) would not be contradicting anything were it to seriously consider recognition of "Somaliland", but the AU mission (the factfinding group) would be jeoparadizing the position of its governing body were it to take a stance or utter political sentiments that contradict those of the said body. My example of Eriterea to you, huuno, was to bring to your awareness( if you have that sense at all) had they gone against that entity when they granted recognition to Eriterea. Wrongful use of the word entity now. I do not know what you mean this statement, but let me just tell you this: the independence of the State of Eritrea, although signed in Addis Ababa, was not signed in the office of the secretary-General of the AU headquartered in Addis Ababa but in the office of the prime minister of the Ethiopia People's Revolutionary Democratic Front headquartered in Addis Ababa. Mark my words, legality holds sway in this day and age. Somaliland can only be guaranteed independence by a mutual dissolving of the Act of Union of 1960. Tolstoy/Oodweyn understands this. It is why has countless said in the past that the future of both "Somaliland" and Somalia are dependent on "friendly" administrations in Hargeisa and Mogadishu without the objections or feelings of the "defeated lot" called into question. I think he wrongly assumes that the people of Mogadishu have opinions concerning the territorial integrity of the republic that are contrary to those of the defeated lot.
  11. For Instance, Johnny the atheist who has clearly rejected the real purpose of life might dedicate his life to feeding the poor because he believes that is his purpose in life, while Fatima the Muslim, might also set out to achieve the same goal, only she knows that this is not her purpose in life but rather a means to achieving her purpose in life (she's performing ihsaan which is a good deed that pleases Allah, and doing that which pleases Allah is worshipping Him). Maashallah, that is powerful Abraar.
  12. ^ Huuno (forgive my misappropriation of your favorite term), quraankii Garbaharey la igu soo afkhriyey hadaad un mar maqlikarayd, cilmi yaraan madan igu sheegikarayn. In la'iska hadlo waa laga roon yahay, in aad ka hadashaa wax aadnaan cilmi u lahayne taasu kasii daran. Eritrea iyo Somaliland is ma barbar dhigikaraysid sa ismaba geeyaan. Af daboolan waa dahab, taani ka laabo cilmi yaraantaad sheegtay kugu laabataye. Please go back to what I said, because I believe comprehension was a problem.
  13. ^I'm 'fraid dad bay xaajadu ku xumaatay. The purpose of thy life is to worship the lord that created thee. The lord that breathed life into me and will take life away from me. The merciful who has helped me see the right path and the benevolent who is constantly watching out for me. The lord of Caalamiin who will raise me up from the dead and judge me for my actions and worship of his highness. My purpose in life is to worship and bow down to Allah Subxaanawatacaala. Acknowledging his power over the Caalamiin and bowing down to his lordship that exists above all things. It is predestined that the believers shall work for their entrance into Janatul Firdows by living a hard life here while those suffering in Jahanama shall have had their pleasure and joy on this temporary earth. Each soul's deeds shall place them where they deserve, but may Allah (SWT) help the blind see the light and the deaf hear the call of Allah, subxaanawatacaala, lord of all the Calamiin. wa billahi towfiiq.
  14. ^You two, cut it out. This is not a political statement. MISKIIN- Ilaahay ha na caawiye, Soomaaliya cadowgeeda waa in laga qabto. Acuudi bilaah, naxdinta igashay uma malaynikaraysi markaan masawiradaa eegay. How can you do such a thing? Markastaad aragti Indhacade Makuu u dhoofi siduu usoo xajiye alahu tacaalaana dadkiisa iyo dalkiisuubha sidaa u xaqtirayaa. ILAAHAYOW UMAMADA KA QABO, ILAHOW KA QABO.
  15. If he indeed uttered such a statement, I sense frustration much more then anything including constructive criticism? Frustration has a result of what possibly?
  16. What will I do for Somalia? Inshallah much more then anything I can write here.
  17. If the AU mission said such a thing that obviously contradicts with the position of the very entity they are representing, I think it is only fair that we see the report itself, would you not say madam Xarago? I highly doubt any AU "mission" said such thing simply because the AU is one of the most bureaucratic political organizations around. Hardly a thing is said outside of chain of command especially concerning some of the most sensitive issues in sub-Saharan Africa: colonial legacy, present-day borders, and ethnic tensions. Things that can start war even now in Africa! However, the report of the mission – which was appointed by former president of Mali and chairperson of the AU Commission, Alpha Oumar Konare – has been kept under wraps and is yet to be discussed by the AU executive council for possible adoption by the heads of state summit. 1. How did he find out about the report? 2. How did he get his hands on a report that has never, supposedly, left the Secretary-General's office? 3. How could the heads of states not request a report on a fact-finding mission they obviously were informed of beforehand? (All missions are publicized and secretariats are informed beforehand.) Anyways the journalist is clearly biased and unrealiable. Not giving us the source the most important part of his article (the AU report) is clearly more then enough evidence. As for those whose day was brightened as a result of a man's opinion written on print, enjoy this one also.

Ahura, stop being cynical. No one said anyone is going to hell. All we are saying is some actions will lead some to hell. What grim future has befallen that sperm and egg. Coming from you, I consider that the greatest compliment one could have bestowed on my person. The only difference between you, Sb, and Jb is that Sb and JB are upfront with their stance.
  19. ^One behalf of the SOL family members who have noticed the baiting game of certain athiest folk, thank you. What's amazing is the that, even though "we" never go after "them", they are always looking for a way to antogonize us. We do not go after them because we know what will be their end, so could they baiting us mean they are not completely sure of how and why their deviation of the right path occurred?
