Personally I dont see anything wrong with spending serious money if the funds are available and you dont have to get up on Monday morning inaad buuga ceerdha sariiftid... The unfairness of the situation arises as you rightly said sis, when the man is the sole payer and the woman is the lady of leisure. If the responsibilities were shared, then maybe the pressure and anxiety would not fall on one person alone. This would contribute toward a healthy relationship. If I had the funds, and Insha'Allah one day I will, I would most certainly pay a considerable amount for my BIG DAY. The guest list would be monitored and I most definitely would not invite more than 100 people. Thus a very private occassion. ~QoxootiMammi~ Thats exactly how i feel.......yeah, some of you are right...i dont think people should spend so much money on a night that might put them in a "not so good" financial situation, but if they can BOTH afford it, and they BOTH want to share their special night with close friends and family, then so be it..........hopefully, if god is willing, i find a great man, that wouldnt mind spending some money on our special day...and i totally believe that since its OUR special day, i should definitely be spending some of my own money as well......basicaly its up to the people, of course you have to use your head, like the saying goes" if u cant buy two, then dont buy one", in other words, if you really cant afford, dont waste your time......so if the two lovebirds want to share their happiness, then so be it....
  7. I think its a great thing......she had a chance to prove herself, and she didnt do bad on the first day....( i'm not much of golf fan, so i didnt get the chance to watch the second day)...apparently she didn't make it , but its alright....i'm pretty sure this was only the beginning for women golfer's all around......
  8. -F- You are idealistic and romantic, putting your lover on a pedestal. You look for the very best mate you can find. You are a flirt, yet once committed, you are very loyal. You are sensuous, sexual and privately passionate. Publicly, you can be showy, extravagant, and gallant. You are born romantic. Dramatic live scenes are your favorite fantasy pastime. You can be a very generous lover Well, i really dont have any examples to prove that these predictions are true................but then again...I LIKE WHAT I SEE
  9. I've been out of schoolfor about amonth now, and what do i have to say for it...nothing.......yeah i probably go out on the weekends, but gosh darnet am i bored monday thru thursday( sometimes even friday!!!).............SOO what would i rather be doing   .....i would rather be traveling like i always do.....probably make my first stop at my hometown( Chicago), and swim at Lake Shore drive's beach...with this new Bebe bathing suit i just bought the other day............**sighs**.....

Thanks in advance It's not my place to say whether marriage should be a goal achieved by everyone( well woman)....cause everyone has different views as to what they want to do with their life...but for me...i do hope to get married one day 2) No i dont think marriage should be the ultimate thing for women..in fat i dont think marriage is for everyone...my friend for example....like me,she gets this sense of fullfillment when she can help others.....and so she decided a few years ago that this was what she was going to do with her life....she told me that shes devoting her life now to help others who are in need, and as harsh as it may sound, she said that a family would only draw her attention away from that dream....she wants to be able to give her all( 100%) to achieving that dream...and i agree with her, having family requires a lot of time and attention and if she wants to dedicate all her time to help other then so be it...." to each their own"..... 3)Actually,i feel pressurred into having a career AND a family...i guess its because of my own family....they came to this country believing that they as well as their children could/and would be able to have a promising future....and i dont plan to disapoint them.....but they also expect me to get married and start a family of my own 4) No i cant.....it's always been a dream of mine to get married and eventually have kids
  11. LOl, some of you guys are really silly.....but this is kind of funny......me and my sister just got through washing our clothes and having nothing else to do, i'm just looking at my clothes going ROUND and ROUND and ROUND in the washing machine, and i couldnt help but start thinking.....how the heck are my clothes getting clean when they are just going around in circles in some water mixed with detergent??? .......that should be like another wonder of the world.....even if we already have eight.....
  12. aww i wish i could share mine...but i honestly can't remember my FIRST date......is that a bad thing or good thing???....anyways, how about i just tell you my most memorable date....yeah i like that one much better.......
  13. i miss the old Curly_ sue...she was so sweet...but now she turned into this psycho looking for all this power........sweetie you got to let go of that "Jiko" thing someday???
  14. "the good guy gone bad" i wont generalize and say that this theory should be put to blame for all the jerks in existence today, because there are other root causes as to why people are the way they are, like for instance sometimes its the environment they're exposed too..... but i wont go into that, i will however say that SOMETIMES the "good guy gone bad" theory can happen....its happened to many of my ex's... My problem was that i was never upfront about my feelings...if i wasnt feelin the guy, i couldnt work up the nerves to admit it to him...so isntead i just led him on, until i felt we were in too deep, and then cut him off, like a loose piece of thread on an old shirt.....yeah yeah, i know...that was dirty ...and it was all my fault....but i can see why some of my ex's act the way they act now....they aren't looking for another commitment...just something to bang!!!...but anyways,i just believe that for either sex, as long as you can keep it real/and be upfront....no games or gimmicks....and ur both looking for the same thing...then i dont see a problem...but once u start the misleading, and the games.....it could lead to something u mihg tlater regret....and it can leave a lasting effect with a negative outcome
  15. To determine whether or not money will bring you happiness is rather foolish....... No ONE person can utlimately conclude what makes every person happy...we all have different values, interests, and so on... happiness and a sense of fullfillment correlate together, therefore when we actually reach or obtain that sense of fullfillment CAN we state that what MAKES US trully HAPPY.... For me, im at a peak of happiness when i can help others.....when i realize others are in need, it gives me a sense of fullfillment when i can bless them with what i am already fortunate enough to be blessed with....in other words, money can get me the things i need that will benefit others for others, this happiness may be achieved spiritually....they live as simple as possible, and spread their love through religion....( like so many relatives i have) basically what im saying is, there is no way to answer that question( can money bring happiness)...because though we may posess similar emotions, what brings about those emotions can be different for each and every one of us
  16. Originally posted by Abdinuur: Maybe you guys can post their pics online and we'll be the judge of that. Well, I'm not trying to judge the girls, but i wouldnt mind seeing the pics of that girl, uhm, the one that starts with a W......

  21. They had me when i was real young, LOOL, i meant to say that they had me when THEY were real young
  22. Well, i want to be able to have kids while im young, and when i say young, I mean around 20-25. I guess its because of my parents. They had me when i was real young, and they are still young themelves.....and i guess i just want to be able to be like that as well.....i use to think that school, and my future career choices might delay that dream for me....but i know now that its just b/c i havent found Mr.Right, cause i would push back my dreams in becoming a lawyer/politician to start a family anyday.....and when i say anyday, I mean ASAP
  23. There are good looking/sweet guys, in every ethnicity, and nationality, so for anyone to say that certain nationalities are are "uff" and ugly, is just ignorant....u guys really need to be a little more mature....but anyways, Clown, i dont think i'm too good for anyone, especially my own people.....though i appreciate the offer, i have always dreamed ( since i was a youngin' ) about starting a family with a Somalian guy.....its not that i dont want to give any other guys a chance( b/c trust me, i have  ), but turning over a new leaf( is that how u say it, lol)and i want to start a relationship with ppl who share my language, culture, and all that other good stuff......
  24. Well clown, for me its not the looks that some of the Jamaicans I've met that got that me attracted, its really their attitude...the ones i have known were rugged, and thugged out, and i have to admit, it was a bit of a turn on....but i wouldnt go as far as to say that their looks are to blame.......anyway how many times do we have to go over this .....u cant possible know every guy in a single country, so your answers are pointless
