Abu Nasir) 1) Verily, Allaah has created the world and everything in it in order to worship Him alone. He sent the Messenger to call the people to Tawheed and the Noble Qur'aan is concerned with the aqeedah of tawheed in most of its chapters, and it explains the harm of shirk for the individual and the society. Shirk is the reason for destruction in this life and the reason for eternal destruction in the Fire of the Hereafter. 2) Verily, all the Messengers began their call with Tawheed, which they were commanded by Allaah to convey it to the people. He, the Most High, said: We have not sent before you from the Messengers, except We inspired to him that He is the only One worthy of worship, so worship Him. [21:25] The Messenger of Allaah stayed in Makkah for thirteen years while he called his people to the Tawheed of Allaah and he called to Him alone without associating anything with Him. It was regarding this issue that Allaah revealed the following verse to His Noble Messenger: Say: Verily I call to my Lord and I do not ascribe any partners to Him at all. [72:20] The Noble Messenger brought up his followers upon Tawheed from the time of childhood and he said to the son of his uncle, his cousin 'Abdullaah ibn 'Abbaas: "When you ask, then ask Allaah, and when you seek help, then seek help from Allaah." [Hasan Saheeh, Tirmidhi]. This Tawheed is in reality the religion of Islaam, which is built upon it, and anything other than it is not accepted by Allaah. 3) Verily, the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) taught his Companions to begin their call to the people with tawheed, so he said to Mu'aadh ibn Jabal, when he (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) sent him to Yemen: "So let the first thing you call them to, be the testification that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah." And in another narration: "...that they worship Allaah alone." [bukhari and Muslim] 4) Tawheed is embodied in the testification that "None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah." Its meaning is that there is no one who is worthy of deserving worship except Allaah, and there is no worship except that which the Messenger of Allaah came with. Iris this testification which allows a unbeliever to enter into Islaam, since it is the key to Paradise, and the one who testifies to it and believes it enters into Paradise as long as he does not invalidate it by shirk or a word of disbelief. 5) The disbelieving Quraish offered the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) kingship, wealth and wives and other than that from the pleasures of this life in exchange for him abandon the call to tawheed, and abaudon the attacks against the idols. However, he did not desire that from them, rather lie continued his call and endured the onslaught along with his Companions, until the call to tawliced was victorious after thirteen years, after which Makkah was conquered and the idols were destroyed. The Messenger of Allaah # recited Truth has come and falsehood has vanished, surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish. [17:81] 6) Tawheed is the preoccupation of a Muslim in his life, so he begins his life with Tawheed and he ends his life with Tawheed. Ilis task in life is to establish Tawheed and the call to Tawheed, since Tawheed unifies the believers and gathers them upon the statement of Tawheed. So we ask Allaah to make the statement of Tawheed (Laa ilaaha lila Allaah) our last words in this world and we ask Him to gather the Muslims upon the statement of Tawheed. Ameen It is reported from the Prophet that he said: "Whoever meets Allaah without having associated with Him in anything will enter Paradise and whosoever meets Him associating partners with him in anything will enter the Fire. At last one good topic in the general section that one can dig his teeth into. Is it me or is this place losing quality for quantity? What I am about to say is not an attempt to preach nor to show a hollier than arthou attitude but rather rememberance for those who believe and remembrance for myself too. In an attempt to contribute to your pertinent question why people losing their deen? I would like to say the main causes are simple, lack of adhering to Quran and Sunnah. The Prophet (SAW) warned Muslims about this in his last sermon. He (SAW) warned of the fitnah of this dunya, the trials and tribulations to come such as gambling, backbiting, fitnah of women, misguidance, inventing newly things in religion, and told people to stick to Quran and Sunnah then they will be saved. However, many of us Muslims do we really follow Quran and Sunnah? Do we really have good knowledge about Quran and Sunnah? To realise our situations we must sentence ourselves, am I really obeying Islam? There are two parties in this world, the party of sheytan whom are the losers. And the party of Allah (The believers)whom are the successful. However, it is not for us to judge these people or to deeply think about their situations because you will not be asked of them, every man is for himself in the grave. Preferably, it is better to start the correction with yourself by learning Islam and start praying to your God (Allah). Islam is like the best fragrance, if you have it, it well smell good to others. Salamu 3alaykum, Alas there seems to be a new revolution that has started within hardcore Muslim youth where more and more are getting arranged marriage. The definition of arranged marriage being used for the purpose of this topic is not where parents force you to marry your cousin or similar circumstances. Rather my definition is based upon the utilisation of distribution channels such the local Masjid, family and friends networks to find a suitable marriage material person. For example, one can simply outline to a local sheikh the qualities he is looking for in a wife and bobs your uncle the details are matched with a suitable partner and the rest as they say is history. Does this mean the end of the nonsensical dating game before marriage? Whereby youth are committing haram by believing they are testing different partners to see which is more compatible before marriage. During the dating process a lot of time is wasted using trial and error methodology. Mathematically disproving these claims, consider a scenario where someone can try 100 dates = 0.01 chance of finding suitable patner or 1,000 different people in a 1,000 different dates which the events are not mutually exclusive and still the probability of finding a suitable person is 1/1000 = 0.001, the probability of finding someone suitable is actually decreasing as more dating occurs. In addition, most of these dating situations end in dire and wretched manner. Furthermore, the misconception that one has to really know 100% about who he or she is going to marry, their habits, and their mistakes and so on is rather a non-starter argument. The evidence of this statement being a non-starter is a simple one if one uses rational reasoning. Regardless of how well one might know someone this itself can never guarantee a successful marriage. How many Somali people are married to their cousins whom they knew well since they were toddlers and still the marriage ends up in a disenchantment failure? Rather a successful marriage is one that is based upon Islam. Statistics clearly show that arranged marriages are less likely to conclude in divorce. Because early on in the relationship the partners try hard to learn about each other and this adds a spark to the relationship early on. Also, as long as the criteria for marriage are based upon solid Islamic values then with the help of All-Mighty Allah one cannot go wrong. Finally, true love does not come from dating but rather true love is the love for the sake of Allah. Therefore, if someone goes into an arranged marriage contract in a Masjid looking for a good Muslim patner strictly upon Islam then he or she will be satisfied. This short paper is merely an argument for arranged marriage no one is being forced to comply with the above arguments. Seriously speaking if you wish to find a woman who will sit at home for you all day washing, cleaning and cooking for you then I think you are day dreaming and are living in a utopian world. Unfortunately, in the west as che-guevera said women are competing more with men. In where I am from, in good old England, approximately 54% of workers are women, the rest being men. Thus, western women are becoming breadwinners in the family and therefore adopt the notion that they have no need for a man in their life. In addition, most of the English people, both the women and men have to work to pay for a luxury life, a semi-detached house, a lexis car, swimming pool and so on and so forth. Nonetheless, the increase in part-time work, the rise of regulations covering equal opportunities have led to think that the western women are empowered and they believe now they are equal to men; they go out and seek careers in the meantime delay marriage till they are professionally established. However, this is all but hype and nonsensical false hope given to them. My evidence for this statement is simple take a look at the family break ups, divorces, cheating by spouses, and the rise of debts in the west. If one was to utilise rationality and common sense he or she would recognise that Islam has distinguished a role for women and a role for men. Men are the protectors of women in a marriage and must supply them women with food, shelter and etc. The woman has to take care of the husband’s property and raise children with the husband. If the woman wants to study, work, get a PhD, whatever she is permitted as long as she does not neglect her duties towards her children and husband and the same goes for the man.
