ElPunto;790179 wrote: ^Seriously? How do you not blame the kid for his reasoning - Does that even make sense? Is it an Islamic worship song? How does he know it's another God? Where did worshipping another prophet enter into this? Whether there is a religious free environment in school has nothing to do with anything as long as you can opt out. This story is typical of the moronic flaming that is prvalent in the USA when the subject is Islam or Muslims. I do not blame the kid if he chooses not to participate anything that resembles religion in public school. The possibility of islamophobia or ignorance about Islam is another issue. I think we are missing the point if we only chose to dwell on this kid's ignorance about Islam, heck the entire country is misinformed about Islam. The idea is to keep religion out of public institutions, and again, this is to our benefit.

Lol, planking macawis-style.

I do not blame the kid. This speaks to the greater point of religion and public schools. It becomes slightly hypocritical of us to oppose school prayers, and then act all surprised when school kid does not want to sing religious song. It is not even about Islam, it has much to do with providing religion free public schools for kids, and we as Muslims stand to benefit much from this.

You breaking news amounts to zilch compared to the fiasco caused by the German psycho. Corruption is widespread in Somalia, and bribing few guards with porn should hardly raise brows. Naqtiin ku sameeya wuxuu Mr. Somalia said, he had ready made counter for your nonsense. Regardless of the fact, it is horrible and should not be condoned. But I will not also condone hypocrisy and embellishments. I do not understand the use of this forum to incessantly attack PL, or SL for that matter. Puntland Defense League or Puntland Anti-defamation League condems these attacks- all attacks on Somali regions and Somalis.

Desperation is the mother of all-frustrations. Fallacies and false prophesies will not not destroy PL. These fellows masquerade hate with three year old articles, and still stand by it today to justify.

The greatest measure is consistency, he has done well for now, his progression remains to be seen.

Seems to me that AS has attracted whole a lot of attention they do not need. I can see the US getting more involved in the horn.

Somalis are not cool, wasn't cool they humorized his genuine concern, but then seemed like he found himself pretty funny.

Che -Guevara;787442 wrote: ^You are assuming TFG is well run machine with foresight and an actual political agenda. Not at all. I assume they would have the political common sense of winning the perception-war, now that AS is defeated militarily, the TFG will have to at least rhetorically compete with them to undercut their legitimacy- there are masses of people that see AS as legit org- by turning their military victory into the bigger perception of powerless/irrelevant Al-Shabaab. At the very least that will dampen AS's suicide recruits. Moral rhetoric basically.

As idiotic as this union may seem to us, this clearly serves Al-Qaida's short-termism agenda of recruiting international. Not surprised this happens at a time when Al-Shabaab is in decline, obviously an attempt to shore up AS. But the sad part : the TFG and the rest of us are always caught in WTF moment, and then find themselves reacting to the adjustment. We shall see how this helps though.

Somaliland has a special status at the Conference in London
Sensei replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Xaaji- Really ? All the English man did was to address "the question" of the "regional authorities" and their participation, and the international community's intent to help in development of the regional authorities, basically hinting at the Dual Track Policy. -
You get the middle finger for your pretense, JB. *JK*

The author runs and owns the Jaale Siad Barre Presidential library; his historical perspective and interpretation of events are pretty obvious. That being said, Siad Barre's legacy- may he rest in eternal peace iA- will be judged against those that preceded and those that followed him. Although, Barre will burden most blame or benefit, history will judge the countless cronies that reproduced his tyranny- Cronies that were of all tribes and clans. I guess it remains to be read to pass any comment.

Amin Amir does more than caricaturing, he is possibly better known satirist in our time. There has always been some truth to his satire be it Faroole, the Shariifs, AY, PMs, or otherwise. He stays above the fray in being concerned citizen, and not as pseudo-public-figure with an agenda to pedal- other than that of the common Somali agenda. Kudos to AA!

Lool.....marbaa waxaan maqlay nin ay afkiisa iyo dhagahiisa ismaqlin. If the above does not make sense to you, Somalilad shouldn't make sense either. Can't be serious with the above, hoping you were attempting at some manner of sarcasm.
