  3. Glad you liked it. Well, we have a smart blonde for once.
  4. ^^^Huyo Mchagaa mjanja kweli.Mwangi kaniacha kwenye mataa I though maybe something he concealed underneath his clothes or something. Dada karibu They never end to surprise us

  7. ^^^His famous book was titled the Quran,Bible and science(or Modern science  ). He compared the 2 holy books and managed to prove that the Quran was the Word of Allah and is in accordance to the laws of Science(All part of Allahs plan).
  8. Asalaam aleykum JZK Sister SSue, Ive heard before of this consistancy-(gramatical & mathematical) which only Proves the Quraan is a miracle from Allah. Though I dont remember the values. There is a verse in the Quran which says Nabii Adam is like Nabii Isaa and has been proven to tally-as in their mentioning in the Quraan. Likewise the mentioning of Prophet Mohamed SAW and Prophet Musa also tally.
  9. ^^^^ i second that. Supposed to be a peaceful haven.
  10. Guy gets on a plane and finds himself seated next to a cute blonde. He immediately turns to her and makes his move. "You know," he says, "I've heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger. So let's talk." The blonde, who had just opened her book, closes it slowly and says to the guy, "What would you like to discuss?" "Oh, I don't know," says the guy. "How about nuclear power?" "OK," says the blonde. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff--grass. Yet the deer excretes little pellets, the cow turns out a flat patty, and the horse produces muffins of dried poop. Why do you suppose that is?" The guy is dumbfounded. Finally he replies, "I haven't the slightest idea." "So tell me," says the blonde, "How is it that you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know sh1t? Disclaimer: This is just joke!
  11. Haya asanteni. Nawapa another brain teaser kutoka home. Checkmate!!! Mwangi comes up to the Kenyan border on his bicycle. He has two large bags over his shoulders. The guard stops him and says, "What's in the bags?" "Sand" answered Mwangi. The guard says, "We'll just see about that. Get off the bike." The guard takes the bags and rips them apart; he empties them out and finds nothing in them but sand. He detains Mwangi overnight and has the sand analyzed, only to discover that there is nothing but pure sand in the bags. The guard releases Mwangi, puts the sand into new bags, hefts them onto the man's shoulders, and lets him cross the border. A week later, the same thing happens. The guard asks, "What have you got?" "Sand" says Mwangi. The guard does his thorough examination and discovers that the bags contain nothing but sand. He gives the sand back to Mwangi, and Mwangi crosses the border on his bicycle. This sequence of events is repeated every day for three years. Finally, Mwangi doesn't show up one day and the guard meets him in a cafe in Nairobi. "Hey, Buddy," says the guard, "I know you are smuggling something. It's driving me crazy. It's all I think about... I can't sleep ... Just between you and me, what are you smuggling?" Mwangi sips his drink and says, "Bicycles."
  12. I say mabezo hayo makali Salala duh. Asanteni Here is sometin to ponder about. ndo hali za nyumbani.....FACT OR URBAN LEGEND? There was this case in Kenyatta National Hospital Intensive Care ward where patients always died in the same bed and on Sunday morning at 11a.m.regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought that it had something to do with the supernatural no one could solve the mystery..... as to Why the death at 11AM? So a world-wide expert team was constituted and they decide to go down to the ward to investigate the cause of the incidents. So on the next Sunday morning few minutes before 11 a.m., all doctors and nurses nervously wait outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer, books and their objects to ward off the evil........ Just when the clock struck 11...... Mukhobero Wepumbolo, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so that he could use the socket for the vacuum cleaner. If you think education is expensive try ignorance. Funga Njema!
  13. There may be holes in the topic . But the message is clear Muslims do convert. In turkey, the Alevi community (Followers who follow Seyyidna Ali- Shia) are in a dilemma as a majority of their youth are converting to christinity in large numbers. At the end Muslim youth are attracted to Christinity as more effort in preaching the Injil and the material assistance( education benefits...) are provided by missioners. , u can just convert to Christianity, and then convert back to Islam Islam has strict rulings when a Muslim converts to any other religion --> execution
  14. Golden girl ,I miss the slow paced tarawiih. The mosque i attend (15min bus trip)a ll 20 rakats with the witr is performed in about 1 hour. There is no hushu. And the truth is the majority of the mosques in my city of residence tend to have the same record. The aim is to pray tarawiih and not with the intention of khatimal Quraan. The only option i have is praying at home and is something I wouldnt want to.
  15. ^^ Sister Rahima We in Turkey started fasting on Friday like the Uk. America started on saturday. Guess all got to do with the advancement of astronomy.
  16. Asalaam aleykum To read more of the Quraan and pray more supplimentary salat.
  17. Very true OG - girl even the turks have imitated the celebration idea. The unfortunate thing is the majority do not fast - (there is no overnight shopping nor sleeping during the day) but when you switch on the telly there are numerous Ramadhan special programs mostly sitcoms having people performing music. Oh, and they have these devilish sheikhs who appear on telly and when asked about hamar-alcohol and they tell the folks that they can drink wine after opening their fast. It doesnt affect their state of saum nor against the spirit of Ramadhan. audhubillah.
  18. Regarding watching Tv I think it should be quit all together( or atleast watched in the minumum) even in the everyday life there are but a few programs which you can watch i.e deserve watching. As Ibadet is a continual process it shouldnt only be inforced in Ramadhan but should be ingrained in our daily lives. In Ramadhan what is aired depends with your country of residence really. As not every nation understands the significance of ramadhan. So what is aired may be advantagous for some or disastrous.
  19. If its not a hoax,(she maybe a pygmy  ) it is possible for girls to mature biologically at an early age of 8. So Im not surprised but I do worry of her mental capability and her body's response to such a burden of carrying a being in her.Did I hear twins?? May Allah help her. What was she thinking????
  20. The tale is so horrific  . Audhubillah and we call ourselves Muslims???. When will we learn to treat the weaker sex with dignity. Those people are not human. Even if they have a reason to interogate her they should do it in a humane way.The Quraan and Sunnah which is used as the law has strict rulings on how to treat people. (Surprising thing there is no state of war.)Women and children are not to be harmed. Poor girl, her life has been shattered her innocence is lost forever and she will have nightmares for the rest of her life. May Allah help her in her time of need and help her overcome her ordeal. As Maha has said may action be taken against the wrongdoers.
  21. ^^^^ Amin Ramadhan kariim to all SOLers. May Allah accept our prayers, deeds and keep us guided on the right path, give us all health and make us victorious in this world and the after world. Amin

Serve warm or cold. shatir, Bon apetite Maandazi/mahamri- (East african sweet bread??) 2 cup flour 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast 1/2 cup coconut powder 4 tablespoons of powdered milk(some add also custard powder) 4 tablespoons sugar 2 Pinch salt 2 egg 1 tablespoon margarine 1/2 cup water oil Makes about 4 dozen Sift flour. Add the sugar, salt, coconut powder, milk powder and yeast together. Beat egg well. Stir the egg mixture with the margarine into flour and add water and mix until soft dough is formed. Add more water if necessary. Knead dough in the bowl until smooth but not sticky. Dough should leave the sides of the bowl cleanly. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place about 30 minutes. Roll out dough on a floured board until 1/2-inch thick. Cut into squares, strips, or triangles( dividing it into 4 parts is more practical). Fry in deep fat until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. ^^^^ serve with a stew or can be eaten by itself when warm. Instead of cooking in oil you can bake in a conventional oven as if your baking pastry.
