Puntland is doing well without multi party system. It will take time to mature to multi democracy system. You need strong state, rule of law, educated middle class. All these are missing at the present time. Considering the chaos in Somalia for the past 30 year, Puntland has achieved a lot. Puntland is considered as a recovery zone by the UN, has good relations with TFG and is a force for good for the restoration of the Somali state. Faroole and his sons who become a liability for him was elected for 4 year term and like his predecessor has a good chance of being voted out.
