  1. This is definitely Peacenow or has his disease! Get life !
  2. IF only some of those mothers were not busy with AYEETO/HAGBAD, and got out of Ghettos, their kids might have been saved.
  3. Experience (specially local)far out weigh education. One thing I have noticed though, is that many immigrants are so hungry for education, that they never think, if their chosen field has market in the first place, I know many Eritreans, Ethiopians and Somalis who got PhDs, but could not get a job, and now driving taxis, because of limited number of jobs available locally in their chosen field. And racism of course exist. but as Taleexi said, Keep trying.
  4. I reckon it all depends on individuals, I know what Aliyah is talking about, a grown up guy who is dependent, still lives and is taken care of by his mum, that is totally wrong!, and the same goes for girls as well, One must be independent , responsible, and be able to live alone, regardless of gender at an early age. What about if one lives with mum, and again takes care of all the home duties, and pay the bills? I have left my mum's home when I was 11, and I missed and wished living with my mum. God bless Hooyooyinka!
  5. Fight corruption, Biyo sacabahaaga baa looga dherga, Build strong and reliable national army, Pay the army and public servants on time.
  6. Very interesting, I wonder if Sakiin even saw this article! As a matter of fact Somalis are today safer in Addis Ababa than in our beloved Capital (Mogadishu). Ethiopia and Somalia are neighbors and historically traditional enemies. Given the character of the Ethiopian regime, we are not fated to be friends. Yet we need not be enemies. The real enemies are the warlords who by their own actions caused an ocean of despair in Somalia How does he see the Ethiopian regime now?
  7. what a joke! they did not even serve a week, Madaxbanaanidii Ummada Soomaaliyeed abaheed bay fuudka la cabtey!

  9. Hug machine on show in Japan Updated Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:13pm AEST The Sense-Roid is connected to a jacket worn by the human user that replicates the embrace with the help of air compressors (AFP: Yoshikazu Tsuno) Japanese inventors have pushed the frontiers of technology with the ultimate companion for lonely singles - a wired torso-shaped device that you can hug and that hugs you back. The Sense-Roid looks like a tailor's mannequin with silicon skin and is packed with pressure sensors. It is connected to a jacket worn by the human user that replicates the embrace with the help of air compressors. The illusion of a mutual hug with the half-humanoid is enhanced by artificial muscles and vibrating devices in the tactile jacket, according to the inventors from the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo. "Many people initially feel surprised and uncomfortable about the unusual experience, but they gradually get accustomed to it until they feel comfortable and pleasant," said research team member Nobuhiro Takahashi. "Usually people feel nothing, or they even feel bad, when they hug strangers, but they experience feelings of satisfaction, love and comfort when they hug a boyfriend or girlfriend. "We wondered how humans would feel if they could hug themselves." He added that the device could be used in medical therapy and to give comfort to elderly people living alone. However, there were no immediate plans to put the gadget into commercial production. The Sense-Roid is on display at the 3D & Virtual Reality Expo in Tokyo.
  10. Libaax-Sankataabte;730189 wrote: Baashi, I am not clear as to why Farmajo would be interested in such post, but I presume each individual has a preference. If I were Farmaajo, I would just move on and let the new team have their space. As for radical “accomplishments” under the new team, I just think it is a mute exercise to anticipate tangible deliverables from an expanded cabinet at such a short period. Abdiweli is a good man, but under the Kampala accord there is just not enough political capital under his belt to alter the political reality back home. We shall see. Farmaajo should take a post, If he was interested in PM job to help Somalia, now He has the experience to make some changes, and being part of the team will help Somalia, No issue with the down grade.
  11. ^Yes, he is very good resume, the first PhD Somali Prime Minister, But I don't think any of those is a silver bullet to Somali problems, what will count is not his CV, but can he do the job. Wish him all the best, and yes I think Farmaajo should be given a post in the cabinet. http://www.niagara.edu/assets/Uploads/Ali-vita-Oct-2010.pdf
