She turned a prostitute later in effect. She was still a child when she attended the university and an adult companion had to be there, of course, but it might well illustrate how ultra-religious parenthood can ruin things in that respect. Do you think all those with a male relative would be like Sufiah ? People have different opinions of how they should treat and raise their sons/daughters? Some trust them and have confidence in them, some are over protective, and would not be comfortable sending their daughters alone, some are not bothered or concerned if their daughters are being shagged by every TOM at uni, some girls would want their brother to with them and and feel secure with them at college. I see and understand all these different cases.
  3. Nuune, problem is already solved, Libya unlike Afghanistan, Somalia, is very rich, and already western countries opening their embassies in Tripoli. Things are normalizing and money is problem solver. Sirte is beiing surrounded, and war is almost over.

  6. An elderly Somali woman begs for assistance as she waits with others to be registered as refugees in Doolow, south western Somalia. Iran has dispatched an 80-ton humanitarian aid shipment to famine-hit Somalia as part of attempts to help the people of the African country. The eighth relief aid consignment of the Islamic Republic to the Horn of Africa nation mostly includes medicine and sanitary items, Manager of Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Public Relations Pouya Hajian said. Earlier in the day, Somali Minister for Women and Family Affairs Maryan Qasim Ahmed expressed gratitude to Iran for delivering humanitarian aid to the drought-stricken country during the harsh conditions facing the African country. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi visited the famine-hit areas of Somalia on August 23. The United Nations has warned that more than thirteen children out of every 10,000 aged less than five die in the Somalia famine zone every day. "This means that 10 per cent of children under five are dying every 11 weeks. These figures are truly heart-wrenching," UN representative to Somalia Augustine Mahiga told the UN Security Council on August 10. Somalia has been worst affected by famine in the Horn of Africa, which has also hit parts of Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Djibouti. Somalia has not had a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew the country's former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. AS/MGH
  7. This is nothing but merely another project to milk international donors, what is the agenda of this meeting? and what does it mean half in Mogadishu and Half in Garowe? Agree, this is another Majiga project, and mark my word, it will yield nothing, Why can't the Somali people do it themselves without Mahiga and Sh!t!
  8. I would outlaw all these toys, Nation needs rehabilitation

Could you tell us when this picture was taken? and where? Medvedev and Putin changed positions? We don't have to urge for the sake of urging. Anyway, Chavez is both head of the state and head of the government, Medvedev and Chavez can meet, Sharif can meet the Turkish Prime Minister, But is he the first to welcome him at the airport? What is the role of the Somali president and that of the Prime Minister?
  12. President of Somalia - Head of State Prime Minister of Somalia -Head of the government. That is very simple, and basic.

I reckon Somalina you are as confused as TFG government, This issue is not big deal, and we have many more pressing at hand at the moment, but I started this topic merely to show the inconsistent and lack of understandind and not adhering to the constitution by the TFG leaders, This was the cause of many conflicts and if not addressed will bring more issues.

I know far too well, the well being of the children is paramount, squaring three meals, security, shelter out weight the cultural or even intellectual needs at this stage...I am just heart broken that it had to get to this - today Somali children had to be auctioned as 'available' because we have failed them. ps.There are no gurantees that if adopted their lives will be better, then if they were on the streets of Mogadishu. I know, I know...weak argument under the circumstances...a sour pill to swallow I must say! I believe a child is better with their parents despite their conditions - there is something unique a child feels/gets when they are with their birth mother..no amount of pampering from another individual fills that void. I say, help the parents - help their children. Ok, I am mumbling. Does that mean staying with parents is better even if you face starvation? It is one thing to make sure that there is a proper system to protect these kids, but I wish them luck, and hope they find very speedy adoption process. Turkey is rich country.
  15. It is better for these kids to be in a place where they get three meals a day, and proper childhood, better than the not sh!t hole with no future if they make it thru famine/war.
