  1. They've been gripped with fear lately, I don't think we should negotiate, just clean up the trash they brought to Las Canood and keep them in their triangle and move on with progress. I don't think a single bullet or bomb should be wasted in places like Hargeisa or Burco which don't produce anything aside from addicts.
  2. LOOOOL, these little monkeys are panicking so they went to copy Puntland's move. You can't dig what you DON'T have lol. Sadly only khatland sources are reporting this.
  3. ^ Is this a JOKE? Seriously? if i could take a wild guess- there have been violent, and more bloodshed in Muqdisho since the arrival of these religious fanatics... So 20 years of warlord rule had nothing to do with Mogadishu's bloodshed? Some people in this world, I won't name names or groups, but they think the world started in 2006.
  4. It is a priority for President Faroole to liberate the region of Sool from the khat-induced occupiers.
  5. They were six aircraft to be delivered, not 12...stay up to date.
  6. By MATTHEW LEE Thursday, December 2, 2010 WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration raised concerns Thursday about a private military force aimed at combatting piracy in northern Somalia's semiautonomous Puntland region. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said the U.S. has been aware of the operation, but is not involved in any way. He said the U.S. has unanswered questions about the backing and purpose of the project, which has begun training an armed force of up to 1,050 men in Puntland. "We are aware that Puntland authorities have contracted with a private security company to assist them with counter-piracy in the region," Crowley told reporters. "We were not consulted about this program. We are not funding it. We are concerned about the lack of transparency regarding its funding, objectives and scope." Crowley said the U.S. is seeking more information about the force, which officials in the region say is being trained by a private security firm called Saracen International. The Associated Press reported Wednesday that the force is being funded by an undisclosed Muslim nation, which has hired a former CIA officer and a senior ex-U.S. diplomat to help with its creation. The new force's first class of 150 Somali recruits from Puntland graduated from a 13-week training course on Monday. It is to be equipped with 120 new pickup trucks and six small aircraft for patrolling the coast. In September, the Obama administration said it planned to broaden its outreach to Puntland and another semiautonomous Somali region, Somaliland, as part of its efforts to help restore stability in Somalia. U.S. officials did not detail what the outreach would entail but said it would stop short of recognizing the two entities as independent countries. The presence of the force has raised concern among some in the region who note that Somalia hasn't had a fully functioning government since 1991. The country is torn between clan warlords, Islamist insurgent factions, an 8,000-strong African Union peacekeeping force, government forces and allied groups. Source: AP Does Washington have reason to worry? Is Puntland's mysterious Muslim donor nation someone suspicious to US policy?
  7. An overhaul of the military was long overdue, and Puntland should've received aircraft years ago.
  8. This is either pathetic or funny, I just can't imagine a man of age 60 pretending to be a member of a fictional state. Pathetic or funny? Maybe both. I wish him better days than begging in vain.

  10. This guy is taking the mick, Bosaso has more diversity than Hargeisa and he's trying to talk about Xamar. Sometimes I wish these guys stuck to their local tribal politics, they can't grasp anything beyond their tiny playground.
  11. What's on? Recognition got called off.
  12. Originally posted by Libaahe*: Mogadishu's natives should be respected as their rightful city. All those non natives causing havoc should exit it. You are the guy that said the tribal cities of Hargeisa and Burco are for all Khatlanders, but Xamar of 1.5 million can't be shared? lol. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with these people. Xamar has no "natives" - it is not a tribal village like Hargeisa or Burco.
  13. The story has already been deleted by GalgalaNews staff. No point in discussing it.
  14. This government should've been constructed in 2008, it is a little too late now.
  15. Don't laugh guys, I'm gonna try to help you understand Libaahe's logic: -Mohamed Abdullahi Omaar, part of a journalistic dynasty, and educated background, is not good enough to run for a low level position. -Dahir Kaahin Riyaale whose only qualification was torturing a few reer Waoqyi boys in 1986 became president of Somaliland. Does Mr. Omaar need to torture a few boys in Berbera to get some respect in those parts?
  16. This is the most disgusting thing ever. These guys have a slave mentality. The white guy is wondering if these adoons still have their leashes.
  17. Why don't they consider the port Bosaso? Siad Barre never built Bosaso to handle large scale shipments. Only Kismayo, Berbera, and Xamar were built by the regime to handle industrial and military equipment. Bosaso was only built as a small merchant port and wasn't expanded until the locals did it themselves in the early 90s. That's also the reason why Ethiopia chose to annex Berbera, it is a full industrial container port unlike Bosaso which is a regional merchant port. The lanes of Bosaso port are very narrow, so there's some great limitations in importing/exporting large numbers of containers.
  18. In a perfect world, Maakhir would be a big issue, in fact I lobbied for Gen. Ilkajiir to be Puntland's next president. But, there's the issue of cost vs. benefit. Maakhir region is desolate, without roads, and not strategically placed. Its not that other cities in Puntland get special attention, its that their geographic placement offers advantages to them and this is appealing to the state.
  19. http://wcco.com/local/first.somali.immigrant.2.1995230.html Somalis everywhere should be proud of this man, a proud native of QANDALA.

We do not take personal time to divulge the matters of the worthless secessionist region.
  21. The embargo is on Xamar-based warlords and secessionist trash, there is no embargo on the guardians of Somalinimo.
  22. Wiil Cusub, the link you provided is entirely recorded in the Khatland shilling, how am I supposed to do conversion for a toy currency?
  23. You haven't monopolized anything. The most previous data has Berbera just 5% above Bosaso in terms of livestock exports. Berbera has 2 facilities right now and Bosaso's second facility is near its completion stage. You had a chance to monopolize but you let weak leadership get in the way. Good luck to Berbera, I hope to see it return to its former glory.
  24. Qudhac, pirates are extremely successful, with annual revenues that double Somaliland's budget, so its definitely a smart change. Will Berbera's livestock investment pay off enough to bring the port to Bosaso's traffic levels? We'll see.
