Hi my Somali brothers and sisters, I know marriage is important. As educated sisters and brothers, work plus our family lives take most of our precious time. I know a lot of good sisters who are not married including me because the right guy did not come along. Don’t get me wrong, there are many brothers, but not one to really choose from. How many of you nomads belive that sometimes when comes to love that your mind and your heart dont' agree with each other. You know what I have learned one thing this year which is that it is always safer to go with what is in your mind because the hearttt sometimes is not the best source. Another hard lesson I learned is that most ofteen we tend to follow our hearrts it is accually good but when your instinct are telling you something is not right....then that is accually powerful messeges we accually ignore to rely. It is really good that people should listen to their guts and use their mind to guide them. It is good to think about segguations and play it in your head the different ouutcomes. Why are we called the dark contenent. Why are we associated with Aids and uneducated and are called the poorest contenant in the world. What can we do to change that perception? Just like india has done to change their perception of the world. Now india is respected for educating their country and having one of the best IT techonogy. Considering all the needs for doctors and nurses in somalia why don't the fortunate students here in abroad take advantage chance to learn and become great doctors and nurses. Indians who live in canada or any other abroad countries aim high to be doctors,nurses,eengeneers,MBA and IT specialist having in the back of their mind for one day helping India. Now india next to china are growing economically, it is accually called the best IT country. Not stepping of topic, I know when a somali kid gets sick, when his mother takes him to the clinic that he has to wait till 5pm sometimes to be looked after by a doctor for 5min and make diognosis. Why is that we young fortunate nomads do not think about our future as it helping our country? Why can we not but our interests aside and belive we can be everything by helping our country for the ocupations they need which is doctors,nurses, engeeneres etc.

Hey guys, I am sister who is fortunate to have a caring brother. He loves me dearly! I am the type to likes play fighting, some funny tricks I pull to my baby sometimes don't seem funny to him. Two example were dumbing a cold cold water over him while he was watching TV. The other was pretending I was mad at him and chasing him literly with umberla and braking the house lights and accually hitting him. It is sad to mention he has the brusies. Now, he is afraid to come near me because he thinks the only think left is for me to pull a knife over his nick. He is mad at me know, he doesn't even want to come close to me. I guess play fighting after all isn't fun for all the brother. I am glad there is a system that if a brother attempts to without consent you can scare him by saying 911. I did that and he automaticlly steped back. He said he wishes he was in somalia that way he can teach me one or two. He can't leave me know because we are family. Just a thought.... I am thinking about getting a councelling for my violence behaviour. Because I don't want my baby to leave,,,,,,personally i don't want to strike him everytime we have disagreement. Another think, woman can be violent in relationships to...look at me. Anyways, i am just sharing my view....please no harsh comments. Thank you!

Hi guys, i was reading article at hiiraan.com , it was about how group of somalians opened up a Coke factory in somalia. I think this is great idea, because it gets the economy going. If i had the money, i would try to open up more factores to make, past,wheat,eggs,cotton. Instead of always thinking about politics and who should get the crown to be the president, we somalians should really think about creating jobs, getting business going in somalia, OPENING SCHOOLS THAT HAVE CREDIBILTY.....LIKE GETTING ACCEPTED IN TO ABROAD COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. ALL WE NEED TO EDUCATE OUR SELFS. To love ourselfs and our people as one not to see each other as defferent clan....in the abroad countries ......we are families,,,when we go home(somalia)..why do we defferenciate. When somali men sit down to make plans for somalia..they should really think about the somalian comunity, how they could make the economy going, how they make factories?, making hotels for tourists. I love business, i would love to have business back home...........i can't do it alone,,,,,,,,,,,it would have beeen nice if there were so many others who would creat jobs. tell me what u guys think!
