Bro i am in support of anything that brings progress to any somali. but to me it seems that this project is more about ethiopia strenghthening its grasp on somali's,rather than improving berbera. YOU DO KNOW THAT THIS 700 MILLION IS NOT GOING TO BERBERA, ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF IT IS. just know, anything in the interest of somalis, is NEVER in the interest of ethiopia. very naive and ignorant to cooperate with the very same gov't that facilitated the fall of somalia.DO YOU HONESTLY SEE THE SHORT-TERM GAIN OF THIS GREATER THAN ITS LONG TERM LOSS?.. as far as recognition and politics of s- land...if it isnt s-land's first political priority to gain recognition, then is somaliland just a big BLUFF or what?..on the contrary, if somaliland is really seriouse about getting recognized, then why does it cooperate in such a big venture with ethiopia, without setting any conditions on recognition, while very well aware of the fact that ethiopia's need is much greater for this project than that of s-land. It seems that s-land gov't doesnt have a set political agenda. very contradicting. -
^^^thanks man...as far as the peace, although muqdisho is in a terrible situation, there are many parts of somalia that are in peace, yet still very underdeveloped...yes, i am aware that one needs to first crawl before walking: start small..again much appreciated sxb..i guess ive got some research to do....

Wretched, jobless, invisible: are Britain’s Somalis the enemy within?

Since the biggest hinderance of solving this problem is financial capacity, we should try and find non-profit agencies or even companies who are willing to support this cause. thats just a rough idea, please contribute ppl.

I gave a simplified answer, because the question was so broad sxb. yet, it is indeed a question every somali needs to ask one self. WE CAN MOST DEFINITLY CHANGE OUR DESTINY. what we need is collective effort, especially by all the somali's living in qurbaha. we need awareness bro. believe it or not, many ppl claim to know whats goin on in somalia, BUT ONLY A FEW DO. therefore, AWARENESS is the first step.

I have started this topic becuase i was wondering about whether the founders of the ICU have a hand in whats going on in muqdisho today, or if they are simply watching from the sidelines...by the way, does anyone know any of the key founding members of the ICU..if so please contribute...............

aslaamu calaykum guys...ive started this topic because of a recent talk ive had with my father who went back home to somalia a few days ago..while talkin to him, i asked how it is back home..and so he told me about the need for water..water is so scarce in somalia..that its transported from the cities to the towns, only for purchase: NO MONEY, NO WATER!!...keep in mind the cities themselves lack water for months at a time...at the thought of our poeple lacking the very essence of life: water, put a punch in my stomach and left me without air..and then on the contrary, when you contemplate on how many of us are here in the qurbaha who have degrees and are doin well, and yet completely unaware of the circumstances the poeple who are still back home are living in, is a tragedy. DONT FORGET THIS IS OUR HOMELAND, WHICH WE ALL "LOVE".Now imagine those who are poor and cannot afford water. So, i came up with this thought of starting a topic on brainstorming on the ways we would be able to meet the needs of our people, in need of water. this topic might seem too broad at first glance, but its not. we have all these non-sense topics on qabiil, politics, jokes etc. WHY NOT ON ONE WHICH ACTUALLY FOCUSES ON SOMETHING SPECIFIC AND FRUITFULL. I have deliberately chosen this section to start this topic: galvanize all of you intellects. I again repeat the question: How would you make water accessible in somalia (and i mean in todays time = NO GOV't)..first thing is first...HOW WOULD YOU RAISE THE MONEY?..or..WHERE WOULD YOU SEEK TO FIND THE INVESTMENT?......

A-God is omnibeneveleant (All Good) B-God is omnipotent (All Powerful) C-Evil (Both moral and Natural) exists Two possible solutions to this logical inconsistency: A is false B is false No matter how many modifications you attach to those two attributes, they cannot both be true with the existence of evil there arent TWO possible solutiions actually...all THREE statements are true...

the soul...what is the soul?...where does this soul reside?...how does the soul function?...and in fact, where did this soul originate from? every person regardless of origin, religion or mindset is aware of their possession of a inner matter. invisible matter. yet we are as certain of this matter as we are of our other internal organs. we commonly refer to this matter as SOUL. so then one asks, where is this soul? is it in my heart? is it in my head( brain )? or is it in the center of me: my gut? the soul is one's second state of being. it is within and throughout every part, every cell of man. never concealed, yet never explicitly evident in one's consience. the soul, a vital part in the grand scheme of things: man's journey through life, his deeds, his afterlife, and soul are intertwined. the soul is the battle field where good and evil clash, day in day out. the soul is the canvas where a man's past is vividly painted. the soul, present from the day allah sends his angels to blow life into you, and again, present as a testament for or against man on his judgement day. the soul, the very reason evil undertakes its relentless effort to deceive man: capture. some refer to the soul as the bridge or gateway to afterlife. on the contrary, it is death which serves as the bridge, and the soul is that which determnines in which vessel one's eternal life will dwell in. my dear brothers and sisters, guard your soul. P.S. did you know that every human body loses exactly 21 grams at the instant of DEATH.

from what ive gathered in this discussion, the subject is the pondering on the TRUE nature of things: what's behind the veil of reality we perceive. we only perceive that which allah wants us to perceive. if you have come this far, enough knowledge/wisdom to know there is more to this world allah has created than what our eyes reveal to us, then pause and sincerely thank allah, because he has bestowed much knowledge onto you. this quest some of undertake: "investigation of reality", is only human and not to be considered herresy. its a big subject..ill post my thoughts when ive gathered them fully...but for now my sincere advice is...do not forget to pause and thank allah for the knowledge he has given you..and then he might reveal more bits of the grand ordinance of his creation...in order to receive the answers you seek, you must earn them from him...by humbly acknowledging your ignorance to him and praying to receive more..... THATS MY TAKE FOR now
