waste of time. admirable effort but ultimately not needed. in my experience people of my generation don't have a qabil problem in this country (UK). Imagine if these young organisers had spent their time and money on after school eveining classes to bring up the attainment grades of our underachieving youngsters. we need to get our priorities right. you change a society by not initiating piecemeal programs that don't address the larger picture, but by targeting and helping our children irrespective of clan. educated youngsters in my experience are less inclined to be tribalistic.

Thanks for all your suggestions folks, we will try and incorporate some of your ideas into a 2hr show. The radio station is called Nomad Radio, located in West London. In particular a big thanks to all those who contributed such as blessed, Ibtisam et al. It’s going to take a lot of effort but I’m determined to make it a great show. Now all I need is a new name as the Politics show sounds a bit generic. PS! My anonymity is about to be blown wide open. Good thing I didn’t offend any people on SOL. Then again it’s not in my nature.

Hey fellow SOL’ers, i probably will be involved in a local radio station here in London very soon. Aimed at the Somali community in Britain and the wider diaspora. The show i will be working on will be based primarily on Politics in the UK and local issues affecting the Somali community in general. Issues like crime, under achievement in schools and the breakdown of the nuclear family will be covered. Will do interviews with local MP’s and councillors and senior police officers with regards to the Somali Community. These are ideas I have at the moment. I was wondering what else I could include to the show to make it an intellectually stimulating 2hrs. Any ideas and help most welcome.
