This is a prime example of somebody who acted on impulse… It’s clear that Sophist was shocked (to say the least) when his fellow Somali coworker broke the news to him. Now, I believe if Brother Sophist had taken the time to recollect his thoughts he might not have posted this in great detail. Nevertheless, we are all humans and when we feel strongly about something we often speak out almost instantaneously, not allowing time for the brain to process the thought simply because we believed it to be necessary at that point in time. Since he hasn’t officially hand his notice, let’s hope it doesn’t backfire; there are not many Somalis who fit in that profile…after all you were quite descriptive.

Sounds like the Admin is showing off his magic trick... * now you see……now you don’t * Lakiin it seems his audience were least impressed.

No, I don’t…not even close… but let’s say one day I am faced with such dilemma, ( though I wouldn't wish it ) how I would tackle it? Well, to be frank… if there is no chemistry to begin with it’s highly unlikely that I would agree to the marriage… yeah, some of you might say give it a chance… maybe after you got to know and care for each other, the attraction will came and he will get my spark plugs sparking …but what are the chances of finding a Faarax who sets that “special spark†in your heart in the first place . I would rather have that initial spark, and then when things become a routine, all I have to do is rekindle those flames. Like you said … “one cannot modify the physical make up of a person, but you sure can help in modifying the spiritual make up of a person who otherwise is good natured and who is crazy about me, but who nevertheless, is not following his deen as expected". A Woman’s love can transform a man…

^^^ Walalo haku daalin. Shyhem At first, Walahi you made me laugh, I hadn’t laughed this much in SOL lately….But then reading your words again, I realized that you are dead serious. So, what will my response be? Well, I can sit here and lecture you, try and make you see reason, argue with you, persuade you or even curse you. But, I see no point in doing so…dadkeenaa ku maah maaha… â€ceebtiis mahee …waa caadadiis†So, it’s obvious that you don’t see anything wrong with your chosen words, markaa Walaalo, Ilahay hakuu gargaaro, wax kale oon ku idhaa ma jirtee. This woman has taken the Date-Rape Drug to another level. OH blimey has she gone bonkers Selina Hakki drugged two men with Rohypnol Rohypnol theft woman found guilty A woman has been found guilty of spiking two men's drinks with a date-rape drug before stealing from them. A jury at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court reached its verdict shortly after Selina Hakki declined to give evidence. Hakki, 37, of Gale Street, Bow, east London, will be sentenced on 17 January on two theft charges and for giving them Rohypnol. Two men woke up hours after their wine was spiked, to find thousands of pounds worth of property missing. Banker Volker Vogler, 38, said he had met Hakki in a five-star hotel bar in Park Lane, central London, while celebrating his birthday in May 2002. 'Partially undressed' He told the court how he staggered around his flat in Knightsbridge, central London, trying to list missing items. Clothes, shoes, an Omega watch and a Tiffany alarm clock were all found in Hakki's home, the court heard. Film director Alexander Jovy, 34, told the court he could barely remember the evening in September last year when he met Hakki in a nightclub. She thought nothing of the consequences - anyone with an allergic reaction could have easily died Det Insp Paul Healy He said he woke up partially undressed to find his £5,000 Rolex watch, a present from his late father, had gone. Tests showed traces of Rohypnol in Mr Jovy's blood and urine. Speaking after the verdict, Detective Inspector Paul Healy said: "This woman deliberately targeted these men in exclusive bars because they looked as if they would own the sorts of items she wanted to steal. "She thought nothing of the consequences that administering a drug such as Rohypnol could have on someone. "Anyone with an allergic reaction could have easily died."

I think you misunderstood my point sis, you’re right there are many different races/nationalities that work within the UAE. Lakiin, my point is. If you’re an employer and you want the best candidate for the job, you should not be specifying the potential candidate's race/nationality. For instance, if a company is owned by an Indian, Pakistani or Arab they’ll expressly say Arab, Indian Pakistani. Equally, an employer does that over here (UK) and they’re taken to court for race discrimination. You catch my drift

Is there such thing as Equal Opportunity Employer in the UAE? Because it seems to be the only place (maybe not the only place, but economically advanced ) that can put preferred race/nationality within a job description…and get away with it.

I am more of a sporadic reader... I only read when I’m travelling and right that’s the 1hr tube ride to and from work, so I doubt I’ll finish this book by the end of the month… However, I am looking forward to reading it, it sounds like an interesting book. Paulo Coelho's books are unique and quite inspirational. Has anyone read Life of Pi By. Yann Martel ? I loved that book.

Well, out of everyone in here I thought you might have a clue on what I am on about, being Guardian n Protector an all It’s a cheaper way of obtaining copyright, since you’re not sure if it’s a winning idea… you wouldn’t want to spend a fortune on copyright contract... or would you?

Originally posted by Aniga The author/brother is day-dreaming. Bro, ideas are money, specially those that can be the basis of a fortune in the future, plus we're living increasingly selfish world. Unless one is a fool, in which case fools don't come up with good ideas, or extremely generous, people of this Zaman don't feel like giving what they can buck on. Completely agree with you there, and to post your ideas in a public domain? hmm not such a good idea  little tip before you post your idea/s in here, print it out put it in an envelope stamp it and mail it to your current address...once it's delivered DO NOT OPEN IT keep it somewhere safe...that way you have proof that this was your idea then we can pursue the lawsuit

And I thought this was just a phase.... but it seems the men of SOL have been campaigning for some time . Brothers, I really don’t see the use of having a section for “Men only “ but I hope you get some recognition as some of you are so determined. p.s. Silence does that E-mail list still exist by any chance?

Let’s see, Marka hore he showers you with Dahab… And when he cheated he showered you with Diamond… Well, in that case keep the Diamond coming . I will For-Get… if I can keep the Diam-On. Note to self ….Oh I must stop joking about these things… Would I fight over a man? I would like to say I would never fight over a man and degrade myself in such manner, (be it in form of physical fight or verbal aggression) laakiin only Allah knows and I hope Allah does not put me in such predicament.
