Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon OG.Girl, Sorry to hear about your father sis. My father passed away not too long ago and it was a very trying time for us all, i know how if feels to loose someone you’re so close to. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdous and grant your family patience. Be strong Sis... and please continue to make dua for him and remember him in your prayers everyday, May Allah accept our duas, Ameen Abu Hurairah (r.a.) [3] narrated that Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.) said, “When a man dies, accrual of merit in his favor from good deeds ceases except from three actions: 1. a charity which continues after his death, 2. knowledge left behind from which men continue to benefit, and 3. righteous offspring who pray for him.†(Muslim 4005) "To him do we belong, and to Him we will return".

It’s me or is the UK general election becoming more Americanized, more personality-oriented than ever, more expensive and using American terms such as OBV (Operation Black Vote) Anyways, according to many politicians " BLACK VOTERS have never been more important, and could swing the general election result." So UK residence will you be voting this year, If so who? Mine will have to go to Lib Dems this year.

^^^ lol and i thought I was a true love cynic Originally posted by Amethyst: Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less. So lets think about it - whats this mean?? I see, so "love" is when you're “willing†to put up more (crap) and the fact that you're aware makes it "worthy" miyaa? ...oh well as they say…if you want the Rainbow you have to put up with the rain ey. "There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience." - French proverb

^^^ Good Question. I think it is difficult to determine which life is more “valuableâ€, but I believe the child is at more risk for a difficult life without a mother. Suppose she has other children, would you say it’s fair? The loss of a brother/sister is tragic, but the loss of mother can harm them by depriving them the love and affection of a mother. Having said that, the mother's life is almost never 100% at risk. Additionally, there are alternative methods, like C-Sections which can protect both the mother and the child in most circumstances. Allah knows best.

Originally posted by Pacifist: Gosh what ackward moments...of course I would give them the speeches of I see you like a brother,,,,or I would just walk away and say nothing at all or I would tell them I don't really see you that way but I would love to keep you as friends if that it oky with them.... oh god, which is more insulting horta, not saying anything or saying you see him as just a "friend" I never know which direction to take Though I agree, initially one party wants to gain something from the plutonic friendship, right up to the “confession†point. However, as Pacifist said once you’ve passed that awkward moment you can be really good friends, and if you truly value the friendship then you need to be patient.

Movies are getting worse to say the least. Most recently I saw The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, (don’t ask why, I was with a friend who was a fan of Bill Murray). There was no obvious moral message, no dialogue/storyline, very predictable and NOT funny at all, it was pathetic, what a waste of screen space. Films are becoming a Product rather than the great Art they once were, It’s a shame.

^^^ LooL, reminds me of the time I was traveling with my Eedo and a couple started snogging….Eedo was like naa maxaay ninka kaga dhagsantahy miyey isku xishooto at that point, I started reading every advert in the carriage Shiver MAROON 5 You build me up You knock me down Provoke a smile And make me frown You are the queen of runaround You know it's true You chew me up And spit me out Enjoy the taste I leave in your mouth You look at me I look at you Neither of us know what to do [Chorus:] There may not Be another way to your heart So I guess I'd better find a new way in I shiver when I hear your name Think about you but it's not the same I won't be satisfied 'till I'm under your skin Immobilized by the thought of you Paralyzed by the sight of you Hypnotized by the words you say Not true but I believe 'em anyway So come to bed It's getting late There's no more time for us to waste Remember how my body tastes You feel your heart begin to race [Repeat chorus x3]

Hey did you know Prince Charles propose to Camilla Parker Bowles   ooops… wrong thread…I saw the word humor in the title On a serious note: I agree that death jokes do offend and upset people who have lost someone close to them, but as -Femme Fatale- said "Ngonge's post was that he was poking fun at his ignorance of the situation rather than the situation itself." I was there when the war broke out and like many I was too young to remember and fortunate because I was not exposed to many of the horrible and unfortunate things that took place. Please note that all jokes have the potential to offend, upset or annoy someone, it’s almost impossible to tell a joke and be “Politically Correct†at the same time.

Originally posted by NGONGE and then asked: “marka islanta ma duugteen?†In my primitive Somali, I understood the word “duugis†to mean giving someone a massage! I was starting to lose my temper and told him that she was dead, no more, passed away, gone! No amount of “duugis†would bring her back. I told him to watch what he’s saying and have some respect for the dead. Plus, how did he expect my to give my aunt a rubdown anyway? What did he think I was? My friend who was keenly following this argument, finally decided to step in and tell me that “duugis†means “burial†in that part of the world and not a “massageâ€! Alwaax fooqal alwaax nooh. and I thought I was the only one having trouble with that lingo... There was a time I thought Skukumaan was a type of "Nacnac" (Sweet/Candy)

Originally posted by Action Jackson I guess some ppls over exposure to homoseuality made it look less sinful to them.. those should remind themselves that is a devilish act which kindles the Anger of Allah which should NEVER be taken lightly.. Horta heedhe Why do you always jump on people’s throat?... Who said homosexuality was acceptable?...and Who is taking it lightly?... Mida kale Who made you the judge? and Why are you so quick to condemn?...What he/she does is between them and Allah, the best you can do is express your concern and make them aware that their actions/behaviors is unacceptable in Islam if they listen Alxamdulilah Allah will reward you for it…if they don’t let them be. Mr Action Jackson  Islam says to respect thy neighbors regardless of race or colour, (in this case his sexuality) and as far as we can tell this guy has caused no harm to Sophist. It was a private email he shared with his colleague not the rest of the world.
