  2. The Tale begins... Once upon a time there was a young, beautiful and independent woman who lived alone in her newly furnished contemporary apartment. She’s pretty social, good friends and she has just being promoted in her current job. Life was going good… when suddenly one day she had a visitor…this wasn’t just any visitor…this was a special delivery by a tall, dark and fairly structured young man with a mask on his face. He handed her a shoe box, inside was a single shoe and an envelope, then she looked down and noticed he was missing a shoe…she paused… so many questions going through her head…who is this man? Why has he taken off his shoe? What does this mean? She started to panic… Maya maya walaal, you must have confused me with someone else… I have no idea what this is all about… have a nice day…just as she was about to close the door he said… walaalo, I haven’t made a mistake….I am 100% certain is you who I am looking for, this might seem a little weird… A little weird…she exclaimed… Yes, I realize is very unusual and I can assure you I don’t do this often…in fact I have never embarked on such mission before and as much as you’re overwhelmed by this strange encounter, it is nerve racking for me. Ceebla, (her eyes lit up…how in gods green earth does he know my name, she said to herself) All I would like you to do is to read the letter that accompanied the shoe and please give a careful consideration, Barasho horteedna ha I nicin (lol such used and abused line, I couldn’t help but insert that one ) What’s with the shoe…she asked.. Well, they say a smart woman can look at a mans shoe and tell what sort of characteristics he posses .. Sheeko!... she exclaimed. I’ll come by Friday evening to know of your decision. Goodbye. Quickly hops to his car one shoe less She closed the door, stunned at what had just happened…she quickly runs to get her mobile phone...dialed at once was her best friend Caasha Cidhib’madhigto… Ceebla: Nayaahe, you never guess waxa dhacay, aduunka tuwalba you’ll see hadaanad dhiman. Caasha: naa maxaa soo kordhay, I just spoke to you few hours ago. Ceebla: wager, naa sheeko baan ku hayaaye, jump on the 120, this is not one I can finish over the phone. Caasha: Ok, I’ll be there in an hour Ceebla: Ok, btw don’t forget to pick up to tubs of hagen daz, Tesco are doing it 2 for a 5er Caasha: walee maanta war baa kugu dhan, I’ll be there ASAP Ceebla: alright, bye In the meanwhile, she examines the box…walks around in a circle contemplating…picks up the envelope, scrutinizes the envelope…. senses a smell hmmm….a very masculine…she recognizes the smell….hmm Channel Allure for Men….she then gently opens it…making it look like it hasn’t been touched…finds it difficult, and looses patience…so eager, so curious to read the letter…she quickly open envelope and begins to read…. (In association with Google ) Dearest Ceebla I love you in a way, which no language has or ever will be written beautiful enough to explain. Their are not enough words, emotions or acts that could be expressed to show the extent of my affection towards you. My love, you speed up my pulse and slow it down all at once, to the point that time just comes to a stand still, for time spent with you is never measured by looking at a clock, or rushing to be somewhere else, for you are my eternity, and every moment we spend I wish could last for eternity. I could ask you to be my wife, but I somehow feel as if the bound still is not quiet deep enough to fill the indent you have left in my heart, for I want us to one. One in mind, one in heart and one in soul. Be my spiritual mate, and reciprocate the undying loyalty, and agape love I have for you my dear. And let us be forever one, through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, not even letting death separate us, for you are always on my mind and in my heart. My dear everything calm my spirits and fears and tell me that you too want to be my forever. Yours truly, Cilmi Farax Lagacle What happens next??? Well this is where you guys/girls come in I need someone to write the conversation between Ceebla and her best friend Caasha. (phone a friend) Remember, Caasha, is here to advice ceebla on her dilemma. Pointer: Ceebla and Caasha must analyze the shoe, to get a feel of Cilmi’s character After that, Ceebla lists the pros and cons of the situation (50/50). And finally Ceebla puts it to the audience Let the creative ball roll
  3. ^^^ LoL "There's nothing like eavesdropping to show you that the world outside your head is different from the world inside your head."
  4. ^^^ Eeew Enchantment must you be so descriptive? Some of us do have a vivid imagination… Me dear, I see you missed the whole concept. Notice I said Masjid. Hence being a Muslim and incredibly gorgeous with equally gorgeous body . Highly unlikely right. Just as there are hardly any “straight forward†Faraxs’ these days.
  5. Hunting season miyaa…in that case if you see... in your local Masjid call 0800 - Cawo ammediately ( Though I’m an old fashioned type Xaliimo, I’ll make an exception this time)

  7. WHY is this on Woman's section?
  8. ^^^ Don’t shame us? Because you might want to marry a god fearing, loving, kind, considerate human being, who happens to be White/Chinese/Indian/Arab/African? ( though some somalis don't consider themselves to be Africans ) Ameenah Well said sis, I couldn't agree with you more. It would be understandable if these views were of our mothers and fathers. But what saddens me is hearing today’s generation talking like this, their hearts and minds filled with so much hate, segregation and discrimination. Yes, we all have preferences and you have the right to choose, by all means go ahead. Lakiin, you don’t have the right to disrespect and be racist towards other races & cultures in the process. Fear Allah, specially those who claim to be “practicingâ€
  9. Going back home is not a realistic option for any of us 3rd generation kids. As a “3rd generation kid†I would go back anytime and help stabilize the economy…of course with the right financial backing ... Yes, it will be difficult at first…but you didn’t fit like a glove when you first arrived in the western world…so why should this be any different? Lets' get back to basics shall we
  10. “Happy Slapping†It was reported on the news today that a school girl was knocked unconscious as result of this Happy Slapping craze sweeping the country. Few months back I saw a video clip of this so called “Happy Slapping†and it was of a man sleeping on the bus. A group of boys slapped him and started laughing while one of their friends recorded the whole incident. To be honest, when I first saw this I started laughing (the initial shock and the look on the guys face), but then you realize how distressing and pathetic it all is. Randomly beating innocent people on road/bus/school for amusement is just irresponsible and sadistic to say the least. Is this the new type of entertainment for today’s generation, people harming themselves or others?
  11. ^^ I heard it on the news the other day...Amazing story...I wonder if he will ever be identified The unidentified man known as "piano man" is picture in the grounds of Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, England. The mystery man's drawing of a piano.

  17. ^^^ True, wixii la qariyaba qudhun baa ku jira Notice how the majority are Men . Very few married woman surf the net regularly…and those are probably the ones who have not yet had any children. According to a Survey released today, Mothers spend an average 100 hours per week on work, childcare and domestic chores. All in all they get a mere 1 Hour to themselves, now tell me…does she spend time with her other half...? Maybe take a moment to relax and pamper herself or does she go online and post on forums? Imagine, how many hours somali mothers do a week...Since it's unmanly for some somali men to go into the kitchen or even help around the house
  18. sheherazade I know what you mean sis, I am hoping to set up my own business hopefully by next year, I am sort of half way there... currently I am doing some freelance/contract work, but even that is getting to me now Anyways, let me give you some motivation , here's another Dot Com success Travelocity buys Lastminute.com for £577m By Tim Richardson Published Thursday 12th May 2005 Lastminute.com is to be snapped up by US travel giant Sabre for £577m, the one-time dotcom darling confirmed today. News to the buy-out comes less than 24 hours after Lastminute.com announced it had "received an approach which may or may not result in an offer being made for the Company" - prompting shares to rocket more than 40 per cent. Today's offer by Travelocity Europe, a Sabre subsidiary, equates to 165p a share. Before yesterday's leap Lastminute.com's share price had been bumbling along at around 105p. The deal needs shareholder approval but execs at Lastminute.com are right behind the deal. Said founder and chief exec Brent Hoberman: "Today's offer from Sabre is an endorsement of the achievements of everyone at lastminute.com. Over the past seven years, we have built a business from scratch into one of Europe's leading travel and leisure groups, with over seven million customers and total transactions worth £992 million for the financial year ended 30 September, 2004." For Sabre, the pairing of Lastminute.com and Travelocity will boost its presence in Europe particularly in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia and Spain. By being able to extend its range of content - adding hotels, car hire and gifts to holidays and flights but as well - Travelocity reckons the tie-up "provides greater opportunity to profit from the fast-growing European online segment". Publishing results for the first six months of the year today Lastminute.com described its performance as "solid". Turnover almost doubled to £222m compared to £111.5m during H1 2004, while pre-tax losses rose from £39.5m to £45.2m. ®
