Somalia: Puntland President Praises U.N. Security Council Meeting on Somalia. Puntland State of Somalia PRESS RELEASE Garowe, 28 May 2011 The President of Puntland State of Somalia, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud (Farole), has praised the U.N. Security Council Meeting on Somalia, held in Nairobi on 25 May 2011. During a Thursday interview with the BBC Somali Service, the Puntland President was clear in emphasizing the value of the meeting and the discussions. “The meeting was a follow-up to the High-Level Consultative Meeting held in April [12-13, 2011] and was aimed at exchanging views regarding the Somali crisis and the end of the transitional period,” said President Farole. The President stated that the Puntland Government placed emphasis on three key points: 1) the reason for the establishment of Puntland as a Somali federal state; 2) Puntland’s experiences in fighting terrorism and piracy crimes; and 3) Puntland’s views on the end of the transition. “Because of the political differences [among TFG leaders], and the limited time, Somali stakeholders have been given a second opportunity to convene in June and to chart a comprehensive plan for ending the transitional period,” said the President. However, the President of Puntland stated that Mogadishu is “not the appropriate place” to hold a Somali conference, due to the chronic insecurity and threats of terrorism. The President called for the conference to be held “inside a peaceful and stable part of Somalia.” He underlined that Ambassador Augustine Mahiga, the Special Representative of the U.N. Secretary-General to Somalia, has an international mandate to lead the process of ending the period of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG). “The meeting concluded with three major points: 1) the U.N. Security Council was unequivocal for its support of Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence; 2) to hold elections for the positions of Parliament Speaker and President of Somalia; and 3) to convene a meeting in June for Somali stakeholders to chart the way forward, including TFG, Puntland, Ahlu Sunna, Galmudug, and Somaliland.” The President of Puntland told the BBC that, while a Somaliland delegation attended the conference as a fellow Somali regional administration, “some delegation members chose not to enter the conference hall.” A Somaliland delegation, which included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense, were present at the U.N. compound in Nairobi as the President of Puntland addressed the 15-member U.N. Security Council. The U.N. Security Council Meeting on Somalia was co-chaired by the Ambassadors from the United Kingdom and South Africa. The Puntland President’s delegation includes Interior Minister Hon. Abdullahi Ahmed Jama (Ilkajir) and State Minister of the Presidency for Good Governance Hon. Mohamed Farah Issa (Gashan). The delegation arrived in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Friday.

It's the world dictating to Somalia! Not the other way round, my dear secessionists get that in your head. Everyone who boycotts will be dealt with and lose the support of the International Community, of course the secessionist will be the first to come to that consultative meeting, with their subservient nature. -

Valenteenah, Nothing to be in awe there, afterall we're on the same page, different perspectives but our overall goal is the same. Thanksful, You welcome walaale. -
The question that now arises is will Siilaanyo finally tell the truth to the gullibable masses of Burco, Berbera and Hargeisa about the lies of the past twenty years? Or will he just like Rayaale hold on to the deceit and let the masses live in their self-made utopia of lovely Shankaroon a.k.a. Somaliland, hallucinating about a never coming recognition. I hope Siilaanyo will choose to be brave and not be a coward and finally let the big and shocking truth out to finally end the 20year long deceit and deception of the masses of Burco, Berbera and Hargaysa.

We welcome this newly approach as it will help further progress Puntland by opening a diplomatic channel whereby the recovery zones can tap into and deal directly with other countries, states and provinces thus helping it to develop and bring investment to the recovery zones and at the same time prevent extremist ideologies getting a foothold in the recovery zones. Puntland cannot wait for the rest of Somalia and the world realises that it was Mahiga who said when he first arrived in Puntland praising the administration 'You deserve to be helped because you sorted yourselves out' and I further quote 'Puntland is a role model for the rest of Somalia'. Thus we say: Ku dayo, ku dayo, ku dayo Puntland.

What I find odd is that nobody seems to thank me for my detective skills, haha. But I previously did impeccable work, so I'm used to it now. However we can say that the one reasonable person who gave a logical reply is Ngonge, who described and thus tried to disguise this exposé as a 'change of strategy' on his short comment on the matter. I cannot believe people actually still argue with the likes of JB or Xunjuf, who even went as far as to make up a non-existent title, which they ascribed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, The Official Title: UN-Special Representative for Somalia and Head of the United Nations Political Office for Somalia which they and Hargaysa and Burco tabloids renamed as the UN Special Representative for Somalia and Somaliland, haha. Even their TV stations and newspapers use this made up title. So what do you expect of the ordinary folks just like the ones of JB and Xunjuf. Next time reason with Ngonge. It's an valuable advice from Fiqikhayre personally. -
