Ngonge or Gonzales I didn't agree with the diaspora bit, which seemed contrived for me and not a genuine criticism of your calibre which greatly worries me. One more thing needs correction though and that is the whole western Bari dilemma, Hihglaan is approved and legitimate but to say the constituents of Western Bari are the same as those in Highland clan wise is like calling for a southern Nugaal because the people of Burtinle have more to do with the folks in Mudug than for example those in the rest of Nugaal such as Eyl, Dongorayo and Garowe etc according to this logic. However this won't happen the people of Burtinle are administerd from Garowe and Nugaal and not Mudug and the people are happy, they don't look to Gaalkacyo and Mudug and complain of being disadvantaged from the rest of the Nugaal populance. To be frank the whole article is rubbish and full of fallacies that are hard to ignore.

From the Interviews he was making it seemed like he was talking from a comfort and secure hiding place with the odd orchestrated shots behind him, the few AK47's in the background. With peace comes confidence and with confidence comes progress, so we have to aspire to those ideals. That's why you can't compare cities like Garowe and Hargeisa where people live their daily lives in peace to other places where peace is not an available commodity. The distinction is made in this world and because Mogadishu or Baladweyne are so fragile the UN won't relocate there. We need the UN to relocate to Somalia and if we have stable regions that they can relocate to we should welcome it with open arms because it will be a gradual progress of all UN agencies finally coming back and maybe a new Somalia can be realised from those regions and it's something I really would hope for to become a reality. It is no secret that those stable regions have established a system of law and order and governance which resembles political progress and maturity of the people living there. Still there can be some challenges to that peace and progress and not everything is perfect even in those regions however it is up to us to acknowledge this progress of theirs and the glimmer of hope. Not everything is doom and gloom in Somalia.

Nina what you saying is correct and GD realises it. However the distinction has been made. All of Somalia is not the same sadly. That's why the UN is relocating to Garowe and Hargeisa partly because they know that they will be safe there. They specifically didn't choose Mogadishu, Beledwein or Baidoa for that matter. I believe it is part of the recovery to acknowledge this fact and work towards the goal of stability and calm enjoyed by those regions. Don't you think along the same lines? Garowe International Airport Innaugurated Garowe(17th-August-2010): His Excellency, President Abdirahman Mahamed Mahamud (Farole), the President of Puntland State, cut the tape to officially open a new airport at Garowe,the administrative capital of Puntland. The new airport is located some 12 Kms from the heart of Garowe city. The first phase was completed after seven years of hardwork through a public private partnership. The innauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Puntland cabinet, authorities from the local government and invited guests. Also present at the ceremony was a high ranking official from the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO). Speaking at the innauguration ceremony, the Minister for Civil Aviation and Airports, H.E Mr. Ahmed Karaash spoke briefly on the efforts that gave fruit to the Airport. He attributed the success of the airport project to years of tireless efforts put in by a public/private partnership. The Minister said that the Airport project was the brainchild of President Abdirahman Mahamud, who was back then the Minister of Finance. He added that it was a sign of goodluck for the President to bear witness and cut the tape to officially innaugurate the fruits of his innovation. Speaking on immediate operational procedures, the Ministers revealed that the airport users will be charged a fee. Justifying the collection of user fees, the Minister said that the fees will contribute to the sustainability of the airport. The President of Puntland , H.E Dr. Abdirahman Mahamed Mahamud, said that the construction of the airport took a long period of time and was a journey filled with challenges and constraints. The President told the gathering that the success of the airport project was a good example of the outcome of hardwork. Appreciations were expressed to a local construction firm, Mubarak construction company, for their technical contribution to the construction of the airport. The end of the ceremony was marked by the touchdown of the first plane to land at the airport. The plane took off from Garowe Airport-which meets the required international standards set by ICAO-with the ICAO representative.

They're very active to say the least and their father won't tell them off, so expect more from his boys.
